The best place to stay. Genuine, friendly and professional.

This hotel has a genuinely friendly, calm and welcoming atmosphere. Nitsa, her family and others working at the hotel are all very nice people and what we experienced was great hospitality, warmth and professionalism too. The hotel is operated very well and is an excellent place to stay in Kefalos and just 1 minute stroll to the sea. Amazing views towards the sea from our balcony. The bus stop to the airport and other places on Kos is 30 seconds from the hotel door. Two small supermarkets are within 1 minute walk. The rooms are clean and comfortable, the buffet breakfast is great and for us this was the perfect place to spend our whole holiday. We intended to stay 3 nights and then look around other places in Kos but we extended to 7 nights as we really like the hotel and Kefalos.

Everything is perfect. Don’t change anything in the hotel!

Perfect for a low-key, relaxing stay on kos.

Lovely family run hotel, clean and well managed with friendly, helpful owners. Nice pool area with plenty of sunbeds. Good breakfast. I would book here again.

Staff, friendly and helpful Location near the beach Pool area very pleasant Breakfast was good Room Ok with great view and good AC Bed was comfortable

Shower head broken, Shower a kind of 2 step bath Undersheet too small for the bed, turned it 90 deg to tuck it in but maid kept switching it!

Loved the kos people, so genuine, they're a bit like us irish but with sunshine

Right on the beach, close to all bars n restaurants, the owners so pleasant n accommodating, we were looked after so well, the resort itself family run n cared for us tourists so well, didn't feel they were trying to rip us off, lovely people x

I think we came a little too early, 8th May 2023, would come back anytime

Nice location near see, close to restaurants and small supermarket. Very friendly host, helpful, good advices, make you feel like the hotel is your house. Kefalos is a quiet area, no party around, perfect for relaxing.

The beaches in the area are not sandy, there is a mixed of stone and small pebbles, heart your legs, difficult to go in the sea on stones. But the sea is very clear, blue water, perfect for swimming. Too many sun beds on the beach, bothering you when you want to walk along the sea. Public transport, buses, is very poor, just 4 buses a day to travel to Kos, not coming in time. You need to hire a car to visit the island, no other way.

Fabulous week in a traditional family run Greek establishment.

Location was the best. Right on the front opposite the beach. Spotlessly clean. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Pool was great with plenty of loungers. Breakfast was basic but good tea/coffee, juice, yoghurts, toast/bread, meats, cheese, boiled eggs and fruit. Would highly recommend.

Nothing - except bathroom a bit small, but you don’t go away to stay in a bathroom.

Everything was great. The staff was really kind all time during our staying. Location is amazing in front of the sea.

The bathroom was a problem, it is toooooo small and when you take shower, the whole bathroom gets wet. It is really disturbing if you have too dry the whole bathroom after each shower taken. There is a curtain , but it’s not enough, also the shower is right over the toilet, so not nice. Something should be done there

We had a lovely stay! Kefalos is a peacful place and hotel Kokalakis is situated in a very good part of it. Only 1 min from the sea, shops and tavernas. The breakfast was amazing !!! Its a small hotel but the variety was excellent. Everything fresh, local, made with love❤️ Felt like having breakfast at home!

We spent 10 beautiful days in this hotel. The hotel definitely deserves more than two stars. The rooms are cleaned daily. The breakfast is varied and substantial. The hotel is located in the middle of the resort very close to the beach, restaurants and groceries. Thank you for everything, we will definitely come back!

Everything, since I arrived: the atmosphere and the light of this calm, friendly but elegant hotel. The mornings and the evenings on the beautiful terrace, the quiet pool, the sea view, the beach in a couple of minutes. And, first of all, the kind and super nice owners!!

The hotel is situated across the road from sea front where there are plenty of beach activities. The beach is clean with plenty of sun beds etc tavernas. view is beautiful however the hotel has all you need a lovely pool with sun beds, there is even a washing machine which cost €1 upwards. staff and hotel owner so friendly warm and welcoming .

Best Place for Holiday in Kefalos!

Hotel Kokalakis is almost in middle of Kefalos, 2 min to the beach, 20 min to the village on the top. The most important part of Hotel are the nice and willing owners with very kind staff. Very good accommodation with beautiful swimming pool. Only breakfast, classic small hotel breakfast (buffet). Bar, if you need some coffee, aperitif, digestif or just some refreshment. Big Recommendation! Enjoy your holiday!

This hotel is an absolute gem. Lovely continental breakfast each morning, gorgeous pool, calm atmosphere, really close to the sea and the bus stop for travel to the rest of the island. Wonderful warm hosts who were so welcoming. Our room had air con, a hair dryer, a fridge - everything you could need. This hotel really punches above its 2 star rating. Wouldn’t hesitate to come back!

Amazing stay !!

Everybody and everything ! The perfect located Hotel, the very nice room just in front of the sea/beach. The great swimming pool. The cleanliness of the place in general. The owners who do everything to please you, to help you, to give you good tips, who are always smiling and nice. The staff who is professional, very nice and pleasant. Great breakfast with lots of choice for everybody's taste. The easy going side of the Hotel's life and the feel good feeling.

Wonderful stay with good people.

Breakfast good, across street from beach, atm, restaurants, markets and bus stop. Ocean view. Owner drove us to medical appointment and gave us a quick tour of Kefalos. (Don't miss the completely restored windmill.) Hotel arranged for a shuttle service to the airport (11 Euro per person). Very clean hotel and well maintained. Excellent, caring people.

Not the fault of the hotel; but taxis not available locally. Bus 4 times a day, 3 on Sunday. You can take the bus from Kos town if you know where to get off. Bus driver should know where.

Absolutely lovely hotel. Staff so friendly, couldn't do enough for you. Rooms not huge but more than adequate and very clean. Great views and near the beach, bars and restaurants. Lovely pool and gardens. Staff very helpful about trips etc. Go to the volcano on Nisyros, great day trip. Will definitely be going back.

A perfectly situated hotel in the quiet village of Kefalos. The friendly owners, always helpful and smiling. The rooms are spacious and clean. Nice pool. The hotel is very close to the sea. It is very clean, rooms are cleaned every day. If I come back to Kos, I will definitely choose the Kokalakis hotel again :)

Nice hotel in good location and lovely hostess

Nice small hotel near the sea with lovely pool. Extremely friendly and attentive hostess. Many good restaurants nearby, market just over the street. As the area was not crouded this year, you got good service and attention everywhere. Good place for quiet family vacation.
