The house is clean and located in a quiet neighborhood of similar, nicely maintained houses. Conveniently located to plenty of shopping and dining options, and to the highway connecting Raleigh to Morehead City.

We toured Historical New Bern.
Only had one problem. When we arrived and it was taken care of immediately. 5 stars all around for us. Out dogs enjoyed the back yard.

Had everything we needed and was very clean!

Wish the place was equipped with trashbags, paper towels and other minor amenities that other vrbo's we've stayed at in the past have but over all, it was a good time.
Spacious. Intimate. Convenient and quiet. We had a great family time.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The house was an easy drive to downtown New Bern. The house itself was very clean and homie.

1st impression was how clean it was. The residence is well maintained. Location was quiet, family neighbor hood. Very convenient to downtown & beaches in the area.

The house was comfortable. However, we did not have tvs in the bedrooms, except for the one that was in the closet on the floor. The main one in the living room allowed some information/programming that all of our family could watch together. No wastebaskets in the rooms; some spider webs were visible, the kitchen well-stocked except for a Keurig coffee maker. We didn't remember to take our own.All in all, we enjoyed our stay and it was well within the range of miles it took to get to events, food, supplies, etc. that we used.
Thanks so much for the opportunity to enjoy New Bern, NC.

Cozy comfortable, PERFECTLY clean, luxurious bedding, host who responds immediately, to-die-for kitchen, very peaceful neighborhood and a great little yard with a beautiful bit of woods behind filled with songbirds: what's not to love? We are grateful to have been able to visit and already looking forward to returning in the fall.

House was great and everything inside was very clean. Was a little disappointed we couldn't get the grill figured out and the grass hadn't been cut but that's all minor stuff, would definitely stay there again.

If you want to experience how most of working middle-class America lives, this is the place for you. It's in a very quiet residential neighborhood. Very convenient to all support stores, groceries, dry cleaning, restaurants, etc.
It is not resort living. There's no pool. No beach. No tennis courts. But it is very clean and very comfortable.

We enjoyed our long weekend in New Bern and our stay here. Everything was clean and well maintained. Very cozy. It was a special treat for our dog to have a fenced yard to play in as well! Thanks so much!

The property was as advertised and very comfortable/cozy. The location was very private in a good neighborhood. We loved the fenced in yard, bedrooms , and the very well supplied utensils in the kitchen. Unfortunately the weather did not cooperate in New Bern, so we left early.
The host was very approachable and answered all of our questions

We travel a lot so what matters is that it was a nice clean and maintained place to stay. All the pans and dishes were nice. Sits in a quiet neighborhood of well kept homes with easy access to the commercial strip. No weird smells like so many places. You can book with confidence.

Had stayed here previously and stayed again waiting for our moving truck to arrive at our new home. Great place!

Wanted for nothing. Quiet neighborhood, comfortable beds and fully stocked.

The house is located in a quiet neighborhood about 5 miles from downtown New Bern. Although clean it could use some updating, the couch and living room chair was not comfortable at all. The king size bed was very firm and the queen size was soft and comfortable but the bed did squeak. The kitchen was well stocked and there were plenty of clean towels. There is also a full size washer and dryer which worked great. Overall a really good place to stay and the host was very accommodating.

Remember riding your bike in your neighborhood? Maybe dating myself a bit, psrents walking with their kids and strollers rolling along, kids riding bikes, this neighborhood brought back many memories. Matthew amazing host, and the house is perfect. Thank you Matthew and your daughter in law for an amazing stay.

We couldn't have asked for a better experience! Check-in instructions were clear, home was very clean, and our check-in notebook came with great suggestions on where to visit and eat in the area.

Really enjoyed having the space to relax and spread out during our family's Vacation to New Bern. This Home will make you feel right at Home as soon as you walk through the doors. Our favorite feature was the nice full size grill to cook all our Summer Dinners. 5 out of 5 Stars all the way!

We really enjoyed staying here. The house was very clean. The king bed was very comfy. The little snacks and flowers were very nice. The kitchen had all that we needed. We couldn’t enjoy the patio as the weather didn’t cooperate so well but we were out there some. The location was good. Close to town and my sons across the bridge. We had my 7 and 9 year old grandsons one night so the twin beds worked nice. My 96 year old mother slept in the comfy chair in the living room both nights. We would stay here again.

