New place. Looked very nice. Didn’t have a ton of rooms which made it less busy. Could hear people talking at times. Bed was firm. Spacious bathroom. Great kitchen area in room. Not a lot of parking right out from (all handicapped)- had to park on side of building. Friendly staff. Had a few packaged food items could grab for breakfast. Would stay here again.

Great place that is a suite with full kitchen, dishes. Very clean. Best part they have a black washcloth for removing your make up. I felt bad using the white ones.

Clean. Spacious. Comfortable. Stayed two nights while dropping daughter off at Tech. Conveniently locate off the back roads to the college. Great restaurant next door. Will absolutely stay here again our next time up.

A newly built hotel. Clean, spacious and comfortable. No elevator so it was a pain to carry suitcases up to second floor. Gave only 2 stars because we had to checkout a day early and pay for third day in spite of trying to modify reservation on Hotels.com before the two day cancellation policy and tried calling hotel directly to modify reservation. The room rate increased drastically so changing to two nights instead of three would result in a higher cost so we just paid for our original three night reservation. Don’t understand why we couldn’t just eliminate one day without canceling whole reservation and rebooking at higher rate. Not sure if this was Hotels.com or Independence Stay’s cancellation policy but manager was no help even though this was a “pay at property” not a prepaid reservation.

The room was very comfortable, clean, and quiet. It was perfect for our sever night stay in the area. All our encounters with the staff were excellent. This is appears to be a relatively new property and was in exquisite shape. It was an excellent value for the area. It is located in the main retail area of the city witin a 5 to 10 minute drive (or closer) to most dining options. On the negative side, just be aware there is no elevator for this 2 story property and the grab and go breakfast options are very, very limited. I would recommend Roy's Pasteries on the riverfront downtown for some of the most delicious treats I've tasted. Overall, I would highly recommend this property. It was a great value and very restful stay in a beautiful area.

This hotel had a new feel to it. Everything was clean. Room was spacious with a refrigerator, microwave, hot plate type stove, etc. Bathroom was big with a lot of area to put your toiletries and curling wands, etc. Could not hear anyone else in nearby rooms with the exception of hotel doors closing. There is a washer and dryer down the hall. They do provide breakfast bars but breakfast is not included. I was ok with that as i was spending $150 less a night than my friends at the Hampton. The bed was super comfortable too. The only problem i had was preregistering for the room so i had to go through the registration desk when i arrived. Service is spotty in the U.P. I will stay there again when in the area.

The property has beautiful rooms!! No pool. The breakfast consisted of nutri grain bars and small donuts pre wrapped from Walmart!!!! Very disappointing!!!

The hotel was reasonably clean. The pastries offered for breakfast were of the Little Debbie variety. Think mini doughnuts and muffins. There was no daily housekeeping, which surprised me. If you needed towels or t.p. you had ask at the front desk.

We were there for 2 nights as a jump-off point to get the ferry to Isle Royale. They texted me a confirmation while we were still a day away. That was great because originally I had only reserved for one night but the hubby and I decided we needed 2 nights. I was able to ask thru text for the 2nd night. No problem. Very nice room with kitchenette and full-size fridge/freezer. Nice laundry facilities. No breakfast was a bummer but we found a great restaurant in town.

The property is new and clean. The front desk was very nice and accommodating. There also is a Walmart right across the parking lot. There is no elevator so be prepared if you are in the second floor.
