The room was fantastic. While the bedroom part was smaller than usual, having a small kitchen made more size than usual. I really appreciated having that kitchen. I also appreciated that the thermostat was easy to put up and down when needed.
There was no elevator and I was on the third floor, which suited me fine but is something to know.
The problem is that there's no front desk and check-in is done an odd way. They send codes to get in rather than having someone to handle it when you get there. They wanted my credit card number for a deposit in advance, but they didn't say it was for a deposit - they said it was for paying the bill, and I had already pre-paid the bill. I had to call hotels.com several times on the day of travel because I was on a train and therefore the calls kept dropping, but the staff at hotels.com clearly didn't know that the check-in procedure here was peculiar. They kept assuring me I could do things like take care of the deposit when I got there. Which I couldn't have, since no one was there. It all worked out, and I'll know for next time, but be forewarned.

Very comfortable and laid back. It was nice to find a place where we felt safe right in the city.

I loved it here will be back

Very poor communication. No reply to 2 voice mails left. Smoke detector went off all night long making it very difficult to sleep. Bed was noisy anytime you shifted in the bed and very uncomfortable. Smoke detectors laying on fridge and hanging from ceiling. Think they have a problem with system. Not safe.

We realized that we have become adjusted to a king size bed. We missed having bedside tables as well.

Nice place only thing I wish the housekeepers start mopping the floors

Great location. Clean and great management team.

The room was small but very nice and clean. We had everything we would need there. We were on the 3rd floor and there was no elevator. Since the parking garage was under contruction we were accomodated with another free of charge but it was quite a walk. I would not recommend this for older people especially in the heat.

It was an interesting old building.

The place was small, but that was ok for one person just using it as a convenient location to sleep. Parking was under construction, but street parking was free from 7p-7a, which worked with my schedule. As I was traveling for work, it would have been nice to have a place to hang shirts (there was no closet or even any hooks or bar to hang them on). The shower was short (I felt like Elf), but the curtain was long (wadded up in the bottom). Also, the shower didn’t drain well. I did not get the check in or check out instructions in a timely manner, but they were responsive by phone and text.

Great place to stay, especially close to Saint Louis University. Communication was excellent, check-in was easy. Great value.

Broken glass at main entrance on ground. Feont door had shards of glass exposing hazard to guests. Back stairs up to o u r unit was dirty. Front lawn needed mowing. Security camera was remived/missing from first floor. Some towels in unit were like rags. No communication prior to checkin on requirementa to get door codes.
Have stayed here before with better experience.

Tub has old adhesive all over its floor. Ew, why was this tub not replaced? The shower rod isn't screwed into the wall. I know this because the shower curtain drags in the bottom of the tub because the tension rod is so low. The blinds have no way to lower them after they are raised. Thus people from the street could see in my room all night.

The rental was exactly what we were looking for, clean, comfortable, great location and reasonably priced.

building was beautiful and historic but a bit run down. Room was the same. There was no trash can in the bathroom and no trash bags. Someone else’s trash was still there. There was a footprint on the rug and coffee rings on the desk. The door was unlocked when we arrived, so we had trouble and thought the code was wrong. We contacted the host and she did not believe us. She communicated via text even though I called her. There was a list of cleaning requirements that they could have easily handled.

Great location with good proximity to downtown, SLU, Blues, and zoo. Small space but nice. We enjoyed to outside shared seating area.
Negatives: there is no parking on site unless you pay to use the host’s garage but chances are it will be full. We ended up parking at a garage on SLUs campus and walking. There is also a sign in the bathroom strongly reminding you not to flush any feminine products or diapers but they don’t provide a bathroom trash can.
Would stay there again for the location

Efficiency apartment in Mid-town St. Louis. Very clean and with a small kitchen. Interesting old building walkable to SLU.

A nice house!

