We hired all five cottages between my extended family who used this place as a family reunion. It was perefect. Well priced. The owner is a very pleasant lady who made herself available for questions throughout. The care takers who are a couple living on site were also great. They cooked for us at a very reasonable fee and the food was great. The apartments are a little dated but they have character and were in general functional. Very reasaonbelly priced.

We had the best time at the villas. It was a large family reunion, 30 people from 75 years old to 2 years old. Muberra could not have been more welcoming and helpful and kind. Her team of Murat and Fatema did everything they could to make the stay as enjoyable and worry free as possible. If you stay then you must try Murat's BBQ and breakfast buffet. The villas were all very comfortable, everything needed was provided, the swimming pools were great. We enjoyed the gardens and picking fresh fruit of the many fruit trees in the property. Absolutely the best hostess and villa we have stayed in and we would all love to go back in the future.

Fantastic
Absolutely fantastic property and pictures don’t do it justice. Great location with easy access to all amenities. Whole family had a great time and we’re able to relax in great facilities. Would highly recommend for a large group to grab this property when available. Muberra and her husband were very helpful and nothing was too much for them. Arrives at 2am but still checked us in efficiently.

Amazing stay for a family celebration holiday
Kleo cottages are perfect ! Muberra provided all 25 of us with the best family celebration that we could possibly have had. Grandparents, parents and 13 grandchildren (ages 20 down to 13) all adored the whole set up from the delightful cottages, comfy and with every possible facility, to the nearby restaurant/trout farm and the frequent visits (cheap taxis) down to the coast for boats and swimming. Kalkan was a great temptation with it's boutique shops and lively restaurants.
However everything really centres around the cottages, together with the gardens that are pure magic with every sort of fruit waiting to be picked off the trees. The gardener, Muberra's husband, must have the greenest of fingers ! The large pool was much used and took us all with ease, it is central to all the cottages with lots of shade, sun beds and greenery.
Muberra was the star who made it all happen ! arranging taxis and hire cars, moving tables so we could all eat near the pool, nothing was too much trouble - I only wish we could have stayed longer, but hopefully there is always another time ! I'm sure we would have an equally great time if we took just one or two of the cottages, but as a family it was a truly memorable holiday and one that will be remembered for many years to come.

We Love Kleo Cottage
Kleo Cottage was exactly what I hoped for--a spacious, comfortable, beautiful, clean quiet home for our family to relax in and a very nice pool. It had everything we needed and Muberra(the owner) was able to provide us with a few extras--like beach umbrellas and beach towels. She even leaves food in the refrigerator which was really nice to arrive and be able to make a meal for ourselves. The grounds are beyond lovely--green, lush and fruit trees all around. We were welcomed to eat fruit which in September were apples and figs. The cottage itself is great, the setting peaceful and beautiful, the service impeccable. And a short drive away are beaches and waterfalls to explore. I hope to be able to return.I have stayed in many vacation rentals and this is among the best ever. Thanks Muberra for providing such a wonderful vacation accommodation, for answering all our questions and helping with all our requests.

Kleo Cottages
Just returned from the peaceful, charming surroundings of Kleo Cottages. What a delight! Spacious accommodation, friendly maid service, the sights and sounds of the countryside and a great pool too!
A really beautiful setting with a truly traditional feel. Muberra and her husband made us most welcome and were excellent hosts. We picked fresh fruit from the trees, our daughter loved the dogs, cats and hens that frequented the gardens and we had one of the best holidays ever!
Thouroughly recommend it!

Beautiful and peaceful
I cannot recommend Kleo cottages too highly. The houses are well designed, comfortable, clean and well equipped. The gardens are beautiful and full of delicious fruit that Muberra urges you to pick as much as you like. There was peach tree heavy with ripe fruit right outside our villa.
The price for such comfortable accommodation was very reasonable.
Muberra is so friendly and helpful and their restaurant next door serves delicious food.
The setting is peaceful, the scenery dramatic and our holiday was restful.
We hope to go again soon

