Esperienza complessiva non positiva - Attenzione allergici acari-polvere

colazione varia ma non troppo, anche chi ha delle intolleranze può trovare qualcosina, sarebbe buono aggiungere un pò di frutta perchè chi ha intolleranze al glutine e al lattosio può buttarsi solamente sulla colazione salata "americana", copertura wi-fi in tutta la struttura, la seconda camera era ok ma le prime 2 notti abbiamo dormito con la finestra aperta per far cambiare un pò l'aria, ho chiesto la mattina dopo di dare una pulita extra e di cambiare il copriletto bucato e hanno provveduto, anche se con un po' di scettiscismo.

Arrivo nella prima camera, ore 23-00, forte odore di chiuso e presenza polvere sulla tv e alcuni mobili, immediata reazione allergica causa polvere + scoperta di non aver dietro l'antistaminico. Portiere notturno burbero e poco comprensivo dello stato in cui ero, si rifiuta di cambiare la camera ma mi indica la farmacia di turno più vicina per reperire l'antistaminico. Ritorno in albergo verso l'1:30, insisto per avere un altra camera - nonostante l'antistaminico, appena rientravo, i sintomi allergici si riacutizzavano - il portiere notturno mi sostituisce la camera malvolentieri sostenendo infastidito che non bastava specificare in fase di prenotazione che ero allergica, ma che avrei dovuto anche precisare il mio "grado di allergia". Nel trasbordo tra una camera e l'altra, perdo la mia collanina d'oro, che non verrà più ritrovata. La seconda camera è in condizioni nettamente migliori, ma il mio compagno trova una consistente quantità di polvere sul chiudiporta della porta d'ingresso e sul telaio della porta del bagno, li pulisce e arieggia prima di farmi entrare. Il copriletto presentava un buco da bruciatura di sigaretta, non è presente lo scaldasalviette. Dopo una doccia e aver sistemato i bagagli torno nella hall verso le 3 per comprare dell'acqua dal bar, non trovo presente nessuno, luci abbassate sia al bar che alla reception e rumore di qualcuno che russa, non è stato possibile fare nulla e sono tornata in camera.

A comfortable stay with friendly staff, though breakfast and sauna options could be improved.

During our stay, several aspects left a positive impression on us. Firstly, the room was quite good, providing us with a comfortable and enjoyable space to rest and relax. The staff was exceptional, displaying a level of kindness and attentiveness that made our stay even more enjoyable. They were always ready to assist with any inquiries or requests, making us feel welcome throughout our visit.

While there were many positive aspects, there were a few areas that didn't fully meet our expectations. The breakfast offered fell short of what we anticipated from a 4-star hotel. It lacked variety and quality, leaving us a bit disappointed in the morning dining experience. Moreover, we were disappointed to find that the hotel didn't have a spa available, which we were looking forward to enjoying during our stay. The sauna option was available, but we found it to be expensive and not worth the cost. Additionally, the process of booking and using the sauna proved to be a hassle, which added a bit of inconvenience to our experience. In summary, we had a good overall stay, enjoying the comfortable room and the attentive staff. However, improvements in the breakfast selection, availability of a spa, and the ease of accessing the sauna would have made our experience even better.

Superb

Room very nice decor with large rooftop terrace sunbeds , outdoor shower and mountain view.. Restaurant breakfast & dinner. Outdoor bar area.Friendly staff. 10 minutes walk from train station perfect for exploring other cities and towns

Would suggest the plastic chairs on terrace be replaced with stronger seats as break very easily and dangerous...minor negative easily fixed. ...advise bring travel kettle if you fancy tea coffee in room....Overall a lovely hotel highly recommended

Great buffet breakfast. The on duty manager was extremely helpful, making our check in as relaxed and easy as possible. Everyone was polite and made you feel welcome.

Close to centre but quiet and short walk to station for trips to Florence, Lucca Pisa etc. Very attractive Tuscan style hotel where staff were happy to help.

The hotel is in a great location , 7/8 minutes walk to station and the same to the centre of the town. The rooms are lovely but the best thing about the hotel are the staff, especially the receptionists. They were so friendly and helpful-great assets to the hotel

It was nice and relaxing.

Location is perfect, steps away from the park, about 5 min walking from the centre. Not really noisy. I didn’t have a free breakfast, wasn’t included in my room. So check your booking policy properly. The room was tiny, but very cozy and clean, furnished with style, has a little balcony, the bed was comfortable and bedding was very nice. Love the drawer, transforming into the desk. The pool and area around is nice. I even swam. The common areas in the hotel are very inviting and lovely.

