The location
The bedrooms were dirty and full of spiders and cobwebs.

The venue is amazing - the pool facilities are fantastic, the restaurant is amazing along with the farm shop. The cottage was lovely and had everything you need.
The dishwasher was full of black mould, I emailed the first night to highlight this and wasn't contacted about it.

Geat location only 20 minute walk from the Tor
Cottage furniture seem to have seen better days

My stay at Middlewick Holiday Cottages completely exceeded all of my expectations and I can't wait to go back.
The site was stunning with amazing views, so tranquil and peaceful.
The farm shop and cafe were amazing with great food options, including lots of vegan options.
The location was perfect for walking with a great view of the Tor.
Bookable swimming slots where you get the whole pool to yourself at no extra cost.
The glamping pod was so comfortable with everything we could have wanted and a private bathroom a very short walk away.

Fantastic location, very friendly helpful staff, homeleycottage. A lovely short stay
Nothing!!

The glamping pod is very cosy and lovely, in the middle of nature with a stunning view of the Tor.
Very nice coffe shop with groceries available to buy and a great choice for breakfast. It’s my second time here and I will come back again for sure. 100% recommended.

Overall a really lovely place with friendly staff, amazing views and great location
In the cabin, the windows in the roof had no blinds so the room was very bright from the early hours of the morning

The location was brilliant to get to sites, towns, and anywhere. The view from the pod was brilliant and all the staff were very friendly. Other guests chatted away, and everything was provided and clean. The farm shop had great supplies, and the full English breakfast was magic.
Maybe a little key hook would be handy in the pod to hang the pod key and car keys.

location is brilliant with a tor view and not overcrowded but still very close to town. lovely cabin we stayed in and definitely coming back
minor details really- tap in a kitchen a little loose and not enough plugs to charge appliances. also could do with a little salt and pepper in the kitchen and creamer for tea and coffee when people first arrive. but all in all absolutely amazing

Lovely location, cute little E-den/pod. The spa was fantastic, my massage/facial was one of the best i've had.

beautiful contemporary living space. home from home.

Loved everything really. Staff, location. Great place!
To be a little picky for the sake of the review the power shower was not strong and I couldn't fully stand up in the shower.
4.5
The cabin was very nice, comfortable bed and small kitchenette so you could make your own basic meals. Lovely tea and coffee. Location was fab we walked to Glastonbury and back with fabulous views.
The farm shop is a little over sold for getting everything you need which was disappointing. I needed gluten free options and was told the bread was in the freezer. In the end we had to travel to a supermarket and takeaway as there was no gf pasta and the meat was mainly frozen.

Great location, lovely place, very family-friendly. Great swimming pool. Shop on site is good.
Would be great to have some oil / salt / paper in the kitchen. Check in is 3:30 and the shop on site closes at 4:00 so a bit tricky to manage for families who wants to actually use the kitchen and cook some dinner

Bramley cottage was lovely tho the shower is a bit cramped If you’re tall. C comfy king size bed & beautiful views, loved the easy electric log burner too & access to the back gardens.
The pool was a bit disappointing without a shower to use, meant you had to dry off pool water get dressed & go back to your cottage to shower. There is a wet room shower there but this is for ‘spa’ use ie if you’re paying for a massage. For any pool with multiple use it’s basic hygiene to have a shower before & after using it. Also the lock on the pool door got jammed whilst we were using the steam room (situated inbetween it & the pool so we were literally locked out from our towels & had to yell to passers-by for help to get back in. We’ve been staying at Middlewick for many years & love the cottages, location & new buildings but the pool area needs a shower at least & a better door lock. if not a general upgrade. I miss the King Arthur paintings too.

We loved the cottage. We even thought we'd go back again. The receptionists, though, gave us a change of heart. 🙄
The fact that we didn't get to use the heated pool (which was the only reason why we went for a weekend away during winter) because of the receptionists. Friday night we arrived. Loved the property. Exceptional.
Saturday came, we wanted to use the pool. My husband went to the receptionist (who wasn't very accommodating at all), asked if we could use the pool. She said we needed to book, that the pool will be closed at 3pm, and that their system was down so she couldn't book us. Promised to book us for Sunday morning, between 8-10am. She asked to wait for a confirmation email regarding our time slot. Not a single email arrived even until Sunday morning.
Sunday arrived, our last day and time to check out at 10am. My husband went to the reception to ask for our time slot as we didn't get a n email. Noone was there. He came back and there was a new receptionist on duty. Same thing as Saturday, she couldn't open their system straight away. She told my husband she will knock on our door and let us know. A few moments have passed, it was almost 10am, she knocked on our door and said that the pool was already fully-booked and that as part of the inconvenience of waiting, she'll let us pack our bags and leave at 10:30, instead of 10am. Because of that, both our kids cried as they weren't able to swim. We had to change their clothes as they were wearing swimming suits, and were waiting for a slot since the day before.
We were shocked that the receptionist even had the cheek to say that! Although annoyed with the staff and the situation, we left the property in a great and clean condition. I don't think they can ever say anything bad about our stay there as guests.
Overall, although the place was nice, we will not go back due to poor guest relations services.
We looked for another place to go to for a swim before heading back home to compromise with our ruined weekend plans...

Beautiful location - had some wonderful walks with Bobby and some quality time with family in Street just a short drive away - apart from the first night due to a terrified dog away from home we both slept well - comfortable bed and quite sound proof . pool was nice too an added bonus and lovely friendly guests - loved the drums from the tor as the sun went down - found the avalon trees just a short walk through the horses field - lived in the area for years never knew they existed ! came home totally chilled would definately stay again
Smoke alarm flashed all night every night irritating but got used to it and fridge was very dated I would assume they would be updated to an A rating by now or be PAT tested ?? otherwise it was perfect

The location and surrounding views are lovely. The complex is really nice although a little confusing when you first arrive. The staff are all friendly and helpful. The pod we stayed in was nice and clean and the bathroom facilities. The food at 5he farm shop is very nice.
We had massages and reiki at the spa which I would highly recommend. A lovely experience.
Unsure where to check in.
More lighting around the pod area or provide a torch for the night bathroom visits.
Possibly some sort of canopy over the washing up area.

Very cool pod, good layout, excellent surroundings, brilliant view of the tor.
10am checkout, would’ve preferred 11.
