Rooms urgently need a fridge to be installed.

Size of bedroom and bathroom was amazing
Comfort of bed - excellent night sleep.
Clean and excellent tea/coffee tray - could do with hot chocolate.
Few maintenance issues to look at eg: loose curtain tieback.
Finishing of decoration could have been tider

Lovely building and the bed was really comfortable. We slept so well.
The bathroom door didn’t close.
4.0 / 10.0
Convenience. Price acceptable.
I didn't have breakfast - there was no chef. Likewise, there was no meal option in the evening. There was mould growing around the window frames. The first night was cold and the heating did not work.

Lovely Georgian buildings
Quaint area
Cheap accommodation
The room layout was a little odd - the shower and toilet were inside a pod
It's a shame no breakfast was available
Could hear music from bar til late
Mismatched cups, one mug and one tiny cup, we fought over the mug

Nothing
There was nowhere to sit.
The shower horrible with zero pressure.
The pub sign creaked and banged outside our window all night.

Good location, with historical interest. Friendly staff.
Very cold room, only has 1 small storage heater by the door to heat the whole room and 1 window didn't shut properly, it was -5 outside. The curtains didn't close properly and on entering the room there was a really bad smell. Only one of the bedside lamps was plugged in and I didn't want to plug the other one in as the plug fitting was hanging off the wall.

amazing location
spacious room
historic and iconic
well decorated
friendly staff
easy check in
since is an old building needed some small refurbishment;
the window didn't lock at all;
could be a bit cleaner
shower was leaking and hard to regulate the temperature and no pressure

It’s an old building and cute and staff very welcoming and friendly.
Cross contamination of gluten free food.
For the room I feel the light bulbs should be replaced and lamp shades of damaged, mold on the shower frame should be dealt with.

The room is a good size and the bed was comfy. The bedding and towels were all clean. The room was clean but the walls been repainting and the carpets need a clean too, room smelt a little. The biggest disappointment was the shower. Had no head and was just a pipe spitting out water. The worse shower Iv ever had. Thankfully the water was hot. The grounds are nice and the pub itself is nice, cosy and quirky. The staff are very nice and friendly. Nice rear garden and good parking. I’d stay again only if they cleaned or painted the walls in room and bathroom, cleaned the carpets to remove stains and smell and sorted the shower out.

I dont know, I couldn't go.
I didn't like having to pay £55 for a room I couldn't use because I slipped a disk in my spine and couldn't drive. I alerted the hotel 5 days before my stay and was told I would have to pay anyway.

Very friendly customers in the bar.
Food was dreadful and not as described.

Clean bedding and towels
Room 11 lots of road noise during night. No double glazing. Shower and bathroom dated and needed updating. Family booked 3 rooms. One room shower fine, room 11 shower poor water pressure. Sons room shower didn't work at all.
6.0 / 10.0
Nice character and location. Friendly staff and good breakfast.
Shower did not work in the room, lights not working in the dining room. The hotel needs some maintenance on what is a lovely building and could be a lovely hotel if it’s maintained.

A lovely location. The room nice and comfortable. the bar was had a reasonable selection of beers and had a nice atmosphere. The pub overall was nice. Unable to rate the food as I was unable to sample it.
After waiting in the restaurant area for around 45mins for breakfast without a single member of staff on duty, at 8:45 I had to leave for an appointment and buy something for breakfast from a nearby petrol station. There was no one to check me out so just left the key and left. No wonder they make you pay on arrival. When sending an email to inform them of the lack of breakfast I was accused of being a liar. Poor way to run a business. It's a shame as a small business owner myself, I understand that sometime these things happen and simple apology would have been acceptable. Instead I got hit with abuse.

Character and location great.
Booked room only but confirmed on check-in colleague and I would like breakfast. We turned up for breakfast (0845) waited 20 mins but there were no staff in bar, dinning room or kitchen, so we had no breakfast and just left keys on the side. The evening before, the bar was closed at 1030, cashed up, and although the staff were there, they were not serving. Does the place actually want to make a profit.