For us it deserves a 3 star hotel, rather than a 4 star one, as it states on booking.com

Location is good. Classical building style. Our room was clean, with nice and spacious terrace and nice view. Beautifully handpainted wood furnitures in the room. Staffs were nice, polite and helpful. The restaurant at the opposite site of the hotel, Trattoria Tuscany, if I remember its name correctly was quite nice, with very nice personals, quite good food and reasonable price. They offered quite a few vegetarian food as well as sea food dishes, which suited our diets well. We were so glad to find that restaurant that we ate there almost every night.

It costs 3 euros/person per day to rent the towel for the pool, that was probably the reason why no one was in the pool while we were staying there for 9 nights. Internet was slow. The breakfast was quite poor and kept almost the same everyday. It was cold at night, in September when the temperature outside was approximately 15- 16 degree, there were blankets but without covering, so we didn't use them, due to sanitised reason, instead we asked for one thin bed sheet each. It was therefore not cosy enough and we could hardly sleep well at night. The bed and pillows were a bit too hard for us. It costs 20 euros deposit to use the security box inside the room. We didn't want to pay for it, even it was only a deposit and we would get the money back when we checked out. The room was not quite well soundproof, it was easily to hear toilet flush, or people walking from the rooms next by. We wished that there was mosquito net at the door towards the terrace so we can open the door to get fresh air and switch off the aircon when it is cold enough. Apart from the nice marble floor, the interior of public areas looked a bit dated. Personally i like old style, that is why i chose this hotel, but it looks better on photos though.

Excellent service and beautiful area

Good sized swimmingpool en nice situated. Various breakfast ,nice and friendly staff. Daily clean towels and a brand clean room. Reception made reservations for us, for taxi and Termen. The staff does everything what's possible to make your holiday complete. Many thanks and compliments for your excellent service. We saw that the waiters where so helpfull at breakfast. They helped disabled guests at the breakfastbuffet.In a wheelchair it's impossible to fill your plate, the waiters where so passient and emphatic. Many thanks for your great hospitality, you've made our holiday one of the best!

Lovely charming stay

The hotel is old. The room is terribly small and cramped. staff cold and unfriendly. They moved us behind the table during the breakfast. We stayed two nights and the next day our towels were not changed and our room wasn't cleaned. Terrible accommodation, I would not recommend it to anyone. My rating is zero

Great spot, great value

Loved my room. Light with pool and garden views. Great location for sights, funicular, Centro Station.. dint go to M'catini Terme station as further away. Lovely friendly and helpful staff.

3 separate plug adaptors didn't fit their wall sockets so had to rely on friend for phone charging. Insect bites.. not hotel's fault. Pool great but needs some work doing.

Excelent location, a few minutes to the center of the city and park. Quiet and pleasant hotel, nice and clean rooms, with excelent beds and colored furniture. Good breakfast, nice waiters. Very kind and helpful hotel owners.

Short 2 day break

Great location , quiet but close to all local tourist attractions (funicular & terms). Only 5-10 minutes to centre of town and close enough to Central station to walk . Great to have a pool which at this time of year had plenty of space .

Very friendly staff, especially Alice, very helpful, lovely breakfast, clean hotel , excellent pool, and in a good location!

The price of the hotel, booking.com and the hotels price was totally different, and when a questioned the difference, the hotels answer was , city tax has just gone up, and drinks were added to our room bill which we never had, which might of been a mistake, and was corrected, but the city tax excuse was laughable!

Really great hotel in brilliant location

Location is perfect. Central to all the local sites but without being noisy. Windows are incredibly soundproof! Breakfast is great with a wide range of food available. We founds the beds really comfortable and the room is cleaned daily. The pool is the perfect temperature!

The shower is okay - it does it’s job but it is not powerful.

A perfect place to stay. We will definitely return when next visiting this part of Italy.

This is a friendly family run hotel. The breakfast is well stocked with a choice of cereals, fruit, pastries and eggs and bacon etc plus a coffee machine to make drinks to order. The pool is well maintained with plenty of sun beds and the bedrooms are cleaned daily and are spotlessly clean. We had a superior room which had a lovely little balcony and our sons had a twin room which was fine. The hotel is well located to use as a base to explore and there were lots of local restaurants to chose from.

Enjoyed the experience of a small, well run family hotel.

Lovely family run hotel that has retained its Tuscan charm. A very comfortable hotel to stay in and use as your base to explore the countryside. The staff were at all times very pleasant and helpful.

The coffee at breakfast was very poor.
