Lovely place to stay. Warm and inviting, this property is beautiful. Situated in Kingston's Stockade district, it is 5 minute walk or less to a wonderful downtown area. There are plenty of stores, restaurants and things to do. My room was the size of a small apartment with all the amenities. It was a perfect spot to spend a few days. Would definitely come back here again!

Great location in Kingston. Property owners were the best in helping us out in every way!

The restoration of the old building now operating as the Wiltwyck is a beautiful site in itself. The owners were very helpful and courteous, adding to our thorough enjoyment of Kingston.

Charming, back in time, responsive staff

Great location, no breakfast, kind of buggy, missing some amenities that would have made it better-access to ice, steep stairs, bathroom ledge to hold cosmetics, desk.
Might’ve been the season but we had quite a few bugs that we killed.

Wonderful accommodations and wonderful people. It was very quiet, perfectly maintained historic building within mere blocks of downtown with plenty to do and see. Can’t say enough about this place. It’s independently owned and operated, and the property and all of the amenities are right for a comfortable stay. Don’t hesitate!

Beautiful historic home! We only stayed one night, but the location couldn't be better. Everything was walkable in the Kingston Stockade district. The downstairs apartment was clean, comfy, and we loved the art.

Excellent staff and beautiful room, quiet and very good coffee!

No paper towels or napkins. No extra blanket. Thank God for the fans in bedroom.

It was beautiful. The woman in charge was so nice. Very very pretty room. Thoroughly enjoyed it.
I’m sure they are tired of hearing about the practically hidden driveway.
Couldn’t don’t the light switch for over head light in the sitting room.

Delightful. Most comfortable bed in the world. I wouldn't recommend for people who have trouble with stairs. For those who do stairs, there is an excellent handrail. Very clean and aesthetically interesting. Very nice proprietors. Would definitely stay here again. Great part of town to explore.

We loved that this designated historic property is in a historic district - barely half a block from NYState's first senate house! - and maintains a historic "feel" while offering contemporary amenities. Loved the suite style accomodations. The friendly but unobtrusive hosts were always available to help or explain things and told us where to find dining nearby - within easy walking distance, and interesting facts about the town's development.

I was in the lower level suite with king size bed, living room and kitchen. It certainly went beyond my expectations and was very affordable. The historic house is beautifully renovated with attention to detail. To Make matters even better , there's an unbelievable French restaurant one block away. In addition it is in a very safe neighborhood.
I highly recommend this property unless you have any mobility issues. The driveway is incredibly steep as are the stairs. If you have someone to drop you at the front door and have a room on the main floor you would only have a few stairs.

Location was great. Felt very cozy.

If you like traditional home you will love this spot. Comfortable bed, great shower, great coffee.
However the room we booked was on the 2 nd floor. With no elevator might be a challenge to those with ambulatory issues. Not sure if any available rooms on the ground level . Also parking is in a lot down a steep hill … again not for an elderly couple. Homeowners could not have been nicer and were so helpful and kind on all issues

Charming BnB near stores and restaurants. We enjoyed the antique look of the property, it felt like home. Will go back for sure.

Lovely historical home. Only note is that there is only one parking spot per reservation. So if you’re meeting someone, one of you will need to find parking elsewhere.

I stayed two nights - a different room each night. They were spacious and cozy - and the location is fantastic! Also really cool artwork floating around the place. I very much recommend this spot!

This was an awesome place to stay the night in Kingston. We saw a show at Tubby’s, and the mile-ish walk was a pleasant one from the property, it’s in a great spot. Check in/out was easy, and the rooms were clean and had a good vibe to them. I would absolutely stay again!

We loved it!
We visited 1 night on the way home to Canada from Florida. The Wiltwyck Inn, an historical building, is situated in the heart of Kingston, the first capital of New York State, close to the trendy little restaurants and historic landmarks in the area. It was a great change from the regular hotel room. The lovely hosts, Julie and Sean, were accessible on site and very helpful. We had a charming, clean and cosy basement unit consisting of a full, equipped kitchen and dining area, living room, bedroom (very comfortable bed) and bathroom. Truly a wonderful place to stay. We would definitely love to revisit the Wiltwyck for a longer stay so as to discover some of the national treasures of this little town.

The photos are not representative of the actual condition and comfort of the property. It is not private or appropriate for a professional or comfortable stay.

The location to the shopping and dining is walkable. One thing to remember when staying here, is that you are staying in someone’s home. It has personality, because it’s someone’s home. There is plenty of privacy, but if you’re looking for the “front desk/room service” kind of stay, this is not for you

Clean, convenient and quiet. Would stay again.

The Wiltwyck was a charming, cozy, comfortable, clean and convenient place to stay. Such a nice change from the cookie cutter impersonal world of chain hotels. Excellent value too. A quick walk (like two blocks) to the little downtown afforded lots of good restaurant options and we found an amazing taqueria that everyone should try! Also a grocery store nearby if you want to cook in the kitchen of the little apartment. I would definitely stay again.

The building is a part of Kingston's history and is on the National Register of Historic Landmarks. The owners have been careful to preserve its original looks, with its multi-story brick walls, brownish-black flagstone front porch and steps and its stately interior rooms. Our first-floor lodging, with its high ceilings, majestic, tall windows and heavy, white trim on its doors and windows were obviously the original components of this structure, along with its hardwood floors. We enjoyed a comfortable, quiet bedroom, private bath and connected stateroom. One's first impression might be that this place is old and needs to be updated, but then you realize that this building was lovingly made by craftsmen of prodigious skills and meant to last for many generations. It is solid, well-cared-for and the longer you stay there, the more you appreciate how well it is made and how different, in a good way, it is from the cramped, cookie-cutter lodgings in a Best Western, or Holiday Inn. One feature -- or lack thereof -- is that there is no elevator. Obviously, back in the day when this was built, there were no such things. It is a climb up a rather long stairway, if you book second floor lodgings. But if you are in good health, it should not be a problem. And the owners are only too happy to carry your luggage. Big pluses: You are a short walk from great eateries -- Italian, Greek, Asian fusion, delis, coffee shops and many others. We will stay at the Wiltwyck again.
