We needed a break from the daily life and this place is perfect for that.
Close to the river with nature around and all alone to treat ourselves.
Staff was really nice and was ready to take care of us.
Not the last time we will spend time there to recharge our batteries 😁

Beautiful gardens surrounded by nature. Wonderful welcome by staff. Friendly and attentive staff—quickly responded to any need we had.
A little far from town or 7-Eleven or market.

Thank you very much for the great time at Mekong Villa, Khun Apinja & family team are very, very friendly, careful, discreet, helpful and thus make this place something very special. Meals are served on the private terrace and are very tasty and authentic. So we had a lot of romantic dinners! Many thanks for this great service! The location is quite remote but excursions can be organised. Phak Chom can be reached quickly, Chiangkhan in about 35 minutes. For us, the privacy and seclusion was just right. the Mekong View is verry nice.
Best regards !

Bed is a bit too hard - Topper would help.

From the moment we arrived we made to feel welcome. The staff were extremely friendly , efficient and thoughtful. The room was just fabulous. The location looking out over the Mekong was sublime. It was a true retreat. The included breakfast was extremely good, tasty and so plentiful. It is easy to order a lunch if required and the evening meals area must. We did not have transport so it made sense to eat our evening meals on the balcony looking at the Mekong. The staff lit candles for us to make it even more special. The whole property is beautiful with magnificent gardens, views, a lovely pool and a few kms to Pak Chom. The staff were the best. So so friendly. We could not have been treated better. We would like to make special mention of Apinya the manager who took her role so seriously and made every effort to ensure our happiness at all times. We would highly recommend these Villas for a peaceful, restful stay away from chaos. A true retreat.
It was a distance without a. Car or anything but we didn’t need to do much more than go fro a walk.

Loved everything about this place! The private log cabin was great with an amazing view of the Mekong. The location is very peaceful and quiet and you´re surrounded by nature. The hosts were very kind and helpful. The breakfast was kindly delivered to the cabin and was able to enjoy it on the patio overlooking the river.

The property was beautiful. We had the family suite with 3-bedrooms. We had dinner twice and lunch once and the food was great. It was a very chill place overlooking the Mekong.
It takes 30 min to Chiang khan so if you want to spend time there, it can be a lot of back and forth but it was okay for us.

Location excellent, evening meal was very nice, hot hot showers, staff very friendly, room cleaning very good.
Mekhong Villas are not for everybody, if you want tranquility, peace and quite, somewhere to de-stress then it ticks all these boxes. But please be aware of my negative review. Shame really, as this place could be amazing.
Decent A/C, also Wifi at 10mb in room so not bad at all.
Breakfast for the money was not good. The American Breakfast was just awful, the congee was boring as well. The presentation was superb but massively let down by the food. They would be better replacing with a continental breakfast with fruit, yoghurt, croissants, toast etc. Also, like others have said the bed was rock hard, I really struggled to get to sleep.
No Western food choices, so you are stuck if you only want Thai food.
No bar service in the day, really lacking this as there is nothing around so you have to take your own drinks & snacks, which is something else you don't expect to do for the price point.

An authentic, beautifully located, Thai style villas right on the Mekong river with just garden, jungle and river bank around you. Just a perfect break from the hustle and bustle of Thailand whilst in such an iconic spot. Not to be missed.
It was just a perfect spot to contemplate the mighty Mekong river and relax. A little more investment in comforts (mattress was a little hard and could benefit from a soft topper, and in the midday heat some fans would bring relief) would go a long way to persuading one to never leave!

Staff is cordial and tries to accommodate everything we ask for. Garden is manicured with good selection of plants and variety of produces. Great location on the bank of Mekong River.
Hot water took a long while to come through the cold pipe during the cold season. This is understandable. Getting in and out the venue can be harzadous for riders as it sits right on the road bend and hill, but once arrived one would never want to leave this haven.

Amazing view, garden, design, team, food
Water could be warmer, diner more flexible in terms of size