Clean, comfortable, relaxing, close to stores, and located in a quiet neighborhood. Very well kept home, beds were extremely comfortable, we enjoyed our stay and highly recommend this as a place to stay. The owner had a helpful guide book made up with nearby restaurants, maps, and things to do which was all very helpful.

We enjoyed the house and our dogs enjoyed the fenced in backyard. Dogs got several walks at waterfront and in the evenings elementary school across from the main road. Pretty much had everything we needed for a good short get away less than an hour away from Greenville Nc. Great places to eat and grocery stores nearby as well.

This property provided everything needed for a lovely home-like setting. Easy access to the home through front door or garage with remote. The kitchen is robustly stocked with any item you could possibly need. The shower had great water pressure. The bed cozy and so comfy.
The owners have it all covered!
The only thing to note is no cable TV. However, you can sync your phone to the screen and also your streaming apps via the large Samsung television.
Many restaurants and grocery stores are near by and you’re a short drive from downtown.
We had a great stay and look forward to return visits when visiting family in New Bern.

Very clean and comfortable. Owner very thoughtfully had fresh flowers and snacks on the island for our arrival--such a nice touch! The house is even nicer than the posted photos.

We rented this property to accommodate myself, my wife and 3 family members--all of us were out-of-town visitors--who had come to New Bern for my son's wedding. Matthew was extremely friendly and accommodating. We had other family members who stayed in hotels and the vast majority of VRBO property owners/agents were not willing to allow us to have them visit us at their property or come for a meal. Matthew had no hesitation whatsoever in saying that his property was there for exactly that purpose: to have families spend time together.
The home is pretty amazing and is in a good neighborhood. We felt safe and close to everything. The front and back lawns were freshly cut when we arrived. The floorplan is nice with good-sized rooms in the 1400 sq ft house. It was unusual (and nice!) to see that we had access to and use of the garage with an automatic door opener. The back yard is large and pleasant with a very nice propane grill on the expansive concrete patio.
All guests agreed that the beds were very comfortable. Linens were high quality and there were plenty of extra sheets and towels. Furniture was comfortable and in very good shape. A *large* variety of snack packs were provided for our arrival (a nice and unique touch!). I realize that not everybody will be on board with this, but we thought it was neat that in addition to the assortment of spices and condiments usually found in a short-term rental, either Matthew or past renters had left several sealed boxes of various frozen microwaveable foods in the freezer. We thought that was kind of cool and, wanting to do our part to contribute to the sense of "community" it created, added a couple of boxes purchased at the Publix right down the street.
Some things to be aware of:
*Unfortunately, there is a neighbor across the street who has a modified exhaust system (read "louder than normal") on their car and who came and went at all hours of the day and night.
*Hot water takes a few minutes to reach sinks and tubs in the house. But it is provided by a natural gas-fueled water heater, so it is hot and plentiful!
*A traditional drip coffeemaker with a cone filter is provided, not a Keurig. Still, it made excellent-tasting coffee.
*There is no automatic icemaker in the freezer. I recommend picking up a bag of ice from the nearby Publix or Harris Teeter (their largest store in the world!) not far from the house. Probably on your route to the house when you arrive in New Bern.

This home is just that- it feels like home. Nice neighborhood, very quiet! House felt safe and secure with dead bolts on all doors. Three big bedrooms with nice furniture. Two full baths. Master bath has big soaking tub! Kitchen was lovely and complete with towels, pots and pans, dishes, silverware and even a miscellaneous drawer with items you may need like a flashlight and sewing kit! Big dining room table to eat as a family. There were even spices and cooking oil! Complete linens including towels, sheets and pillows. Big garage and 2-4 car driveway. Just bring your clothes and some food! You are set. Matthew was great to work with. Quick to reply to questions! I recommend this rental and am already planning to return!!! Thank you Matthew!

The home was in a good neighborhood, which had been a concern when my son mentioned I should try VRBO instead of a hotel. Staying in this home ruined me for hotels! It was homey, well cared for and supplied. The owners were very helpful and friendly. I highly recommend this home and the the owner :)