Host wouldn’t replace the broken coffee maker. I checked in ahead of time and confirmed everything. Then they sent a email, while I was flying, a few hours before I arrived, saying their check in policy changed so I couldn’t get the code to enter the room. Imagine getting off your flight and finding out you can’t get into your hotel. Eventually I got it sorted out with them.
Kitchen needs work. I cook my own meals so I was disappointed with things not working, lack of supplies, not even a clean sponge to wash dishes.
As far as sleeping, the place was clean and quiet and the pictures of the place were accurate. Overall it was ok for the price. Really should have replaced that coffee maker though.

Second time I’ve stayed and it was even better than the first! Had some bottles of wine and glasses out set out when I arrived! It’s the little things that matter!

This was the perfect stay for our visit to St Louis. The location was perfect. The area was clean and safe. We liked that there was security in place to enter the building. It would be good if the listing indicated that there are stairs to the apartment. It was fine for us but it would be an unwelcome surprise for someone with mobility issues. The apartment was well stocked and well designed. The only thing we missed was a toaster. Also, It was a good thing that we knew to bring our own coffee pods as there were none available.
We would book again if we should have the pleasure to visit St Louis again.

I rented this for a friend and her mom to be close to her dad while he is in Barnes Hospital. It was very nice and clean and they enjoyed that it was close and convenient to the hospital. They also enjoyed that they were able to save on eating out and being able to have a home atmosphere. I will differently recommend this to anyone going to St Louis..
Thank you

Very please with the apartment. All the amenties that you will need. We really loved being able to cook our own meals! Great location in the heart of StL. Literally across the street from SLU. Was even semi quiet on a Blues Hockey night. Would definitely stay again.
Only thing, really need a non slip mat in that awesome shower. Just a bit of soap, and it gets tricky lol.

This place was amazing! Beautiful location and area. I enjoyed being so close to everything. It was very easy to walk anywhere from here. The staff member I was messaging was amazing, they helped me so much and got me into my room like 4 hours early!! When I come back to St. Louis I will be staying here again and hopefully getting the same room I had this time. Great place to stay.

For the most part we were pleasantly surprised with our stay. The apartment was fantastically clean and well supplied. There were only a few things i would make note of. We stayed in apartment K. The shower curtain was waaaaay too big for the tub so a significant part of it waa on the floor of the shower and made it slippery and a bit of a safety issue. Second, the drain drains very slowly which means you have to stand in ankle deep soapy water while you shower. Combined with a plasticy shower curtain is a slipping hazard. There was a family of squirrells that were in the walls and made quite a bit of noise throughout the night. Last but not least the price is a bit deceptive. The nightly rate was good but then tax a property fee and another fee of some sort makes the 1 night total more than a hundred dollars more.

Good location. Perfect for the price the only downside is the parking.

The apartments worked out great for us! Price and location. Close to events going on and short drive to lots of restaurants on The Hill. Parking on the street was cheap, free after 8 and Sunday and was very safe. Highly recommend. Great vintage building. Cute efficiency apartment with everything you need.

The property has good amenities, well equipped and tastefully decorated. It is cozy and comfortable. The spaces have limited natural light. Make sure to reserve a parking garage space at booking. We enjoyed our stay.

We were going to visit our Granddaughter at Saint Louis University so this location was perfect. The apartment was clean and almost perfect except for the parking. We try to request parking, which was advertisement for a fee. We call and texted several times, but was told on the day of travel, we would have to find street parking. My husband just had knee replacement, we are in our mid 70's, and it was Homecoming/Parent's Weekend. We could not leave our paid street parking after 5PM, if we were going to park anywhere close. The coffee maker required a K-cup, which I only brought filters and ground coffee. There was only one coffee K-cup in our room and none in the lobby.

Beautiful old building with lots of character. Well supplied.

The house is right across the campus from SLU and that was the perfect location for me. I appreciated the beauty of the 120-year-old home with hardwood floors and window frames and a beautiful staircase. The room was well appointed with a full kitchen and very clean. I would stay here again for sure. However whoever was communicating with me about the property through text could use some customer relations skills for sure.

I loved staying here. Very clean and great location. Also peaceful and quiet.

good enough for the price

Cozy, warm, clean, and safe, but the dishwasher kept beeping since the day I checked in. My room is next to the street so it is little bit noisy outside. However I think I will choose them next time.
