The location was quiet, and there was potential for a peaceful and relaxing stay.
The owners seemed to be obsessive with rules and messaging you about the rules, and the fines imposed on your security deposit if you broke those rules.
I found that counter-productive to relaxing, such a shame. The staff were different, very nice. The Wi-Fi was down the whole stay.

The house was to a very high standard. The room was fantastic and the bathroom was also lovely. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful and was a great experience.

The property was lovely! In such a stunning location with gorgeous views. Very grand room and lovely big comfortable bed. Loved all the old books.
As soon as we booked the property we were bombarded with text messages about our stay. We didn’t reply within 30 mins and another message was sent and a phone call. We just found this a little intense

very peaceful in a lovely old Manor House
the library room has no tv, but personally it wasn’t an issue with me at all.

I stayed in the Library which without doubt was one of the most charming and eclectic rooms I've stayed in. The whole property is unusual and interesting but the room itself was warm and inviting with great attention to detail.

very quiet, lots of options for extra add ons if you have the budget, cheery staff - we paid extra for dinner that was really nice & good value for money for ease.
information overload the sheer amount of email’s received with info for this property probably surpasses the last six months of travelling + an abundance of posters signs consuming the spa & common areas of the country house made both of us feel really overwhelmed that we’d be in trouble if we didn’t turn off/on/up/down radiators, lights, covers, towels, bins etc etc distracted from an overall relaxed trip if it could all be condensed into one email / pamphlet / pdf / information book with expectations and rules it’d feel less restrictive.

Location was great. Very quiet. Everything was laid out for your arrival with instructions as i arrived after 'office hours'. Room was very comfortable.
No washing facility for cups etc. or to refill the kettle!. Certainly wouldn't put me off staying again though as it was lovely

The whole experience from arrival to departure was outstanding, to say the least. From the idyllic setting to the sumptuous period decor, this place is amazing!! The room was impeccably clean and spacious, and the bathroom was to die for! The communication from Emily was first class, I will certainly be back again soon and will very much be looking forward to it!!

The personal was lovely
Very cold in the room. When we arrived at he propriety because I made the booking on the booking.com site when we arrived the owner of the property didn't find my booking. After you make the booking you need to pay a deposit of 100£ and you receive it in a week back and you need to reply at them emails (for me a waisting of time). In the morning when we leaved the property I was almost to be bittet by the dogs from their neighbours. I will never come back .In the booking was a deluxe room and when we arrived there we had the bathroom on the hall.

Beautifully renovated into a unique quirky B&B
I know I booked through an online service, but not being very techy I would always rather pick up a phone and speak to someone rather than have to keep checking emails and messages!!!
I know I’m a dinosaur!!

Lovely house and a lovely room. Clean and well provided. Breakfast basket was very lovely!
Never had this many house rules come on to me so many times, leaving me a bit anxious at departure for having done anything wrong or having missed anything.

Very pleasant period property and very well serviced. I didn't meet anyone else as I arrived very late but was well accommodated.

I loved the Library room it was so comfortable and dog friendly. It was decorated exquisitely and the little touches were lovely , I felt completely at home ,the staff especially EM was very friendly and welcoming and offered recommendations to the local area ,I wouldn't hesitate to book again , and the brekki was yummy first class well done to all top marks .
Didn't expect to pay a deposit however I completely understand due to the nature of the property and not all visitors are respectful or mindful maybe this could be looked at being slightly lower just my opinion ,but this is a very minor downside to a very enjoyable stay can't wait till I can stay again x

Beautiful room with the most amazing copper tub! We loved the spa (the milk bath was a very fun experience) and the breakfast was generous. The house and gardens were beyond expectations. We even had a great night sleep - so peaceful outside of town. Hope to come back soon!
Nothing - everything was perfect. Thank you to the hosts.
