Newly refurbished apartment in the heart of beautiful Grasmere. It has 2 elegant, comfortable bedrooms each with their own private bathrooms so ideal for families or to share with friends. It offers a comfortable kitchen, dining area where you can sit and eat meals, chat, play family games, read a book or watch the Sky glass TV. The master bedroom has stunning views from the huge Georgian windows that also look over the village green. There are 2 lounge chairs so you can sit with a cup of tea/ coffee or a glass
of wine and watch the world go by! Lots on offer at your doorstep. Shops, bars, coffee shops, restaurants and Grasmere is famous for its fresh gingerbread and of course, Wordsworth. Take a stroll around his daffodil garden or enjoy a hike up the many breathtaking hills. So much to see and do. Once you have taken in all that Grasmere has to offer, the Lakesider bus stop is just a stop is just a stones throw away and you can explore the neighbouring villages like Ambleside and Bowness.

This is a lovely 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom apartment located in the centre of Grasmere.
Everything was as described online and the host was very responsive and helpful.
It was just me and my husband, but it could fit a small family or two couples. It is small but very clean, well laid out, nicely decorated and stocked with everything you would need.
It is up a flight of stairs so be aware of that if you have access issues. There are other rental apartments next door and upstairs but we couldn't really hear them.
It comes with an assigned parking spot which is definitely needed in Grasmere if you have a car, as its a very popular tourist spot with very limited public parking. We had our spot nicked by a cheeky neighbour one night, but our host was extremely helpful in helping us resolve it quickly.
Grasmere itself is a wonderful place to visit. Local Coop for basic groceries, several good pubs, cafes and restaurants. We ate and drank very well, all in walking distance.
Lots of hiking and wild swimming around Lake Grasmere.

Excellent central location in Grasmere - but quiet in spite of that.

The flat was wonderful - modern, efficient, well appointed. Private parking was an added bonus in such a busy village. A full-size eat-in kitchen along with two ensuite bedrooms was a great luxury. And on the rainy days, we played the games and put together the provided puzzles. I would definitely stay here again.

What the site or photo doesn’t really show is that this property is bang in the middle of the village. Lots to do and see there. It’s bright and clearly recently updated. Warm big fluffy towels and nice welcome pack. Comfy beds both rooms en suite and the living room/kitchen fab. Nb there is only one parking spot if there is more than one car it can be interesting. Set in stunning area there was nothing not to like

We loved our stay at Abigail's View! After you climb a set of outdoor stairs, you enter the apartment into a large kitchen/dining/living room with a large table and bench seating. Then you go down 3 steps an back up 6 steps to get to the two bedrooms each with its own bathroom. The decor in both bedrooms is delightful evoking spring fields and the larger bedroom has a beautiful view of the green.
The unit is equipped with lots of thoughtful touches including games, books, umbrellas, coat hooks and shoe racks and, of course, a well-stocked kitchen including a dishwasher and washer/dryer.
We never met Simone, our host, but she responded promptly and kindly to any query.
Finally, the location was ideal. The unit is above Green's Café which offers delicious food for all diets and just down the street from Sam Read's booksellers whose knowledgeable owner is happy to offer suggestions. Just around the corner is a small Coop grocery and you're just a short walk from everything in Grasmere and you have only to cross the green to catch your bus to other locations.
We loved our stay so much that it got us thinking about buying a place just like that.

This was my thirteenth trip to Grasmere, and I’ve never stayed in a lovelier and more convenient place. Warm, comfortable, and clean, Abigail’s View was much more than we expected or hoped for. I’m looking forward to many more stays at this beautiful, homey, and warm home away from home.

Lovely, clean, well equiped apartment in a perfect location. Plus having a car parking space in the middle of Grasmere was a bonus. Simone was really helpful and responded quickly to a query before we arrived. We will definitely be staying here again.

Nestled in the heart of quiet Grasmere, this property has everything one would need for a great base to explore the Lake District. Convenient to the shops, pubs, Wordsworth's grave and Dove Cottage, there is plenty to do in town. Only 20 minutes to Keswick and 10 minutes to Ambleside the number of hikes and areas to explore becomes enough to satisfy even the most ardent hiker. The property is clean, well kept and with en-suite bathrooms a wonderful place to start your day and come home to in the evening.

