The Silver Strand - Beautifully designed Bayfront Vacation Rental located at the southern end of Sandbridge.

The Silver Strand was completely remodeled in 2022. This 4000 sq ft home has 7 bedrooms and 6 bathrooms, an office (if you must work), 2 kitchens, 2 living rooms, both ocean and bay views, multiple decks and a large pool.

The Silver Strand is the perfect escape. Enjoy ocean sunrises and bay sunsets, gaze at the stars and listen to the peaceful heart beat of nature.

The Silver Strand is ideally located towards the south end of Sandbridge... it’s walking distance from the only two restaurants in the area, bring your bikes and ride through the famous Back Bay wildlife refuge, walk to the fishing pier or play at the park, the location couldn’t be better.
No outside guests on the property other than those on the booking.

No Parties or events, $500 fee & immediate cancellation.

Absolutely no smoking, $500 fee if property smells like smoke of any kind.

Maximum of 8 cars per booking and all cars must be parked in driveway spaces.

No chairs in the pool, it could tear the liner and guest will be liable.

We do not accept local bookings & guests must be over the age of 25 to book.

Cathleen & Chris were amazing hosts that made us feel incredibly welcomed. We had a large group of friends traveling from different places and they were very accommodating to any of our questions and made the place feel like home! They even went above and beyond to ship an item after our stay that was left behind. Definitely recommend booking with them!

My family and I decided that this year we were going to plan our first big family vacation before the summer ended. As we were looking on Vrbo for a house to stay at, Silver Strand showed up and we could not keep our eyes off of it. It was the perfect home, really close to the beach and although they don’t allow pets, l asked the Hosts if they would allow me to bring my one year old mini poodle and they did, which I was so happy about. We had adults, teens. a 7-yr old and two twin babies and I can say that we ALL enjoyed the house to the fullest. The pool was a favorite of all the guest in the house, we would hop into the pool at all times of the day!! The home is exactly as what is shown in the pictures. It’s clean, they had essential items for cooking incase you forgot to bring something and in the bathrooms too. We’re so happy to have had our first family vacation at Silver Strand, it was the best! We’ll definitely be planning to come back next summer.

The property is nice and large. Everyone had their own room for privacy, yet plenty of living space to do things together. Has a great dining area for everyone to enjoy, as well as many decks and patios. Great pool with shallow area for little ones, and a dock to go kayaking or fishing, if you choose. The ocean is only a block away.

Our group of 16 truly enjoyed the hospitality and beauty of the SIlver Strand. The home and surroundings were pristine. We look forward to recommending this property to other friends and family who may be traveling in the Sandbridge/Virginia Beach area!

Our stay at the SILVER STRAND was exceptional! The layout of the house is great for a large family get together! The house was immaculate, and the location was perfect! We enjoyed the pool and the ping pong table as well as the beautiful decks!! The owner's even left a nice bottle of wine to celebrate our daughter's wedding. It was such a special touch!!! Thanks for the great weekend!!

We had a wonderful time at the Silver Strand traveling with our families including 3 kids, ages 2-6. Our favorite was the truly perfect beach in the morning and then relaxing by the pool all afternoon! The pool has a few “levels” which are perfect for kids. Everything was easily accessible and the house has all amenities you could ask for- fully equipped kitchens, new grill, kids toys/books, Ninja blender, coffee and keurig. The owners were very responsive when we had a problem with the garbage. It is a bit of a walk to the beach but the owners provide a beach cart which makes it easier. Plenty of space for everyone in the house and multiple decks! If you are a sensitive sleeper, be sure to bring your own pillows as they are a bit flat. Other than that trivial detail- a truly wonderful place to stay in Sandbridge!

We had a fabulous time with friends and family over the holiday weekend. What a great home to stay in! Lots of room, right on canal, and we loved the pool. Hosts were absolutely wonderful- good communication and answered all our questions quickly. Highly recommend to travelers!

My wedding party and I stayed here leading up to my wedding. I had a wedding party of 6 close friends and family and we stayed at this house the days leading up to my wedding and the wedding party stayed there the night of the wedding. The house was beautiful, had more than enough space and the location was perfect for our Pungo wedding. The morning after our wedding was a bit slow moving and I messed up the checkout time (checkout is at 10, NOT 11) but Chris & Cat and their cleaners were kind and were able to work around us while we did our best to pack up and get out of their hair. Would highly recommend a stay here for anyone visiting the Sandbridge area or looking for a relaxing spot to spend time with friends and family.

We stayed at Silver Strand during our daughter’s wedding weekend. This house is so spacious! The 2 living areas feature was very nice, so the kids could have their own space when they wanted. I am a bit of a germaphobe, so I very much appreciated how clean everything was. The water view and outdoor amenities was even more than described. Communication with the owners was always swift. I would highly recommend this home!

We had kids, grandkids and we all loved the house - set up, decorations, amenities. 2kitchens were a great help getting everything done at once. Distance to ocean was a nice walk. Thinking of VA Beach for a week instead of OBX.

I can’t say enough about this space. It is absolutely BEAUTIFUL! I don’t think the pictures give the whole story of the home. It’s HUGE. Enough space for everyone, very clean, easy check in and was equipped with a lot of things we needed. The teens us were blown away as soon as we walked in the door. Thank you Cat, Chris, Lindsey & Pete!

The property served it's purpose. A nice place to sleep as a family under one roof! We spent more time away from the house site-seeing around Virginia Beach, and DC over th week! Home was as pictured and clean. A very nice property. Considering coming back for the hotter months!!

We have stayed in sandbridge probably about a dozen times, and this house is very clean, updated, and well-maintained. It’s one of our favorites. Cat was awesome to deal with and very responsive. We’ll be back to the area for sure and this will be a contender depending on how many are able to come and cost . Po was awesome too. thanks

This property is in a great location with fantastic views. It's a large house with plenty of space - we had four families in the house and there was plenty of space for all us. Teens loved having the downstairs to hang out separate from the adults. One thing to note is that the VRBO listing states 4 king beds, 2 Queens. In fact, there are 3 king beds and 3 queen bed. Not a major deal though.

Amazing life long memories were made this weekend and most in part to this phenomena home. The home exceeded our expectations and the guests were in awe all weekend. The hosts were AMAZING. Responsive, flexible, accommodating, and kind. The attention to detail in this home was head and shoulders above any other property I’ve stayed at. We wanted for NOTHING. I enthusiastically and without hesitation recommend this property for your next vacation or get together. One million thanks to the owners will never be enough.

The Silver Strand has been beautifully redone. It's well appointed for families and groups. We enjoyed our stay, had plenty of room. Enjoyed the easy walk to the beach, private pool, decks, and kayaks! Wonderful property, we didn't want to leave and the kids wanted to buy the house!

We had a wonder time, the house was beautiful and very spacious for everyone. We loved the pool and the walking distance to the beach was okay. It was great having the bay right behind the property. Nice and quite neighborhood. The communication with the property manager was great, they took care of everything and replied very fast to our needs. The welcome card they left for us at the beginning of our stay was really nice and made us feel like home! We look forward to staying again soon!

We have been coming to Virginia Beach for the past 5 years. This is by far the best place we have stayed. It is as beautiful as the pictures. Fantastic experience.
