Fantastic staff, great breakfast, good location, ample parking
Wall are paper thin - can hear people talking in next room, outside needs good tidy

The room was huge, bathroom was lovely, felt very opulent.
Staff were very helpful. There was a nice walk into Tain with plenty of choice for a drink and snacks. Lovely and clean. There was a lot of choice at breakfast, would recommend.

Excellent location. Superb room. Delightful catering. Polite and friendly staff. What more can you want
It was excellent from start to finish of our stay

The room was as expected. A great four poster bed with a large bath which had power jets.
Don't know how good the wifi was as we used our own dongle/mi-fi.
Lovely clean spacious room with coffee and tea made available.
Hot water within the bathroom was always of a good temperature (unlike many other hotels we've used in the past) .
A cooked scottish breakfast was included and was cooked to order (great haggis).
Also the option of having a cold buffet breakfast with pastries etc.
The staff were great, welcoming and always with a smile.
Thanks to everyone who made our short stay so perfect.... had it not been for a prior engagement we would have stayed a third night.
Having to leave !!!

lights in the stairwell to the back rooms.
breakfast wasn't all hot
A member of management came in at breakfast with coat and scarf on and was quite cold to us, this was disappointing as everyone else had been so nice an welcoming.

Modern rooms built on to an old mansion. Comfortable spacious rooms. Excellent meals. We were there on the evening that Sustralia played Argentina in the World Cup. The owners of the hotel supported opposing sides.

Hotel has a nice big car park (in fact there were a couple of camper vans parked up in the back half). Staff were friendly on arrival, room was as booked, large space, huge double bed. I had dinner in the bar and the service was good, quick, and food was tasty. Breakfast was excellent
Hotel is a bit tired in places, and the rooms lack a certain atmosphere, but that having been said, it represented good value for money and met all of my needs.

The staff were so welcoming and nothing was too much trouble the rooms and hotel were cosy ,and toasty warm ,much needed in December in the highlands I will definitely be returning. The food was excellent,we had dinner new years eve and a few more nights the quality was consistent throughout.
I really had no dislikes

The hotel have spent some time redecorating rooms but they have rehung old pictures in the rooms which has undone the good work of the redecorating .in the room there was tea and coffee making facilities but only paper cups to drink from the kettle had to be moved to be able to plug it in . Bed was on a slope so spent all night trying not to fall out of it. The food in the restaurant was over priced at over £15 for breakfast the evening meals where not much better with only one medium size potatoe on the plate . Overall a sub standard experience

The staff are really friendly. The hotel is close to the Morangie Distillery and in close proximity to many good golf courses. The breakfast is amazing.
The hotel décor and facilities are a bit dated and the rooms could do with a refresh.

Had to travel to sister hotel for evening meal and no cooked breakfast only continental breakfast available

Very clean, comfortable, very helpful and friendly staff and outstanding food!

Big old hotel in some areas a little tired in terms of decor but don't let that put you off as staff were super and food is great. We stayed one night on NC500 route and thoroughly recommend the hotel. Staff were knowledgeable, able to recommend food/drink options and went out of their way to ensure you had a good stay. Evening meal was delicious, waitress recommended mushroom linguine [something I usually avoid as can be pile of pasta with few mushrooms thrown on top] and it was delicious probably the best I have ever had!! No other eating options nearby so suggest you book meal in the hotel. GlenMorangie distillery literally down the road.

The cooked breakfast was great and the continental breakfast the staff went out of their way to cater for Gluten Free.
The staff were excellent and accommodated our needs. Thanking them for a fantastic effort and friendly too.
Room 10 I couldn’t figure out how to work the shower so I had to have a bath. No flannels.

Very spacious room. Had everything we needed. Very quiet location. Room was extremely clean. Staff very friendly. Breakfast excellent .

Big four poster bedroom
Dinner was not good - chef must have dropped the salt pot in. Not advised at time of booking that Dog would extra £20

The staff were friendly and very helpful particularly the receptionist Joanie and the breakfast waitress.

The food wasn't stunning but very acceptable and I have no complaints. The room was quiet and comfortable. A bonus for some might be that the Glenmorangie distillery is only a short walk from the hotel.
