This spacious home is located in the heart of Wausau in a historic neighborhood one block off the main Street. (Grand Avenue). The Curling Club is a few blocks over. Most everything is just10-15 minutes away at most. Watch the world class Kayak Races. Or attend the many great local events coming up including; The Hot Air Balloon Festival and Wings Over Wausau Air Show just to name a few. Or minutes to Sylvan Hill to go tubing with tows or cross-country skiing. Hit the slopes at Granite Peak. 1 Infant up to 1 year of age stays free - Pack n play, booster seat and 2 baby gates are available. Do not list infant in number of guests when reserving the home- please mention when you email. Infant is included in our guest limit of 10 persons. On the main floor one bedroom (Queen Bed). Living Room, Full Bath, fully equipped Kitchen, Large dining room, Laundry Room, Office Space. Screened in back porch. Grill & completely fenced yard. Upstairs front bedroom (one queen bed). Back bedroom (one queen bed). Middle bedroom (3 twin beds) and full Bath. All bedrooms have ample storage, closets & dressers. A well behaved dog is considered with PRIOR APPROVAL . Flat screen TV in living room with Net Flix /Sling Cable Channels & wireless internet. Large dining room table for everyone to gather together, You could also use the banquet table that would seat eight. (Banquet table is available upon prior request). A great way to save by hosting a wedding or bridal shower at the house. If you would rather not cook just have it catered in. If you plan to host an event at the house please let me know what you need and I will do my best to help. Casual Family restaurants near by -about1 block. Walk to Memorial park, boat landing, New swimming pool with big tube slides! fishing, Frisbee golf. Kwik Trip 5 minutes away. Enjoy a wonderful winter weekend- Ski Granite Peak. Parking available for about 5 mid sized cars in driveway. We can't make any guarantees regarding any events, businesses or activities being available or open during your stay. Please contact them directly for details or to register. Street parking is allowed during the summer months. We've always taken great pride in providing a clean ,comfortable home for our guests. We know this is more important than ever right now. I want you to know we take the trust you place in us very seriously. We have implemented additional cleaning and as recommended by the CDC and Health depart. wiping all the( touch spots)to include all door knobs, door / drawer pulls / light switches/ remotes/lamps etc. in the house with disinfectant. We had a great stay at this clean, beautiful, comfortable and spacious home. The location was Great! Very well stocked and the host provided lots of nice extras. Walked over to a nearby restaurant for breakfast and in the afternoon made a quick drive to explore Granite Peak. We look forward to coming back in the near future for a longer stay.

The house was fantastic. Melissa was very responsive. Part of our group skied and we hiked at granite peak. Mom/Gram stayed at home and watched TV. Nice place to disconnect

This is one of the best properties I have stayed in. The attention to detail, comfort, safety and thoughtful provisions were all very much appreciated. I had my dogs with me and bowls, dog towels, waste bags, treats and furniture covers were all delightfully provided. The back yard was clean and secure. The flowers, danish and milk in the refrigerator were very much appreciated. Instructions were clear, the home was clean, comfortable and all of the linens smelled fresh. I will definitely book this property again when I’m in the area.Thank you Melissa for your pre arrival communications and making my stay so enjoyable.

This Wausau property checked all tho boxes for our group. It was clean and all the little touches made us feel right at home. The little notes updated us on what was expected from the owner and the house’s little quirks. If my group decides to go back to Wausau again we would stay in the Vrbo in a heart beat.

The Yawkey Museum was excellent! We thoroughly enjoyed each exhibit. The weather was great - Oct 20 - peak colors.
The house was super clean and adequate in every way. Not fancy but solid.

The house was very clean! Two comments - the description should list that the AC upstairs is dependent on one window unit and we were unable to adjust the thermostat below 72 degrees. The shower curtain on the upstairs shower should be changed to opaque on the window side.
Otherwise, the house was charming, functional and clean.

Melissa is the most amazing host. The house was immaculate and stocked with towels, snacks, coffee, teas and even a spare toothbrush (which was needed)! Owner communication was spot on and so appreciated. I will definitely be back again!

We really enjoyed our stay at this comfortable and cozy home. We were visiting family and attending nearby events so the location was perfect. We experienced a welcoming environment with all of the conveniences offered. Great neighborhood for walks. We enjoyed our stay!

Booked the house for the 4'th of July weekend with my family. I was planning on going to Target to grab a coffee grinder, but I didn't need to because there was one there for us already. The entire house was basically equipped this way. The host made many intentional efforts to make our stay much nicer than the average house that I'm used to booking.
The house also has a lot of charm and was both bigger and nicer than I thought I'd get from the pictures.

