About this apartment rental

"La Bastide" was built in 1889 by Lord Salisbury, Prime Minister of the Queen Victoria. The Massa Family became the owners in 1947.
"La Bastide" is set in five hectares of parkland where olive, lemon end oranges trees grow together with green oaks and cypres trees between the city of Nice and Monaco.
The property has a spectacular panoramic view over the Mediteranean Sea, Beaulieu sur mer and the Cap Ferrat.
Every studio has a south exposed terace of 12m² with a wonderfull view on the sea, a main room of 30m² with one double bed and AC, a small equiped kitchen and a bathroom.
A couple of housekeepers live in the permises all around the year.
Parking facilities are avaible within the property.

Superb views with secure parking. Worth the walk up the hill although we found there was a bus 84 that takes you to the bottom gate on our last day.

Absolutely LOVED the studio apartment with the most amazing view. The apartment was very clean and well equipped and quiet. It was wonderful to comeback every day from our day trips to this tranquil villa with spacious green spaces and sit on the balcony with a glass of wine and enjoy the view. Parking space on the property is included which is a bonus. We walked or took the train most days. It is a bit of a steep walk from town to the villa but doable.

The view of Beaulieu-sur-Mer is spectacular. We enjoyed sitting out on the balcony daily. In the morning with our coffee and in the evening with our wine (there is a corkscrew). This property is just as described, and as the photos show. Simple and basic with everything we needed. One clarification for other Americans is that we would consider the bed a King size bed rather than a Double as listed. The room was very comfortable with the much needed air conditioning. Note: There was soap, toilet paper, salt, pepper, coffee, tea. Only commenting because someone else said that they didn’t have these items. Ms. Gallis who welcomed us does not speak English and we don’t speak French or Italian, but she was able to clearly communicate how everything worked. Ample parking was a plus in a town with limited parking. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again.

Overall a fabulous experience. If you don’t have a car, it’s a 10 minute walk down to Beaulieu Sur Mer, the climb back up the hill is doable but quite a walk. The view and hospitality were wonderful and we hope to return! Merci beaucoup to Erika, Madame Gallis and Cedric for the English tutorial!

We enjoyed our stay here, but it's a climb everyday to get back to the suite. I guess that's the price you pay for gorgeous views over the Mediterranean! The suite could have been better supplied I think - no coffee, paper towels, or bathroom supplies. Something we were used to having in our other stays. Overall we enjoyed our stay.

Die Aussicht vom Balkon ist wirklich hervorragend. Zum Strand zu laufen ist ein bisschen weit, vorallem im Hochsommer bei über 30° Grad und aufwärts. Die Lage der Ferienwohnung ist gut. Die Räume sind gut klimatisiert und man kann gut schlafen.

Beautiful, quiet and relaxing setting looking out over Beaulieu-sur-mer within walking distance of town center: climbing required! Comfortable amenities though limited kitchen supplies for cooking full meals. Wonderfully helpful gardienne. Easy local train connections to Nice, Cannes or Menton.

Wir haben eine Woche im Appartment verbracht. Die Lage und der Ausblick sind ein Traum. Wir sind mit dem Zug angereist und haben keinen Mietwagen gebraucht- wer gerne zu Fuß unterwegs ist ist in dem Appartement gut aufgehoben. Die Einrichtung ist einfach und etwas veraltet, aber es ist alles da um sich selbst zu versorgen, im Ort gibt es mehrere Supermärkte und jeden Tag einen kleinen Markt. Vor Ort hat sich Mme Gilles sehr zuvorkommend und sehr freundlich um uns gekümmert und war jederzeit ansprechbar. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Wir waren im August 2021 für eine Woche in diesem Studio. Es befindet sich auf einem großen parkähnlichen Gelände in einem alten Gebäude, das Studio ist hervorragend saniert und mit allem ausgestattet was man benötigt. Die Klimaanlage ist sehr genau einstellbar und arbeitet sehr leise. Direkt vor dem Haus kann man parken und es sind selbst in der Hochsaison genügend Plätze vorhanden. Nun zum ALLERBESTEN: Von dem Balkon (mit ausfahrbarer Markise!!!) hat man einen fantastischen Blick auf den darunter liegenden Stadtteil, auf die Bucht und das Cap-Ferrat. Wir konnten nahezu stundenlang wie im Miniaturwunderland den unter uns fahrenden Zügen und Booten beim Fahren zuschauen. Ebenso abends wenn an den Promenaden, in den Restaurants oder auf den Schiffen die Lichter angingen. Das war Luxus zum bezahlbaren Preis! Vielen Dank an die Vermieter für die unkomplizierte Abwicklung, wir kommen gern wieder! Jens aus Sachsen

Excellent apartment with all facilities and superb view overlooking Beaulieu-sur-Mer bay. Can't be beaten. Short walk from town centre - no issues. Lovely beach and good restaurants. Lots to do - train to Menton, Monaco, Nice and Villefranche-sur-Mer ever 15 mins.

