About this campground/ rv resort rental
CAMP WHITETAIL is a one-of-a-kind amazing glamping experience! It is a 2 bedroom, 330 sq ft tree-tent that is superbly COZY, nestled on a private 5-acre wooded site! It is camping with modern conveniences and without having to pack up the house.
Inside you will find a comfy custom-made Queen bed and Twin bunk beds, custom made table for two, a kitchen with running water and a stove, stocked with the basic necessities. (Note; if the weather is going to drop below freezing at night water will not be turned on during spring or late fall due to pipes and water heater freezing up.)All you'll need to bring is your food and a cooler. The outside covered porch/deck has rocking chairs to take in the peaceful views while sipping coffee in the mornings or just enjoy a quiet evening under the stars. An enclosed outdoor bathroom is just right outside the tent, with hot shower and a toilet loo. The logs by the fire pit, with plenty of firewood, invite you to sit and tell campfire stories and roast marshmallows while creating new memories. The trail then leads to the water, where you can enjoy a trip on the canoe and paddle board (provided for you), lay in the hammock or fish in the clear waters of Douglas Lake.
You can cook in the tent on the gas stove, the outdoor grill or cook on the open fire in the fire pit, sit by the handmade camp logs and enjoy your meal at the fireside.
The red path from the parking area and between the tree-tent and the bathhouse is well lit all the way with solar lights, you can also turn on the porch lights and light up the woods. There are charging outlets 120V/USB for cell phone/laptops. There are only electric blankets. Check lake levels at Douglas Lake water levels as the lake are lowered during the winter starting in September to about March. http://www.douglaslake.info/Level/

We stayed for six nights. The area is beautiful and Douglas Lake is a GEM! The property is perfect if you love camping like we do!!!

I’m so glad we chose this place as our first glamping experience. The location was private and peaceful. We were there in July, so it was warm at night, but we loved waking up to cool mornings and having coffee on the deck. We had fans at night to help us stay cool. One of our favorite things was the outdoor shower. The Smoky Mountains were incredibly beautiful. We hiked some of the trails, swam in the river and picnicked along the way. This was a wonderful vacation. We would definitely do it again!

What a nice place tucked away in the woods. The kids spent hours in the lake, while my wife and i spent time hanging out around camp. Definitely a cozy place. Everything we could possibly need was available, was definitely nice to know if we needed something it was no further than a text away!

This “glamping” experience was adorable! The hosts had everything you need to enjoy the woods and the lake. We enjoying just sitting on the porch relaxing and playing games, making S’mores by the campfire, and taking the canoe out on the lake! We are not a camping family, so this was the perfect fit. We never felt uncomfortable (despite 90+ degree days) and enjoyed every moment of our trip! We hope to visit again!

We had such a great time. It was a hot 3 days but the fans that were there kept the air circulating. We all had a much needed break from everything and the privacy was wonderful. We will try to come back in the fall.

As a family of campers our daughters were a little worried about wanting to camp with our tents in a state with bears are present. This place was PERFECT. Us adults were still able to enjoy the peace and quiet of camping without the stress of set up/tear downs and our girls felt comfortable since it felt more like a house.
Property was clean and had all the supplies we needed! It rained off and on the whole week, there were zero issues. All around a very nice place.
The only two “issues”, more like slight inconveniences, were the dogs barking at all hours of the night (light sleepers), and the outhouse door butts up to the tent frame. It was hard to carry sleeping kids to the bathroom in the middle of the night when you can’t open the door fully.
But, I would highly recommend checking this place out! We have already been spreading the word!

We had a great time at camp whitetail. The area is serene and beautiful. The cove at the lake is a little walk from the tent but absolutely worth it. We brought our kayaks for fishing and should have brought a cart to take them down. Adrian was very helpful with recommending a bait shop close by. The tent is clean and stocked with just about anything you could need. I would definitely recommend staying here if you love nature and being away from the hustle of the city.

Absolutely the BEST Glamping experience one could ask for! High quality tent, beautiful site, clean and perfectly decorated. Truly, all you need is a backpack of clothes and a few groceries! Host Adrian has thought of it all! Hot shower, gas stove, bbq grill, firewood, kayak, lanterns, fridge and cooler, amazing fire pit, pots/pans, etc!!
Adrian is kind, extremely knowledgeable and such an amazing host!! Communication is perfect and his property is spotless! A great deal of time, money, energy and love has gone into his camp! We are so lucky to have found him! Looking forward to our next visit!!

Adrian's place was absolutely amazing. Everything was as beautiful in person as it was in the pictures. It was such a lovely, peaceful vacation in the woods. Adrian was so helpful and so kind, and I will definitely recommend this place to others.

This was our second time staying at Adrian’s place. It was perfect for our needs, and Adrian was very responsive to our questions. My daughter loved this trip and talks about going “glamping” often!

We absolutely loved this location, just wage we would’ve booked a few weeks earlier because the lake had been drained and that was one of the main reasons that we picked this location! We will be back!!

Our family returned for our second time during fall break and had an incredible experience. Hands down this is my favorite VRBO property that I have stayed at. The owner is very responsive and the property is so comfortable and relaxing. We will be back again.

We had an amazing time camping. Loved the setup here. We were in a secluded area. Everything you need is here. Enjoyed listening to nature here. We heard an owl in the early morning. This is a place to relax and relieve stress. Wish I could have stayed longer. My hubby and I had a wonderful time. We also loved going to the Bush beans restaurant and museum on our way to the camp site that is close by. You cannot go wrong camping here. The place is nice lit up at night with lights around the porch of the tent and solar lights up the pathway. I cannot say enough about this site except I wish it was in my backyard.