Just back from a long weekend & I have to say, what a great apartment in a fabulous location. Great having 2 bedrooms with en suites. Beds were so comfortable. Kitchen had everything you need for a weekend away. The dining table & seating in the kitchen space was good. Didn't miss not having a lounge area. As a family we usually end up sat round the table playing games. Simone, the owner, was really quick in responding to messages & was very professional. 1parking space which was a bonus. So close to bars, cafes & restaurants Would definitely recommend staying here.

It was all we hoped it would be, the flat was comfortable, clean, well appointed, quality furnishings and fittings. Parking was stress free.
But, as with so many properties that we have rented over the years, I find that the kitchen equipment that is provided is minimal-crockery, China, glasses, serving dishes etc. I tend to cook an evening meal when away on holiday, so it’s challenging for me to find enough dishes, saucepans etc to do so - maybe most of your clients eat out, so it’s not an issue for them?
Having said that, Abigail’s View was good value for money, comfortably appointed, well situated in the village, and given the weather it was a most enjoyable and relaxing week. Thank you, Simone.

In addition this apartment is well provisioned with everything one needs for a comfortable stay.

Hit rainy weather there so a house umbrella would have been nice. Apartment was central and comfortable. Stairs a bit hard for our older member but parking was great.

A nice apartment, very conveniently located in the centre of Grasmere. We were lucky that the occupants of the adjacent appartments kept reasonable hours as foot falls were audible and waste water from another flat ran through one of the bedrooms. Otherwise a good few days.

We had a wonderful stay in the Lakes District and we felt Grasmere was a good base. The village is just the right size with a lovely feel to it. Staying at this property enhanced our enjoyment. It was an easy walk to everything in the village and for the River Walk. Simone our host was very helpful with so many things. We were fortunate to stay in the master bedroom with the lovely large windows . We enjoyed the views over the park and the sun shining in. The whole place was very comfortable for us and our friends. It had a cosy but also ‘luxe’ feel, due to the decor and amenities. I shall enjoy my memories of our holiday here.

This was our second visit to this lovely apartment - we enjoyed it so much last time with our daughters that we brought a friend back here, and we certainly weren’t disappointed!
The apartment is beautifully decorated with quality furnishings, linen and towels. Lots of extra touches from handy everyday essentials to books and games, making it both practical and luxurious!
The apartment is ideally located in the centre of Grasmere but very quiet and peaceful, and the parking space is a real advantage. Communication with the friendly, helpful owner is excellent and access to the apartment very easy - thank you Simone for another super stay!

Right in the heart of super popular Grasmere with private parking and the Herdy shop next door but one and a friendly cafe below you might expect the property to be noisy but not at all. The big windows in the master bedroom and high ceilings let in loads of light and the kitchen/living space was perfect for family games and meals. Love the lakes and the property was perfect for our needs. As was the weather so that's a bonus!

This is a spotless, modern and perfectly situated apartment smack bang in the middle of Grandmere. We were literally a stone's throw from a café, pub, ice cream vendor and the Coop was just round the corner. The apartment is modern and had all we required for a 4 night stay with our 12 and15 yr olds. The kitchen has all the usual utensils and crockery. TV easy to use. Bedrooms very comfortable and 2 en suites were a luxury. Even though we had fantastic weather all week, we still made use of the board games found in the apartment. Although there is no outside space, this was not missed at all given the stunning countryside and lake a few minutes walk away. We will definitely return, particularly as the children have asked to come back !!

The kids and I absolutely loved our stay! It felt like a lovely home and in the heart of everything. I didn't even need my car as transport is right on the doorstep and so much to do in the little village. Perfect place for adults and kids. The rooms are lovely, so much space for us and really relaxing! I'm already in the process of re-booking with Simone. Thank you x

My friend and I came to Lake District to run the mountains and relax. I have never been to Grasmere before, and I was very happy with my choice of this location. The cottage is really well located close to pubs, restaurants, cafes and a shop. There is dedicated parking, but you can also get to the bus stop very quickly.
The cottage itself is very cosy, comfortable and charming. I would definitely recommend it for a stay!
