About this villa rental
Lucca and the surrounding hills form a postcard-perfect panorama at Villa Noa. This stunning old farmhouse was built on a hill overlooking the city to take full advantage of the views, and was recently renovated to offer modern style and luxury. Invite up to sixteen friends or family members for a serene country retreat, or use the estate for a honey-moon- style getaway to one of the most scenic destinations in Tuscany.
Drink in the views from outdoor living spaces with sitting and dining areas. Inside, romantic master bedrooms with marble-splashed bathrooms, a spacious fully equipped kitchen, air conditioning and Wi-Fi round out the list of hotel-worthy amenities. While the home’s surroundings are of a grand scale, the interiors of Villa Noa are cozy and inviting. In the open-plan living and dining room, warm neutral tones and slipcovered sofas and chairs lend a certain rustic elegance.
The villa has eight bedrooms, including two on the ground floor for greater accessibility. Some of the rooms open to a balcony or to a porch. You can fall asleep to the sound of the wind meandering through the almost 700 olive trees that adorn the property and produce an exquisite olive oil. Like the main living areas, the bedrooms charm with warm neutral tones and farmhouse-inspired original furnishings.
Set just outside the village of Marlia and close to the hamlet of Valgiano, Villa Noa puts you a short drive from Lucca old town, as well as a wide range of shops, supermarkets, restaurants, grocery stores, delis, bakeries and much more in the village of Marlia. Once at Villa Noa, catch up on some reading beneath shady pergolas, work on your tan by the glorious infinity swimming pool and take advantage of its jacuzzi corner while surrounded by your private view. A stroll through the woods of the estate will indulge your soul. In the afternoon, fire up the BBQ and grill something fresh from a local market. At dinner, the fully-equipped kitchen is sure to inspire your inner chef. Or, you could bring in a private chef to create a menu of delicious Italian cuisine. After dinner, take a bottle of wine out and sit on the pool-edge while the sun sets over the rolling hills.
This region of Tuscany offers countless opportunities to experience the long and diverse local history, starting with enchanting Lucca (15 minutes away) with the best preserved Amphitheatre in the Roman world to Pisa, San Miniato and Montecatini Terme which are between a 30 to 60 minute drive away. Pistoia, Volterra, Siena, Bolgheri, Viareggio, Forte dei Marmi, Garfagnana, Valdinievole and the Versilia Coast are also all within easy reach. Or you can choose to enjoy the region as visitors have done for centuries: simply admiring the views and letting the surrounding vineyards and olive trees refresh your spirit.

We were a family group of 14 staying in July 2024.
We had a fantastic time! The villa is gorgeous and comfortable, a wonderful place to hang out but also close to Lucca. We hired Anna to cook for us on our first and last evenings but after the first feast asked her back twice more. Daniela made the arrangements easy and was always responsive to any questions or to make suggestions. I cannot say enough about Villa Noa! It will be a memory our family shares forever!

Our group of 14, ages 9-78, had an amazing week at Villa Noa! It was a great location to base our day trips - Florence, Cinque Terre, Modena, Pisa and of course Lucca. Having Anna cook a few meals was a real treat. The house, grounds and pool were all beautiful and just as pictured. You won’t be disappointed!

Words cannot describe how much our family of 15 enjoyed our time at Villa Noa. The property was even better than advertised. The amenities and furnishings were superb. We ate all our meals Al fresco and the salt water pool was wonderful. The housekeeper Anna and her daughter made us two meals while we were there and were very reasonable and restaurant quality. They were so pleasant and friendly. We all loved Lucca. Not swarmed with tourists but a really fun place. We daytripped to Cinque Terre and several other towns nearby but really loved our time at Villa Noa. Daniela was very helpful as well.

We had an amazing week at this villa with our family. The house and views are even more beautiful than the photos. It is quiet, private, and relaxing. The location makes it easy to enjoy day trips to other places, such as Florence, Pisa, Cinque Terre, etc. We really enjoyed our stay and would absolutely rent this villa again if we came back to this area. We highly recommend it!

We enjoyed a week there, even though it rained most of the time. The living room was a great place for 9 people to spend time with each other, and kitchen and dining room were both lovely places to cook and eat together. Each of the bedrooms was spacious and comfortable. The only thing to mention is that two of the bedrooms are in the same building but separated from the rest of the house and are accessed through a separate entrance. The house is close to a very good supermarket and is about a 15-20 drive into Lucca. We loved it!

This property exceeded our expectations, our group of nine enjoyed our time at Villa Noa, the setting in an olive groove overlooking Lucca is stunning.
Our host Daniela looked after all of our needs and was excellent to work with.
Be sure and have Anna do a meal for you, it is a treat.
We would love to return some day.

The property is gorgeous, all the rooms are fantastic, and the kitchen is something out of the movies! We were a large extended family group of 16 people including grandparents, parents, and young kids, and the place was fantastic for this type of gathering. It's truly set up to host a large gathering comfortably, and the pool is incredible.
Daniela was a very responsive host, and we definitely reccomend to hire Anna and her daughter to come cook for you in the villa. It's cost effective and delicious.

We arrived on a beautiful Sunday afternoon to our kind host who checked us in efficiently. As she said, "the house is exactly as pictured!". Actually the house is better than the pictures indicated. It was beyond lovely and spacious; the grounds are exquisite and quiet. The pool area is a veritable refuge and oasis from the business of travel. This family trip was to celebrate our 50th anniversary and included our three children, their spouses and 8 grandchildred raging in age from almost 2 to almost 14. It was quite magical to say the least. The hosts couldn't have been more attentive to our every whim. We treated ourselves to two fabulous dinners provided by the lovely Anna and it was a joyful indulgence. This place is a jewel in every way. Thanks for the wonderful lifetime memory.

The villa was absolutely perfect for our large group of 14 adults and provided all the amenities in an absolutely stunning location.
Everything about the booking process was very easy and straightforward. I had some issues with the site accepting my credit card but the team were able to quickly provide an alternative way to pay. All the team were responsive and clear in their messaging.
Upon arrival, the house manager Daniela met our group at an agreed location and showed us around the Villa, ensuring we knew where everything was. Upon check out, she again met us at the Villa and ensured we had a good stay. She was very easy to communicate with and made the check in and check out process a breeze.
One amazing perk of this house is the private chefs - we originally hadn’t organized to have the chefs cook us a meal as we had assumed it would be very expensive. Daniela explained the rates and process to us upon check in and it was a no brainer to have the chefs! They organize the menu, do the shopping, cook and serve at an agreed time and do all the clean up. It was incredibly well priced and absolutely delicious food. The ladies who cooked for us were lovely and made the whole experience incredibly special.
The house itself is as good as it looks in the photos - stunning location overlooking the Italian countryside, large pool with plenty of loungers and cabanas, and each room had its own bathroom. We can’t wait to go back!
Definitely advertise the chefs more! It was such an amazing experience to have home cooked meals at the Villa.
