About this apartment rental
Villa Luisella is a charming villa, situated in the heart of the medieval Etruscan city of Cortona, a short walk from the central square, with breathtaking views over the surrounding countryside till the shores of beautiful Trasimeno Lake. The villa's peculiarity is the garden, perfectly set between the walls of ancient palaces, a real rarity in the heart of the city. Belvedere is a cosy apartment, situated on the ground floor in the alley below, and it's perfect to host 2 people. It's composed of a double/twin room with private bathroom, living area with fully equipped kitchen and dining room. The garden is ideal to spend pleasant moments of relaxation, read a book or sunbathe in absolute privacy.

The advertisement was not accurate, many photos were not our apartment, bed was awful many springs, shower wall leaked, had to move appliances around to get to plugs, only one towel per person for a week!, advertised parking then parking nearby-1/4 mile not nearby, out door lounge and chair ripped, wood chaises had no cushions-could not sit on them, some lights did not work, dim bulb at sink very difficult to shave or put on makeup, one roll of toilet paper??- rediculous, many outdoor steps not mentioned in ad- difficult for older persons, bracket for shelf in bath there but no shelf- leaving no place for toiletries. We left early and would like a refund, at least you should remove them for your list of properties you support. Emialed management before our leaving and never had a response! Certainly would worry about going thru VRBO again. I look forward to hearing from you.

Lovely apartment in an absolutely adorable Tuscan town. 1BR basement apartment below another larger rental home. Separate steel gated entrance, plus lockable outer levered doors. Apartment was true to pictures, including the patio furnishings, umbrellas, etc. though only one table and chairs (but its only a 1BR apt anyway?). Shower did not remotely leak at all as I had read in another review? Kitchen was very well furnished. Unbelievably gorgeous views from your own private terrace in a quiet area for relaxing days or evenings. Great wifi inside and out. Easy 5 minute walk to the central square, grocery, restaurants (some hills). My only suggestion might be a dehumidifier or moisture absorber to help with some of the natural basement stuffiness. I left the doors open most times and it was fine. Also, the sidewalk light was out when I was there (likely the town's responsibility) so hopefully that is fixed soon. Highly recommend. Excellent value for the money.

The pictures don't quite do justice to the beauty of the villa. From the stairs to the villa from the downtown street, to sipping espresso on the balcony, we had a wonderful stay.

Francesca was very kind and communicative, though I did not have service close to the town and therefore getting there was hard. The flat is clean and has a great view but is also quite dark, which is good for sleeping in!
It would have been nice to have better directions for arriving at the flat and explanations of the no driving zones (ZTL). After the first day we chose to park in the free parking lot outside the city (Spirito Santo) and walk in rather than navigate the VERY narrow and steep streets.
Also be aware that you have to pay for heating the flat and water for showers, if it's under €10 (ours was less).

Steps, slope, and location make it hard to get to if you have any walking issues. Other than that its really nice

Lovely place but very small. Will likely rent upstairs in the future. Doors need oiling and plastic outdoor furniture needs to go. Teak chairs were great. Would recommend for short stay.

My only complaint is to be sure to check your What’s Ap and “ Unknown Senders.” On your Messages. We arrived and did not know the management reached out to me to ask when I was arriving. I arrived and could not get a key, had to call VRBO to contact management. Two hours later, someone came to the house to give me a key. They also do not give you a house number so you have to find the main house 48 and the apartment is to the right down a path and you will see a metal gate door behind the main house. The apartment is behind the metal gate door. Also, two coffee machines but no coffee. Otherwise it is fantastic.
