This apartment is just huge like a palace. Has a real royal and luxurious look. The apartment was very clean and had an amazing bed. Fully equipped kitchen with everything you need. Just an amazing place to stay.
Nothing negative to say.

Absolutely beautiful apartment. Hosts were very welcoming, friendly and helpful whilst unobtrusive. This is a gorgeous apartment which is part of the main house retaining many of its original features. Beautifully decorated and furnished. The living area and bedroom are so spacious. It is in an ideal location for visiting surrounding towns but also very secluded with large gardens. We fell in love with the place within minutes of walking in.
That we didn't book for longer

Second time we have stayed here and it certainly won’t be the last. Fantastic place, ideal location, simply perfect for us
Very minor but an ice/ freezer compartment in the fridge would be a good addition.

Great space for a summer visit. Huge rooms. Converted big house.
Very cold. Down side of huge rooms in large old property. Best visited in summer.

Very spacious, beautiful rooms. Bed comfortable, outside area lovely. Quiet and peaceful. Gorgeous cafe 6 mins walk away called Serendipity, which was perfect for us. Would definitely stay here again.
Isn't really a dislike but could have done with a full-length mirror in the bedroom. We also like a TV in the bedroom but that's just our preference. The living room was gorgeous, but rather a big space that was wasted, I'd either add another sofa or move the TV. Hubby did spot a few cobwebs, but this is expected in a country property.

This place is amazing! Did not expect it to be as big or as grand as it is. A complete hidden gem! The host is a lovely woman and we even booked an extra night as we didn't want to leave!

The spacious rooms. The four poster bed. It was secluded
It could do with a more powerful shower

Nice and quiet. Plenty of space - the living room is enormous, but welcoming. Kitchen had everything you could need. Property just outside of town, in its own grounds, with lots of sky. Host was super helpful and quick to respond to queries. Will definitely stay again if I can.

very clean, very spacious and exceeded my expectations

I am assuming that this property is a work in progress. It has the potential to be absolutely stunning but there are several areas which let it down.
A guest service booklet would be helpful e.g. how the Apple box works for the TV, where the switch is for the outside/vestibule lights (we were really looking forward to sitting at the front door area which was festooned with fairy lights but couldn't find the switch although we tried all visible switches).
We didn't cook at the property after seeing the state of the oven, trays and microwave, thankfully we had brought snacks.
I had to clean the bath before I could use it.
Whilst the bedroom was beautiful, at a glance, the bedding was not ironed (call me old fashioned but I do like my bed linen to be ironed) and the pillow cases had gaping holes in them. Mucky blinds added to the disappointment and probably THE most uncomfortable mattress I have ever slept on sealed the deal.
There were also some rather concerning safety issues. The laminate floor in the hallway is lifting slightly in places, my partner caught his feet on two occasions. There is no threshold between the hall laminate and the bathroom tiles, there is also a crack in the bathroom tiles from the door to under the sink. There is an area at the sink end of the kitchen where the flooring does not go up to the units, again my poor partner's feet were the victim. There is a capped, I assume, gas pipe by the side of the sofa in the living room just asking to be tripped on - if this is a live pipe this could be a tragedy waiting to happen.
At first glance the property is idyllic and appeared just what we were looking for - quiet, cosy, comfortable and clean. In reality it is very much in need of TLC in a really good clean.
I must apologise, when my partner opened the living room curtains in the morning he partially pulled them off the end of the curtain rail due to the lack of any finial, sadly due to the height of the rail we could not do anything to rectify that. Given some of the other curtains were in a similar state it appears we are not the first to have this issue.

There was nothing to dislike

great space good location just a mile into centre of Arbroath
lovely property would have been nicer if there had been a clock and the cutlery saucepans etc had been of better quality. they. were adequate but considering the standard of the accommodation not in keeping also some thing to clean saucepans with should have been provided

The place was very easy to find with the instructions. A little out of Arbroath but very handy for the amazing Pictish stones at St Vigeans. It really is huge; the main rooms with two large sofas rather lost in the middle, the bedroom with a large four poster similarly dwarfed.
Having to heave round the heavy sofa to be able to watch TV. Rather blunt cutting knives in the kitchen and no oven gloves. The shower was electric; OK but nothing special.

The apartment is huge and has been quite grand in its day. It was so lovely to have all that space to ourselves! It's set amongst trees on the edge of town (but still close to everything we needed) so is very peaceful. The kitchen and washing machine were much appreciated, and the help and concern shown by our host during a medical emergency will never be forgotten