Kleo Cottages - the best holiday we've had
We've holidayed in Turkey four times, all in self-catering villa-style accommodation with shared pools, and enjoyed each stay tremendously. Kleo Cottages is our favourite of the four. The grounds are beautiful with fruit trees at every turn. If you make it there be sure to sample a peach or two, they are the best I've ever tasted.
The villa was extremely comfortable and well equipped - a home from home. All the rooms are spacious and air conditioned, including the main living area - a godsend in the heat of August. The property was clean and well maintained. All the appliances were good quality and in working order and there were plenty of glasses and crockery. The dishwasher is a must. Best to take some dishwasher tablets with you if you're not going to make it into Kalkan within the first day. We made good use of the TV and DVD player. There aren't many English channels available but we watched a few films that we'd brought with us.
Our kids are good at keeping themselves entertained and would have happily spent most days in the pool but I'd recommend taking a few games etc to help out in the evenings.
Muberra is lovely - helpful and approachable when you need her but happy to sit back and let you enjoy your holiday without being disturbed. Mubearra sorted out car hire for us cheaper than we could have oursleves and the airport transfers she arranged went without a hitch. Easy peasy.
Kalkan has plenty of good restaurants to chose from. We're all vegetarian and had no problems finding a variety of tasty and good value eateries. For a more up-market evening out head down to the harbour.
If you enjoy quiet, laid back holidays in green settings then this is the place for you. If you prefer night clubs and bars then head to Marmaris. Kleo Cottages = serene, chilled, beautiful.... bliss :-)

Heaven in the mountains
We had a super family holiday at Kleo cottages. The property was spotlessly clean and kept that way(despite our best efforts) for the fortnight we were there.Muberra and her staff were very friendly and the pool was maintained to a very high standard. There was usually some point of the day when we got the pool to ourselves. On occasions a few more sun loungers might have been good or even a shady table and chairs by the pool. However there are lots of other shady spots in the garden and the house was also always a cool haven. There are a few restaraunts within walking distance - all very good and ver reasonable - much cheaper and better quality than the ones in Kalkan. We had a good evening at the Turkish night at a local restaurant and they are always happy to do a deal. Having a car is essential to get to beaches and to explore - visiting ruins in the evening is good . The family really enjoyed trip to Sallikent gorge - seems really touristy at first but persevere and make your way as far as you can up the gorge quite demanding but lots of scrambling up and over rocks with the help of local guides who 'adopt' you along the way .
I would certainly recommend this property for a quiet family holiday.

I just love this place for the quiet, the beauty and the individuality of the houses. The gardens are lovely and lovingly maintained, the pool is bigger than you'd expect and the service is second to none.
Muberra the owner is married to a stubborn man and between them they have maintained traditional Turkish hospitality which puts service before money.
Kalkan is a lovely place, but all the properties are all the same and not that well built or furnished. Kleo is a solid stone construction and the furniture is traditional not Ikea's latest.
It is comfortable but in no way flashy. Everything works from the dishwasher to the wi fi, to the hot water, but it has a traditional feel to it.
I cook and found the kitchen a little ill equipped, but a word to the owner Muberra brought me everything I needed and we had some splendid meals on our terrace as well as Muberra's restaurant.
Islamlar is quiet and uncrowded, there are shops and restaurants near bye, and a great little Sunday Market at Akabel where the produce is fresher and cheaper than in town. The people are simple and love to try out their English so be patient and speak slowly.
Muberra and her husband are the essence of discretion, always there when you need them, but never pushy or interfering and they have good contacts for things like car hire, Turkish baths and beauty treatment.
The girls who do the cleaning are a joy and daily cleaning is a luxury.
For a traditional peaceful holiday away from the hustle and bustle, but still close enough to enjoy it when you want to you can't beat Kleo.
The beach is a short drive, and Patara and Kabatash are worth the effort. Kalkan bay is crowded and the fresh water streams can make it cold.
Kalkan restaurants, for traditional food Cati turn left at Tesko can't be beaten and the B B Q restaurant opposite Tesko isn't bad.
For great food, Turkish/ International, from a smoothie to a posh dinner try the Aubergine in the port, expensive, but still much cheaper than England and worth it.
We had Chicken Kebabs in Akabel for next to nothing, and a lovely meal at Lamb Chops in Islamlar, follow the signs; for Tandir cooked Lamb which was delicious.
Kleo has non of the bustle or commercialism of Kalkan, which is a ten minute drive away should you want or need it. ATM's and shops and the Tailor Ramazan who is Savile Row Quality and remarkably cheap for mens and womens cloths and Linen Suits. Take something for him to copy!
Prices are hard to beleive.
