Upstate and chill in the cozy full bed with your s.o. for a romantic cottage getaway. A comfy second bed makes it great for get-aways with your bestie, too. Located on a dead-end street, equipped with AC, heat, high speed internet, and private parking. No car, no problem: Trailways bus less than a mile away! Overlook Mountain rising over the treetops, short walk to village center, with its music venues and lively restaurant scene. The cottage is immaculate and extremely well appointed. The walk to town is a bit far and there are no sidewalks, so expect to drive there. The dog in the main house is a bit of yapper.

Our stay at Junebug Cottage was absolutely wonderful! The renovation of this charming cottage utilized every inch of space for comfort and practicality. The high quality granite, tile, carpets, and light fixtures were perfectly chosen to reflect the history of the property and add some style and luxury! The owners were attentive and obviously keep the cottage impeccably clean. We hope to stay here again and again!

Very clean, cozy and comfortable house. Perfect for 2 people and the back patio with Blackstone grill is where we spent a lot of time. Access to the fire pit was a bonus and being able to walk to town is true. There is an EV charger only a .5 mile walk away and on your way into town. Sylvia restaurant was one of the best dining experiences this year for us and funky/quirky Early Terrible should not be missed. A gem of a place, John & Mollie were highly communicative and great host. It is their guest house so they are available when needed, yet always respectful of our space.

June Bug Cottage was the perfect, private hideaway with all the updated amenities you need. Clean and cozy and beautifully decorated. A hop, skip and a jump to Woodstock town and all it has to offer. We had a spectacular experience at the Junebug Cottage! The space was absolutely immaculate, well-maintained and appointed, and the perfect size for a couple for a few days. Walking distance to town, peaceful outdoor space and access to a blackstone grill, and really lovely hospitality - we would recommend this property and host in a heartbeat. I was in town for a workshop and my husband used the cottage WiFi to work one day and then used it as base camp for hiking. The location and amenities were ideal. We spent the weekend and had a wonderful time. The property was conveniently located near the center of town while still being very quiet and private. The cottage is perfect for a couple’s weekend getaway. Great spot if you want to have a jumping off point to explore the area. Would definitely stay again.

My husband and I visited Woodstock for a long weekend away from NYC and stayed at Junebug Cottage. It was perfect for our needs--clean, comfortable, stylish, and only a 15-minute walk into town and a 10-minute-or-so drive to the Overlook Mountain trailhead and Opus40. Communication with John, our host, was easy and clear. The guest cottage is near the main house, but our hosts established a sense of privacy and autonomy for us with their clear communication via VRBO's messaging platform and curtains in the cottage. They also provided some homey welcoming touches, like sparkling water and coffee, which were there for us when we arrived. We also enjoyed visiting the restaurants that John recommended. We would love to stay here again!

We loved the Junebug cottage! The location was very close to the village, but far enough away to experience the peaceful nature and wildlife.
Mollie and John were wonderful hosts, & very easy to communicate with.
The cottage was beautifully renovated and artistically decorated!
They suggested Sloan Preserve for a morning hike and Opus 40 in Saugerties; a breathtaking sculptural garden created by one artist over 37 years! Do not miss it!
We enjoyed our weekend away and look forward to returning to the Junebug cottage very soon!

Perfect in every way! Walked into town and easy access to drive around the area. Top notch finishes and personal care products. Lay out was amazing for a couple with plenty of space. Comfortable bed and linens! Everything was fresh and cozy. We didn’t need any climate control but was happy to see heating, cooling and fans. Friendly hosts and welcoming town.

We had a wonderful time in Woodstock staying at the Junebug Cottage. The property is central to all activities in the Woodstock area and easily walkable to downtown. The cottage itself was very cozy and comfortable. John and Molly were very friendly and helpful and shared some wonderful recommendations for activities. We truly enjoyed our stay in Woodstock. The cottage is well stocked with everything you need. John and Molly are next-door and responsive to any questions you might have. It was very peaceful sitting in the backyard seeing the deer roaming in the field next-door in the woods behind the property is within walking distance of the town. We enjoyed a wonderful meal at Sylvia’s for dinner and a delicious breakfast at the Phoenicia diner. Don’t hesitate to book this cottage. It’s a wonderful place to stay.

The cottage was a perfect place for our trip to the Catskills, just 5 minutes from downtown Woodstock. The cottage was clean and had a cute modern look with modern decor and new utilities.
The bathroom was adorable and came fully stocked with nice bath products such as shampoo and body wash. There were toothbrushes as well, but be brought our own.
The den/tv space was just the right size. It was a cozy place to sit in the evening, where you could log into your own Netflix account.
There is a side patio that offers privacy and a view of the woods.
The kitchen was fully stocked with everything you need to get by for the stay. I enjoyed the coffee beans and French press! I liked that we could put our food waste into a compost pot. Just our style.
The hosts were kind and made sure everything was all set for us. They respond to messages in a timely manner through the VRBO app.
We fully enjoyed our stay.

The cottage was immaculate. A very short drive to the center of Woodstock. The bed was comfortable and the quality of the bed linens were great. The kitchen had everything we needed. The shower in the bathroom was huge and we loved all the quality products. So nice to have complimentary toothbrushes and toothpaste. Sofa in living room was also comfortable and huge TV had a lot of channels. Overall we had a wonderful stay and would definitely recommend it. John and Mollie were excellent hosts.

you should stop comparing other properties/prices and just book this one. my best friend and i booked junebug on a whim for a weekend away from nyc and WOW i am incredibly thankful that we did. john and mollie are the absolute best - so kind, thoughtful & caring. the property is beautiful and the cottage is beyond anything we imagined. there is something so so special here that i can't quite put my finger on... but you can feel how intentionally welcoming and warm every single detail is from the first second you step in.
after reading all of the other reviews i didn't really think our stay would live up to the hype. i am SO happy to have been proven SO wrong. i have never felt so relaxed and at peace as i did here.
honestly you just won't fully understand the reviews until you visit soooo just book it and go enjoy a perfectly dreamy stay in upstate ny 😌
