This house is very large. Great for a big family. The pool is an extra luxury at the beach.

So we were told we could not check in till 4 to allow for cleaning...we checked in at 430 and they were still cleaning. The pool guy was cleaning the pool and it was green and cloudy. we were told it would clear up in an hour or 2. It did not we were not able to swim in the pool at all and i had 10 girl scouts very disappointed. The flooring on the first floor was also in many places not safe. There were loose and lifted flooring everywhere. The floor was horribly uneven and in one place there was a hole the floor under the rug. The Oven knobs were all broken and it made it difficult to cook meals. The ground floor desperately needs to have some repairs from a professional made to make the home safe.

We enjoyed the house. It was clean and spacious. We had more than enough towels to use. The kitchen needed a few more pans. The pool did not get clean until the day we left. This was disappointing as we booked the rental because the kids love to swim. Overall, beautiful rental.

After being canceled by the owner of Cannonball Cove last minute, we searched for this property. It was great since the minute we walked in the property. The owner has great communication skills and is always aware of you in case you need something. We had no issues what so ever. My family enjoyed every minute spent there. I totally recommend and I am looking forward to booking again in the future. Definitely worth all the stars and would rate higher if I could. I am spreading the word back home and sending the link for recommendations.

Our family had a nice stay. The kids loved the pool and there was a ton of space. Our recommendations are as follows: we feel there should be more hooks in bathrooms and rooms for towels and bathingsuits. When we arrived the floors had not been cleaned thoroughly especially the stairs. Other than that, we had a nice stay

Everything was wonderful and very clean , the only thing i would say is that in some of the restrooms we did not have hot water. But besides that everything was great ..

We had a group of 15 friends and family leaving for a cruise and were able to all stay together the night before we left. The house was spacious with plenty of room for all us. The pool was nice and refreshing as well. The location was perfect for us as well.

My family & I booked a last minute booking due to a death in the family. We we're throughly impress with the house. The house had all the things we needed. Mr Russell was awesome. He was very responsive to my questions & needs. The outside pictures did not do the house justice. We're already in communication for upcoming stays. Thanks for making our stay pleasurable.

Our group of 15 celebrated an early family Christmas in this beautiful home. We had plenty of room to spread out, the beds were comfortable, and the kitchen was a very generous size to prepare and serve meals for all our crew. The kids, ages 5-13, enjoyed the game room and loft area, and the weather provided one nice night to have a bonfire outside in the nicely provided fire pit. We did bring our own wood. Minor issues included missing key items in the kitchen, (corkscrew, hot pads, oven mits, cookie sheet, and salt and pepper), and some areas (floors and baseboards) that needed some additional cleaning. Overall, for us anyway, the weekend was perfect!

We rented the home to bring extended family together with an elder who “missed her family.” This was the perfect home to grant her that wish as well as provide a great getaway for our family! The children loved the video games and third floor dedicated to them and the adults loved the patio and open floor plan on the main level.

The property was modern, beautiful, and perfect for everyone that stayed in the house. It was the perfect location between the Stand and the Seawall.

The house itself is pretty great. Lots of bedrooms and beds and lots of bathrooms. There some basics you would expect that were missing: something to hang your towel on in the bathroom; something to hang your clothes on in the bedroom; an oven mitt; a corkscrew; a box of tissues; a bar of soap or body wash for the shower (each bath had one very small bar of soap for both the sink and the shower). There were no paper towels although they were on the list of things provided and the provided coffee was less than enough to make one pot. The oddest finding, however, was a recently patched ceiling in a downstairs bathroom that had not been painted and a floor covered in sheetrock smudges and footprints. This house could be fabulous for big groups and even has stuff for kids but they need to pay a little more attention to the details of staying away from home. The little things can make a stay!

This house is very spacious and beautiful inside and out. It’s very centrally located, not far from the beach/seawall or The Strand. The house was not as clean as expected upon arrival (bathrooms were not clean) and it sleeps 23 people but there is not even 1 pot/pan to cook with (glad I brought 2 of my own) and not many cooking utensils . There was everything else you would need in the kitchen. The pool in the backyard was a hit with the kids and the fire pit was also a nice touch. Communication with the owner/manager was great. Would definitely stay here again.

This house was a pleasant surprise. So much space. Stayed here with 12 of my clients and there was room for 12 more if wanted. We will be back

Wasn’t pleased with cleanliness of the home. The bathroom tub was plugged.

