This 1940s duplex is quaint and refreshing and recently remodeled. Step back in time and enjoy the charm of this 2br 1ba with only a short 5-10 minute walk to the train depot, shopping, and many restaurants. Enjoy the history of BC Overlook as it was once owned by the infamous Dr. Bacon who practiced medicine in this small town for years. Watch the Steam Engine leave the Depot, or take a short 5 min drive to the GSMNP @ Deep Creek. Stay Active, or Just Relax. Either way you are Welcome Here!

The space
Retro appliances in the newly remodeled *efficiency kitchen (Microwave, Toaster, AirFryer, Crockpot, Full Size Refrigerator). Guests will enjoy 2 bedrooms, both with queen size beds, 1 bathroom with the original 1940's tub/shower, and a spacious living area with a smart T.V. and local literature. Private entrance with spacious parking. Our families have lived in this area for generations, and we are excited to share some of its' charm with you.

The view from this place was awesome. Home was exactly as described. Beds were comfortable. Just note the kitchen is not a full kitchen it is a kitchenette there is no stove. This place is very close to the downtown it takes less than a minute to get there. We enjoyed our visit and would stay here again.

This was a beautiful getaway location in good proximity to the park, the forest, and downtown. If I were to change anything I’d fix the towel rack ( it was broken) and would also put some hooks on the back of the bathroom door to hang towels. There wasn’t anywhere great to dry them so we mainly hung them outside. I’d also recommend that people bring paper plates or something that can be microwaved. There is a microwave, but the dishware is Plastic or metal. Other than those minor blips, it was a good experience!

Our family wanted to explore Bryson City and hike in the Great Smoky Mountains. This property was a close drive to the hikes we wanted to do and we were able to walk to dinner in Bryson City after we returned for the day. The views in the evening were also spectacular!

This was absolutely the best time! My best friend and I loved our stay so much that we plan on bringing our husbands next time! It was quiet a with a beautiful view of Bryson City. Just the perfect location to town.

Lovely little place. Close to town but the hill is a bit steep for us to walk. Good shower and comfortable beds. The host is very responsive.

Wonderful place! It was clean, cozy, nicely decorated with comfortable beds and pillows! The living area had plenty of space for our family of 4 and was comfortable to relax in at the end of the day. Little thoughtful touches within the home. Awesome view of downtown Bryson City. Location was perfect, 2-3min drive from main downtown street. Only used the microwave and toaster for whatever food we ate in and that worked perfectly fine. Definitely recommend this place!

We enjoyed our stay at BC overlook. I was very pleased with how clean it was and the beds were very comfortable. We enjoyed Great Smokey Mountains National Park and rose GSMR’s Polar Express and had a blast! I would love to come back possibly for an anniversary weekend without the kids so my husband and I could explore more.

Everything was great at BC Overlook. We could watch the train coming and going which was a big treat for our granddaughter. The beds were comfy, too! Great location and just right for our party of three. A little too far for us to walk to downtown, especially in the dark and coming home, as it is all uphill. Lots of parking downtown so we were good.

I stayed four nights and it was a wonderful experience. The duplex was comfortable, clean, and quiet. The view from the deck is beautiful. All communication with the property owner was helpful, and I appreciated their quick replies to any questions I had. I would definitely stay there again.

I would not recommend this property for a couple of reasons. First you do not have your own thermostat control for the rental. I should be able to control my temperature setting. It was hot both nights. Even after contacting them, it didn’t get any better. Also, the front door will not close. When you shut it, it doesn’t fully close and you can push it open without the code or turning the door handle. It was clean and contained linens, towels, etc. The fire pit area needs some attention. It is almost overgrown with kudzu.

Location is perfect! Not stuck in the middle of the touristy portion of town, but within walking distance of everything in Bryson City (just as advertised). The view overlooking the town is breathtaking. The entire property was decorated with such detail, and yet check in/check out was a very simple process. When we visit Bryson City again, we hope to stay here again!!

This little bungalow did not disappoint. The views of Bryson City lit up for Christmas were beautiful not to mention one of the most comfortable beds I have ever slept in. The owners respond almost instantly as well. We really enjoyed this stay and hope to go back soon.

Perfect location for a quick getaway to Bryson City. We rode on the Polar Express, so our daughters loved being able to see and hear the train at night. The property is beautifully decorated and the beds were very comfortable. We will definitely stay here again for our next Bryson City trip.

The house was perfect for a Mom and daughter girls trip to the mountains. It was decorated so nicely and had a great view of the town, mountains, and the steam train! The location was ideally located to the Great Smokey Mountains National Park, which we took advantage of daily to go on hikes and enjoy the cold weather we do not often have being from Florida. We will definitely come back to the charming town of Bryson City!

The place is very clean and decorated very nicely but not being able to control the temperature is a deal breaker for us. The remote control for the fan was hidden behind some curtains with no instructions to find it and no instructions telling us we couldn’t control the temperature. We were all sweating all night and could not sleep.

My husband and I stayed here for 3 nights while we visited the surrounding area. The pictures are accurate and I was impressed with the cleanliness! Nice view from the deck. We were able to walk down to the Smokey Mountain Railroad and avoid parking issues. The temperature is controlled by the owners and they were prompt to respond to our request for adjustment. Ideally, it would have been nice to readjust during the night, but it wasn't too bad. We would definitely stay again!

We absolutely enjoyed our stay! Location was extremely convenient for a brisk walk to town, food, and shopping. It was perfect for us 3. Perfectly decorated yet still comfortable and very clean! Although located in town, it was quiet. It was nice being back in my hometown, with a clean, comfortable, convenient place to retreat to after visiting family and friends and adventures all day! Checking in and instructions were very easy and view was AMAZING! Can’t wait to come back ❤️