Die prachtvolle Bastide war der perfekte Ausgangsort für unseren Urlaub an der Côte D'Azur. Etwas versteckt gelegen, belohnen die stilecht eingerichteten Zimmer mit einem atemberaubenden Ausblick über die Dächer und den Hafen von Beaulieu. Der sehr freundliche Kontakt mit den Vermietern und der Concierge runden das gelungene Gesamtbild ab. Wir werden die Unterkunft an Freunde und Bekannte weiterempfehlen!

Das Appartement ist klein aber fein, es ist soweit alles vorhanden was man braucht. Der Balkon mit der unfassbar schönen Aussicht lädt sowohl morgens als auch nachts zum längeren sitzen und genießen ein. Ohne Auto ist der Weg zu den Stränden in Beaulieu-sur-Mer und Villefranche-sur-Mer als auch das Erreichen der Einkaufsmöglichkeiten erschwerlich was an den 110 Meter Höhenunterschied liegt. Die nahegelegenen Städte wie Monaco, Cannes und Nizza sind gut zu erreichen jedoch mussten wir feststellen dass die Zuverlässigkeit der öffentlichen sehr zu wünschen übrig lässt. Unsere Urlaubserfahrung war sehr schön und unvergesslich. Wir danken der Gastgeberin auf diesem Wege. Natascha & Patrick

Omdat de gast welke in onze gehuurde studio ziek bleek en hierdoor langer wilde blijven werd ons een andere kamer aangeboden. Het geboden alternatief was prima en we hebben een heerlijk verblijf gehad. Zeer schoon appartement, en het uitzicht is betoverend mooi. Zeer vriendelijke gastvrouw. Het strand en supermarkt zijn op loopafstand maar het is wel een flinke klim door de stijle straten en wegen.

Der herausragende Pluspunkt dieses Objekts ist mit Sicherheit die fantastische Aussicht, die die Panoramic - Zimmer bieten. Man genießt vom ersten Augenblick den unverbauten Ausblick auf das darunter liegende Beaulieu-sur-Mer, die Ameisenbucht und Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat. Die ausreichend groß dimensionierte Terrasse verleitet zum Sonnenbaden oder zum ausgedehnten Frühstücken / Abendessen unter freiem Himmel. Die Lage der Residenz eignet sich bestens für die motorisierte Erkundung der naheliegenden Orte wie Nizza, Monte Carlo oder des bergigen Hinterlandes. Wanderer und Radfahrer sollten aufgrund der steilen Anstiege Kondition mitbringen. Die Zimmer sind komplett und stilvoll ausgestattet. Die Gastgeberin und die Hausdame sind überaus freundlich und zuvorkommend. Tip zur Anreise: die Residenz "La Bastide" ist aufgrund der exponierten Lage auf einem mehrere Hektar großen Privatgelände nicht gerade leicht zu finden. Die Hausnummer 1 ist zwei mal vergeben und man landet lt. Navi zwangsläufig bei einem anderen, nicht weniger exklusiven Privatobjekt. Befahren Sie La Bastide von "oben" über die Avenue Leopold II und trauen sich die Privatstraße durch das Tor abwärts zu benutzen. Nach exakt 6 Kurven erreichen Sie das Objekt auf der linken Seite. Position: 43° 42' 28,89''N 007° 19' 30,91''E. Wir können diese Unterkunft uneingeschränkt weiterempfehlen. A. & W. König

Wir hatten einen traumhaften Aufenthalt in dieser schönen am Berg gelegenen Villa. Durch die private Zufahrt gab es keinen Verkehr und es waren immer ausreichend Parkplätze vorhanden. Das geräumige und sehr gepflegte saubere Zimmer besticht durch den atemberaubenden Ausblick auf Cap-Ferrat. Die Küche ist mit allen nötigen Utensilien ausgestattet und auf der großen Terrasse konnte man sehr gut essen und am Abend verweilen. Hervorheben möchten wir das Personal, insbesondere Mme. Solange und die Besitzerin der Villa. Wir wurden mit offenen Armen sehr herzlich empfangen und fühlten uns als deren Gäste sehr wohl. Dafür verantwortlich war nicht zuletzt der österreichische Charme der Hausdame.