Location spot on atmosphere 👌 most staff friendly room clean and comfy
Manager was unhelpful and non accommodating for specific requests.
1.0 / 10.0
Friendly bar staff
The room was a disgrace, filthy, stains from leaking water, dust, no coffee pods, tv remote under the bed generally rank; which begs the question - how well cleaned are the rooms?
1.0 / 10.0
TV not working. Bad staff attitude when we asked about it. Coffee machine was disgusting dirty, staff said come down stairs for a free coffee. Bin half full. Bath needed good clean. No breakfast until 9:30 not 8am like it stated and was £5 more than internet/booking confirmation said it would be. Carpet stains and chewed bedside cabinets.
Dirty coffee machine and room. Staff didn't really care. Not worth £100 per night at all
5.0 / 10.0
The room was fine, a bit outdated but clean and comfortable.
The problem we had was no beer on tap and no food being served
Being able to eat and drink at the Inn. There wasn't anywhere else in walking distance
2.0 / 10.0
Style of property in a village location
The service was terrible and the kitchen was closed all night. Loud music in the garden, bar ran out of beer and bar staff did not have a clue how to serve a drink and were very slow. TV not working in the room. The shower is mouldy. Ironing board but no iron. We couldn’t wait to leave and decided against breakfast as concerned it would not be worth taking the risk.

Staff were friendly...( Except one guy who couldn't care a less)
Everything else...I would say avoid....and if you can't pick room.8 0r 10...only..
We arrived...Manager very nice but hotel is run by bunch of 12 year olds...All very nice just very young and party type of venue..
Rooms are above the bar and bar is open til 2am...no one tells you that..
Place is clean enough but very rough and ready.
Tatty in parts..
Our shower was broken...which they must havw known off but it was l left as we had a bath....I have very long hair...I need a shower!.
So the manager apologised and offeres free drink and breakfast.
We a got up early ( after poor sleep) ...went down only to be told " kitchen closed"...
GREAT THANKS GUYS!
restaurant was closed night before too...for a bbq in garden...
None of this is told to guests...
Check in was good...Junior was helpful..
no advise on breakfast times..check out..
all in all a terrible stay..
but my vibe is no one will care at jot...there is nothing else in the area...
my advise pick the premier inn 5 mins down the road by car.
I picked this place thinking we had been before...my error!

The George and Dragon is in the picture perfect village of West Wycombe, the area oozes history and the quirky buildings are lovely. The hotel does have a car park but this is not signposted and could be tricky to find. On first impression the very peasant outdoor area and buildings appearance was very promising. Surprisingly the free Wi-Fi worked well.
The hotel is not well maintained and the website pictures share very little with the reality. General maintenance issues are verging on dangerous, missing spotlights in a shower and bare wires easily accessible, lights hanging from ceilings, sockets detached from walls. General levels of cleanliness are not good, dusty grubby carpets, grubby paintwork, blown plaster and peeling wallpaper. Water pressure is very poor and when we visited there was an issue with the TV’s. The staff didn’t appear to have hospitality experience.

Impressive old building with friendly staff in quaint village. Nice bar and restaurant.
Several very interesting sites nearby. Don't miss the Hellfire Caves and Dashwood memorial.
Our room (no. 1) was above the kitchen and suffered somewhat from noise and cooking smells. Staff seemed a little lost at times. Breakfast would have been nicer with proper bread (rather than white sliced)

Lovely big room although we were upgraded because the door handle on the room we were booked into was broken but moved quickly with no fuss. Didn’t eat here as they don’t serve dinner on Mondays or Tuesdays. Breakfast not included so didn’t have breakfast here either.
Included breakfast option with a 7am start time would have been nice. 8am is a bit late if you are using the hotel for business.

Full of great English charm lovely and welcoming with an art exhibition of local contemporary artists
Great stairs on the way to the rooms.
Room very attractive as was the bathroom with an actual bath.
We should have checked about dinning since we stayed a Sunday night and service was finished at 3pm but hey ho it didn't spoil the break.
Having our breakfast tea in the garden was lovely.

Location was good.
Bathroom smelt of damp.
Bathroom door doesn't close.
Dirty/stained carpet and rug.
Double socket taped over with yellow and black tape.
Light fitting hanging off, it had sticky tape on it. Wallpaper coming off the wall, dirty walls.
Stopped doing food early, even though when they were contacted, they stated 9pm. Not ideal when you have been working all day and hungry. I come down for business a lot but I will never use this hotel again. It used to be a good hotel.
