Short stop I wish could have been longer.

My stay at The Masceti was a delightful escape to a quiet oasis near a stunning black sandy beach. The serene location provided a perfect retreat, and the friendly staff went above and beyond to ensure a comfortable stay. The on-site restaurant offered delicious meals with a lovely view, making dining a memorable experience. While the bathroom facilities were basic, they were perfectly adequate for a budget property, and overall, it was an excellent value for the price.

The mattress was a little uncomfortable, but for the price it was acceptable.

It’s like living in a barn with annoying chickens and a temple behind the wall with very loud and annoying ceremony till 11pm. They started again at 5 in the morning. Air conditioner wasn’t able to cool down the room in 24 hours

We stayed in a bungalow which is nicely separated from the rest of the complex so you have some privacy. The view is very nice, into little rice fields, you can see the Agung volcano. It is only 3 minutes from the beach. Breakfast is OK, food in the restaurant as well. The staff was nice.

We have read a review about lizards defecating everywhere and thought it was funny. But it was not funny when we experienced it ourselves, there were really many lizards who would go through our stuff at night making noises that woke us up. There was also their poop everywhere, on the floor, bed, in the bathtub… The bungalow also doesn’t have any soundproofing, there is a mosque very near which woke us every day at 6 AM. The wi-fi doesn’t really work here. We had our room cleaned 3 times but never got fresh towels. We booked this because we liked that it us flexible and you can cancel 1 day before arrival - we have prolonged our stay 3 times deciding to cancel the last night as our plans changed and we got a really rude message that we can’t just cancel like this, no hello, no nothing. When we said that according to their policy we can, we didn’t even get any reply.

Great getaway location.

I loved my room. Stayed in the little shack amongst the rice fields. Super comfortable and private.

The only issues was the wifi was quite slow but worked enough for me to do what I needed.

Very good

Great little place away from the bustle of Sanur. A bit far away if you don't have transport. Close to Bali Safari. Very relaxing and close to the beach. The black sand beach is fairly rough, so you need to be a confident swimmer. In the afternoon many young kite fliers came and the skies were filled with a wide variety of kites until dark. The waterfront also became very busy at this time with many street food vendors selling delicious foods.

the pool was big

There were insects & ants in bed. the door was not even a proper door. and you could see in from the outside. When I paid they didn’t have the right amount of change so they wanted to give me snacks instead? refused and they found some more change…. was suppose to stay two nights could not stand it so I said I didn’t like this so I’m leaving they didn’t even bother to help or give back money! would never stay there again or recommend it

Very nice and chill place.

The view from the restaurant area is amazing. I loved it. The included breakfast is delicious too. The owner of the place is a local acupuncture doctor, my friend got some treatment from him for his long lasting cold. You shoud know that price for locals is different to what you'll pay because of the medical insurance. Staffs are very attentive and helpful. They kept our bags for days.

The pool is little hot because of the strong sunlight during the day. Would be nice if there was some shade.

We booked for 3 nights, but moved out after 1 night.

The staff is friendly. They allowed us to check in early. Room is spacious, but have seen better days.

Dust fell all over the room when the fan was turned on. Similarly the aircon. We are itching the whole night due to the fine layer of dust.

how close it was to the beach. cheap menu. spacious beautiful room nice bathroom(apart from cold water for bath)

way too many mosquitos in our room every night ( could have had mosquito lamps or candles to deter them) bath water was cold so couldn’t use bath sound of farm animals every night was very loud

Stayed 2 nights and enjoyed the beautiful scenery and nearby beach with surf.

Beautiful property, free breakfast, easy moterbike rental, great location and amazing staff. Short walk to surf spots nearby and great local warung across the street. Loved my stay here. Highly recommend this place!