We booked this as a “last minute” trip for a funeral. Having not been in Wausau for a long time and limited choices with a pet, we took a chance and it was worth it. Melissa is a great host and answered all of our questions before booking. The location is easy to access all parts of Wausau and is in a quiet neighborhood. The house had all the amenities we needed and everything was in order with even a few extras; a nice touch indeed. The rooms are large and there was plenty of space for our family. I can see how the laundry area would be a real plus for the ski season as there is plenty of space along with a large, heavy duty rack for hanging things. This is a kid friendly house for sure with a kid size play table inside and a playhouse outside. Our dog was well secured in the back yard with no worries of her getting loose. Dog supplies were also on hand which we rarely find in other places we have stayed. We encountered a few mishaps of our own fault and Melissa was still very understanding and easy to work with. We will definitely look to book this house on our next visit to Wausau (assuming she will host us again ). Thank you Melissa for being a great host!!

My group had a great experience staying at this property due to its large size and and high level of comfort. Bedrooms had fans in the closet for use, the kitchen was large and appropriately furnished, and we loved the comfortable living room and the streaming services in the tv. We are definitely going to stay here again and thank Melissa for the great communication.

Nice place to stay in Wausau. We stayed here for a curling tournament and it was a perfect place. Plenty of room, close to the club, and the host was fantastic. Highly recommend!

We head up to Wausau every year to ski Granite Peak and I have to say, by far, this has been our best place yet. It's not that the others were bad, it's just that this one was that nice. It was very clean, good amenities, the owner was very responsive and on top of everything it is a short 10 minute drive to the slopes. The title really says it all. I really can't say enough about this place. If you are heading to Wausau and need a place I would highly recommend Melissa's house.

Great older home about 10 minutes from Granite Peak. Melissa was a wonderful hostess. Coffee, tea, condiments, hot cocoa, dog treats, toiletries and more made this VRBO like a home away from home. Would book again if we went back to Wausau.

Wonderful home to come back to after a day of skiing. Many extras such as cookies and wine waiting for us. Melissa was very accommodating and easy to get a hold of. We would highly recommend and hope to be back.

We loved this house. Spacious rooms, comfortable beds and a fully appointed kitchen. The host thoughtfully left cookies, fresh flowers, cooking oil, milk and countless other details to make our stay easy and comfortable. Though the house is old, everything worked well and it was immaculate. We will happily stay here again.

What a lovely home! Very clean, bright, welcoming. Melissa is a great host. She had muffins waiting for us, wine and even treats for our dogs! And fresh flowers on the table. She kept in touch with us while in town and was there if we needed her. The location was great for us as I was doing family research in Wausau. And it's still close enough for the recreational things we did.

We booked this property in January for a trip in July/August for our yearly cousin visit. My cousin and her family live in Wausau but decided to join us for a staycation and so our daughters could spend the days/nights together. The amount of space and the bedroom setups were absolutely perfect for our trip. A small backyard BBQ was a wonderful way to spend time with some other family members who also live in the area on our first night. Lots of little touches made this trip really carefree. We luckily did not forget any items, but Melissa made sure we were stocked with emergency toiletries if need be. The beds were comfy, kitchen was fully stocked, and our pups were welcomed! The only thing I would change is to have access to the thermostat, but Melissa was more than willing to lower the AC temp when I reached out. We will definitely consider booking again!

Clean, Clean, Clean
This home was extremely clean. Melissa went out of her way to make sure we were comfortable. She had a few kind gestures to welcome us (6 sisters for the weekend) to her rental. If we come back to Wausau next year, we will MOST CERTAINLY rent from her again!! Thank you!!

AMAZING Owner and Property
The owner, Melissa, is very responsive, accommodating and friendly. She made sure we had all we needed for infant, went over and above while leaving milk in the frig, cookies for kids, fresh flowers on dining table. If we ever find ourselves visiting this area again, I won't even search for a property. My go to is Melissa. Check out her property, you will not be disappointed. Thank you Melissa! Wonderful Host and Property
This property was even better than expected! The host thought of everything from dog treats to a cute 4th of July cake with wine. Not to mention she checked in on us to make sure our stay was going well and to see if there was anything more she could do to make it better. There were plenty of clean linens, toiletries, etc. The inside of the house is spacious and the original wood throughout is gorgeous. We spent most of our time outside in the fenced in yard with our dogs playing yard games which was nice. This was a great place to get away from the hustle and bustle of the twin cities. There were also a lot of great places to eat as well but too many to try in just one long weekend. We would love to come back here again!

We loved our stay at this property! The home is very spacious and was perfect for our family of 5. Great location, very cute, and well stocked with towels, toiletries, etc. The host even had cookies and milk for us at check in. Lovely, quiet, rejuvenating
Our family had a wonderful time at Melissa's home in Wausau. It was spacious and comfortable with everything we needed to enjoy ourselves on a family vacation. I especially loved waking up early, taking in the quiet morning light in the beautiful living room.
