This place a little gem nestled in beautiful forest landscape. The rooms were comfortable and cozy. The hotel had many cozy and confortable seating areas inside and outside. A good basic breakfast and great bar.
The town is walking distance and has many little well curated shops and great. restaurants. Would love to be back.
The staff, specially Leon was amazing

The staff at the Darby were very friendly and helpful. The common areas are very nice and it's great to have a bar to unwind during the evening. However, the reason I am rating this as poor are the rooms. The building has the looks of a renovated retirement home. Consequently, the rooms are very small (perhaps 12ft x 12 ft), air conditioning is provided by a basic and very noisy window air conditioner unit, the room smelled damp throughout the stay, the shower is part of a converted closet, and the walls to the corridor are paper thin (and the bed is placed against the hallway wall), allowing a lot of noise to enter the room. This all contributed to a terrible night's rest. I would definitely not stay here again.

We liked the friendliness of the staff. The hotel is located within walking distance to downtown Narrowsburg. It was also a convenient location to the concert venue we attended. Other than no TV in our room our stay was pleasant. We meet other couples at the hotel that attended the same concert.

The Darby is well located within close walking distance to the Delaware River and downtown Narrowsburg. You can tell that the property is well thought-out. Very eclectic and a cool vibe, however, it used to be a nursing home and that is exactly how the room, bathroom, and common areas feel. So, I would say it depends on what you're looking for. If you're looking for a lush, comfortable hotel this wouldn't be it, however, if you're looking for a cool, clean motel vibe this is exactly it. We had challenges making and changing the reservation and there was no one at the desk when we needed to check out because there is essentially only one staff member in charge of everything and understandably they have to be in a lot of places at once. The light breakfast was available but we did not take advantage of it because it wasn't super fresh, however, it's a nice touch. The little bar they have is adorable!

Very comfortable clean place that's obviously been upgraded to a cool retro vibe. Cozy bar, pool table area, stand of umbrellas ready to lend on rainy days, unusual framed artwork as well as fun gift items for sale. I'd definitely stay again.

Such a great property. Excellent location and ability to walk over the bridge in a few minutes to Narrowsburg bars and restaurants a huge plus!

We had a great couple of nights at hotel Darby. The staff were all super friendly and we met the new owner who was great and has a great vision for the property. Our room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. Enjoyed the indoor fireplace at nights. Hope to return, perhaps with a group to better enjoy all the facilities at the property. Thank you hotel Darby.

Small room and bathroom with no counters, shelves or dresser. Needs updating. Staff was friendly.

This place is superb! We arrived to home baked chocolate chip cookies upon arrival, which were delicious! The grounds were super cute. We napped in the hammocks, made s’mores in the fire pit, and slept soundly in the cozy rooms. It’s also a couple blocks from a cute strip of town with nice shops and bites. We’d love to return!

FANTASTIC ALL THE WAY AROUND. Bed was comfortable. Room was spotless. Continental breakfast was tasty. The two people who were in charge ran the entire place with no problem, and kept a,sm8le on their face the entire time. I threw darts, enjoyed bonfires because the wood and firestarters are included in the price of the room. Its perfect for little get away. I absolutely will be staying there again in the future

Had a late arrival, They made sure to let me know the door code to get in. My key was waiting for me at check-in, along with a little note to tell me what amenities were available. The hotel is quaint, rooms are small but efficient. Very effective window unit air conditioner, and you can make the room dark for sleep.
Shower was odd, as it was tiny and not attached to the bathroom, light switch for the shower was in the closet. However it did come fully stocked with body wash, shampoo, and conditioner.
The bed was comfortable, with soft pillows.
Toilet water pressure was a bit soft, so you may have to flush a few times to clear the bowl.
There were many social spaces available, and the staff were friendly. Easy trail access, outdoor fire pits, and a morning breakfast nook.
Overall, your room is good for what it is: a place to sleep and clean up, but this hotel seems designed to keep you in the social spaces and out exploring as much as possible. I enjoyed my stay.

They property is very cute. The pictures represent the hotel accurately. However, there is only a staff member on site from about 7:30 am until 8:00 pm. There are only 2 people on staff, so even if they wanted to provide services they don’t have enough people to do so. They have a bar room, but it’s not an actual bar as one might expect when a hotel says they have a bar. No drinks are served at the bar, it’s just a room. They also have a game room with a pool table and darts, but you have to pay for each pool game. When you’re spending $200 per night on a hotel that has very few services I would have expected the pool to be included. This was the last stop on a road trip for us and we decided to leave one night early because we weren’t exactly comfortable with no one being there at night and no one answering the emergency phone number they provided (or even returning our call). We (the staff member and someone in our party) tried to get in touch with the manager all morning but couldn't, to find out if we left early would they refund us for that night. Or would we have to pay for 2 nights when we only stayed 1. Eventually we left and he called us back. Luckily he said he’d refund us for the night we weren’t staying. Still need to see if that refund happens…

Really loved Hotel Darby. Such a beautiful place and location. So close the scenic spots on the river. The incredible fire pit was gorgeous too. I think we were just there kind of too late in the season because there were no pastries, smores, tavern or folks to grab us a beer or wine or quarters to play pool after 6. Tried to text as suggested. But-ended up walking to town which was so close and lovely- so really no problem. They treated our dog to treats, a bed, bowls, ball! So sweet. Great place with a dog. We were in heaven there with those gorgeous grounds and loved the interior design.

There was dried blood on the sheets and dirty windows and dusty room. When I addressed this to the receptionist, they stated “not sure the room hasn’t been cleaned in over one week.” Very frustrating experience so be weary. We left and stayed at another hotel as we didn’t want to trust their cleaning abilities.

Very chill and beautiful property. Quiet and nice outdoor space to relax in. We really liked the room and the staff was very welcoming and friendly. Only downside was that the view of our room was facing in towards other rooms so we could not really have our curtains open or else people would be able to look at us

We had a lovely time at Hotel Darby. Ahead of coming the communication was great and they answered all our questions. When I arrived there was a special gift for my birthday awaiting us in the room :) The hotel is set up with many beautifully decorated seating areas and places to hang out, both inside and out. We enjoyed our stay very much!

The hotel decor is very cute. I would say the only drawback is not much lighting outside for an area that’s pretty dark. There’s no service out there but wifi worked great. My daughter and I would definitely go back if we are in the area again.

Loved the retro vibe and the feeling of being a special guest in a unique property. They provided fun extras such as the fire pit and smores, corn hole, and sparklers for July 4!

AC struggled to prevent the room from remaining humid and the musty smell was unbearable. Also there was no hot water.