Loved the house! Everything seemed so clean and high quality if that makes sense? We just really had a great time, and made good use of the fire pit/soaker pool in the backyard.

Loved the old school spiral staircase in this house! Super well decorated and tasteful. Very clean and professional host!

We stayed at this house before leaving on a cruise with our very large family. The home was perfect and comfortable enough to fit us all. The host was very responsive and gave us a lot of recommendations for activities and parking. If we ever plan a trip like this again, we will be booking this home.

House was super nice and bigger than it appeared from the outside. Also very close to some good restaurants!

This rental home was the perfect spot for our family reunion. The location couldn't have been better, it was right in the "heart" of Galveston, close to all the best restaurants, shops, and attractions. The house itself was spacious and comfortable, with plenty of room for everyone to spread out. Overall, we had a fantastic time and would definitely recommend this rental to anyone looking for a fun and convenient vacation spot.

We had a 7 person group (all adults) meeting in Galveston prior to departing on a cruise together, and this house more than met our needs! Lots of great areas for gathering and plenty of bedrooms and beds to go around. The central location meant easy access to the parts of the island we wanted to visit, and resulted in a short drive north to the cruise terminal on the last morning of our stay.
The house has been very nicely updated, and while we didn't do any cooking, there seemed to be plenty of plates/cups/silverware, etc to go around. The beds we used were all very comfortable (though one downstairs one had squeaky springs), baths had plenty of towels, and the laundry facilities were very nice to have. There were a few very small items that could be improved (squeaky bathroom doors, lack of hooks in bathrooms, and lack of a hair dryer) but we informed the management so hopefully those will get taken care of and won't be an issue for future guests.
We very much enjoyed our stay, would definitely stay again, and recommend for others looking for space for larger groups!
4.0 / 10.0
The house was very clean on arrival but we regrestfully would not recommend staying here for so many reasons below.
1) Having to wait 5-10 minutes for hot water each time we opened any faucet in the house was ridiculous. At times there was no hot water so we had to skip showers. On top of that the water pressure was low everywhere.
2) We arrived to a hole in the ceiling which continued to fall apart into our second day there and we were blessed that no children were hurt. They should never have rented it or relocated us because the hole was unsightly from the very begining.
3) The neighborhood is sketchy at best and the house next door seems abandoned.
4). We had to sanitize and lean up tables, chairs, bathtub after repairs were made for the celing and shower fixture
5) Maintenance indicated due to plumbing water pressure could not be corrected so a colossal known issue was not disclosed before in rental info
6. Management refunded just a few hundred dollars which added insult to the horrible, unsafe vacation.

Our family enjoyed our stay at your home. Plenty of room and immaculately clean! We will definitely book again!

We had a fun gathering with 3 families and really enjoyed our stay. Plenty of room for all 15 of us to sleep and spread out. Kitchen is huge, couch and beds are comfy, and 3 “master” bedrooms were perfect for our group. The top floor with games was fun for the kids. Location is good too- central to most Galveston attractions.

This house is just as or better than advertised! Clean, plenty of room, great location, and very comfortable! We look forward to staying here again on our next trip to Galveston!

The communications prior to check in were prompt and clear. Allowed for early check-in since we arrived in town sooner than planned. The house was spacious and clean, with a decent amount of parking. It was a convenient location and i would have given that five stars, but that one way street is a little busy. Not a big issue though, it is minutes away from everything you’d want to go do while staying in Galveston. No one had to share a bathroom which is a plus and there is enough rooms to have your own private space to. I would stay here again no doubts!

Very nice property. Very clean and well kept. Very spacious and we plan to stay again soon!

Unfortunately there were no closets in any bedroom. The rooms are a great size. Floors were a little dirty when we got there with hair, wrappers and dust. Some showers or clogging and water was not going down. Homeowner was very attentive to my complaints and did send a cleaning company and a maintenance person. Parking is great is that two cars in the back and a few cars up front the area. We were a group of 16 people and everybody was comfortable.

The Heart of it All, has it all! The beautiful home is spacious open and has an elegant style that really makes you feel s if you are in a 5 star hotel. The winding stair case the spacious bedroom the open kitchen and all of the amenities made our weekend stay a memorable one for years to come. Our group had 16 ladies and we all had enough space to move and fellowship and the gorgeous bathrooms made our stay well worth the research we put in to finding the perfect stay for what we were needing. The team replied promptly and kindly to my many emails and we will definitiely recommend and share with family and friends who need somewhere to lodge in Galveston. Beautiful home.