Took my bestie for her 50th to just get away and was perfect for just that. We were bummed lake already down. Make sure to bring plenty of ice. Takes about 15 mins 1 way to get more. Also bring chairs for around the fire. The benches are cool but not comfy. It truly was a perfect and the host was super responsive. We already looking to come back. Thanks!

Good location. Just far enough away from Sevierville to be away from the masses of people that stay in town. Very secure property.
The bathroom/ outhouse is actually very clean. And the shower system works very well.
I do recommend this property for future stays.

Get away weekend….it was a nice place to get away that wasn’t far from home. This is a great get away for two or small family. Short walk to the lake and overall you feel secluded.

We had so much fun. The property owner thought of everything to make our stay perfect. Very relaxing. The outdoor shower was very clean and relaxing as it looked out into the woods. My kids loves the lake and fishing out of the canoe. They even left a water and food bowl for your dogs. I recommend brining your own chair to sit around the fire. The ones there aren’t that comfortable. They have hammocks at the tent and lake area. Definitely will be back in the fall. Property owner was very responsive and tent was super easy to find. Beds are comfortable and everything is extremely clean. Bug spray and citronella candles are provided along with sticks for roasting marshmallows and hotdogs. I also was able to use a hair dryer with the electric there. The tent is so pretty at night lit up. We came back a few times at night in the dark. Recommend a small flashlight to walk down the path to the tent. Which we had so it was great. Charcoal is provided along with propane tanks for cooking. Everything is provided to start a fire. Such a great getaway. Definitely will be back in the fall.

The campsite is nestled deep in the woods and very private. You feel far from civilization without necessarily being that remote. It comes with every extra you could think of: including a couple hammocks and a canoe!
The tent has all the amenities of a hotel but with the cozy, rustic feel of roughing it in the woods.
Even the loo & shower is high class. Once you take a shower with nature right there you won’t want to bathe any other way!
Adrian is the host with the most, I stayed for 4 nights and 5 days and he was attentive to every question and concern I had ( no matter how trivial )
I highly, I mean HIGHLY recommend booking a stay at this wonderful glamping spot.
I think it’s worth noting that everything was very neat, clean and smelled fresh. The custom bed was way better than I have at home and he supplies whatever you could possibly need for cooking, grilling and such.
I will definitely be returning next year.

Overall, wonderful stay. There were dogs in the neighborhood that barked at night…kept us awake a couple of nights. Otherwise, great!

The tent was very comfortable. We hiked in the Great Smokey Mountain National Park and it was nice to come back to the tent and be able to shower and cook a meal. It did take me a bit longer than I anticipated to go back and forth but it was worth the travel for a relaxing night.

It was an amazing getaway. Adrian was an amazing host and was always available if we had any questions. The property itself was beyond our expectations and had everything you needed. The outdoor shower was refreshing and you get used to using the loo style toilet. Heard alot of wildlife too! Also, the canoeing and fishing part was gret too! Very relaxing. Already booked again for a weekend getaway in October!

Such a unique property. All the great things about camping that we love: being outdoors, campfire, privacy...without all the things we don't: setting up and tearing down camp. Also, so nice to have bathroom, water, and electricity. It had everything we needed, even 2 sticks ready for smores.
It was hard to leave.

Overall we had a great time. The property was very clean and well cared for. The owner was very communicative. One down side was the beds were not super comfortable, but we were able to make due for the short weekend. Also, the outdoor patio furniture was not comfortable to sit in for any extended time. Lounge chairs would have been amazing. Otherwise, this is an awesome property and we had a great time!!

Truly a recharging experience! I could totally live in that tent :) Couldn't have had a better stay!!! We'd love to be back.

We had a great time! We love an adventure! The host - had excellent communication, had thoughtful touches, and had things available that we wouldn’t have thought about! This is definitely a unique experience! The outdoor shower was wonderful! We were able to prepare meals in the mini kitchen and on the grill and fire pit(there are some pots and pans provided). There is a 2 burner stove , sink and counter top in the kitchen (no refrigerator), but a cooler is provided! (Remember to pick up ice on your way ) there is a wagon (which is super useful) provided to assist with getting items to and from your car. There was plenty of wood for the campfire and an easily marked trail down to the lake! We did bring extra flash lights and a speaker to have some nice music by the fire. We will definitely stay here again! Absolutely loved it!

We were very impressed with the property, we called it the “treehouse” It’s beautifully set surrounded by woods! At night, you plug in the lights on the porch & it’s peaceful. The outdoor shower was perfect, it was awesome to be able to look out at the top & see the nature. The parking area was well maintained with a lit up walk way. The first part of the walkway was a little steep but easy to maneuver. We absolutely loved our vacation at Whitetail Trail Camp & highly recommend it if you’re a camper & don’t mind doing your “business” in a bucket lol Adrian is a fantabulous host! With no heat/air, there was a fan & electric blankets provided bc the weather changes quickly up there in April. Any question I had was answered quickly. Just unplug your phone, except to play music, to enjoy the sunrise with birds chirping & turkeys gobbling to sunsets with the crickets chirping. If the lake is up, go throw some lines in & catch a few for supper! Go to town 15 mins up the road if you need anything or want to find something to do.

After navigating the insane crowds through Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge, we were relieved to arrive at this incredible getaway. Plenty of room for our family of 4, and we thoroughly enjoyed the outdoor space. We had campfires every morning and evening (with s’mores each night). The space was clean and well-equipped with everything we needed to enjoy our time together. We cooked most meals at the cabin, and our teenage son enjoyed many hours of fishing—just a short walk through the woods. We woke each morning to the sounds of turkeys and even spotted a few deer in the woods. Everything felt simple in the absolute best way—just what I needed. Host is incredibly honest (contacted me about our dog leash which we unknowingly left behind) and is quick to respond to questions. Thanks for sharing this quiet little sanctuary with us for a few days!
