Cute stay close to nature.

Very nice comfortable house with personal touches all around. The restaurant downstairs was great and the breakfast fulfilling. It was especially great to see the hiking trails that go by the house.

The parking space was a little bit tight for a larger car.

Good bathroom, the schnitzel is delicious at the restaurant

The apartment becomes suffocatingly hot at night. The building looks a better on photos. Very poor service at the restaurant: when we tried ordering food, the order was never reported to the kitchen and we learnt about it only in one hour. Then we ordered again and it took them 40 minutes to cook our dishes. The food was packaged for take away even though we never asked for it. Nobody ever apologized for anything. The other problem we had is the proximity of a nearby buy small beer shop that attracts a lot of noisy folks. The hotel has very poor noise cancellation and we've been hearing loud noises coming from a loud party at the restaurant and then the inner yard till midnight. Security is also a concern as the apartment key also unlocks the entrance to the hotel

there was a self serve bar in the parking lot

everything was 7+ years older then in the pictures. wifi didn’t work well, everything was dusty. basically there are some rooms just in the back of the restaurant, the hallway had beer kegs just lying around. just don’t expect much.

cozy place to one-night stay

The room is tiny but super cozy and laconically designed, good and clean bed and bed-dress, clean light room, tea and drinking water in the room. Tourist guides (printed materials) made it possible to learn more about interesting places around. A big parking nearby as well as fireplace, camping place and self-service facility where you can get many kinds of beer, snacks, tee, coffee. It gives an opportunity to spend time in a company of friends without noise restriction from people staying at the hotel.

You are a little diamond.

Penzion na Grunte is very pet friendly, clean,cosy, modern and tidy with everything we needed. It is very convenient to have a fridge and little kitchen with private bathroom in the room along with a kettle and hospitality tray. Communication with the hotel is very good and helpful. The staff go over and above to make you feel welcome and I can’t recommend this place enough. Very reassuring to have management on site all the time. Excellent and top standards with plenty of woods around if you need to take your furry friends for descent walk. Keep up the good work Penzion na Gurte. You are a little diamond. Thanks for making me and my pupps feel so very at home. Definitely I will stay there for my next visit.

Recommended for high quality of the accommodation and value for money

It has a generous-sized, free car park separated from the main building by a small access road for a few cottages. Entrance and check-in is done at the bar, the furthest door from the car park. You will walk through a small beer garden before you get there. Once inside there is a small pub/ restaurant selling some local speciality beers – more expensive than normal for the Czech Republic, but well worth sampling if you like beer. The restaurant serves very good home-made food. I had a Czech pub staple – marinated Hermelin cheese. This was imaginatively served in a glass jar and the portion was generous and well-flavoured. At the back there is an attractive small garden, which you will pass on your way to a discrete entrance reserved for the use of guests only. We stayed in the loft-style family room comprising two double beds with a partition between them, a small kitchen and dining area and bathroom offering both shower and bath. The décor was simple white and wood and finished to a high standard, the beds comfortable and everything spotlessly clean. For the price paid, it represented fantastic value for money.

Nothing really bad about this place. On the Booking.com website, it stated that breakfast was available for an additional 80 crowns (CZK) in Czech money (about £2.80 at time of writing) but on enquiring, we were told it was 100CZK. It might be as well for someone to update this information. It didn't matter, with the kitchen in our room we were able to prepare our own.
