Property was nicely updated with a nice small garden in the back. Bus literally comes right outside your door. Short walk to the heart of things, but there are several restaurants right across the street which are all great.

This house has a beautiful garden and great location. Perfect for a weekend in Oxford

This property is in a great location! It had plenty of
space for our family of 4 adults and two children. The bus from Heathrow dropped us off in front of the door. The backyard was a beautifully kept, quaint area away from the bustle of the street.
4.0 / 5.0
This property was the only one in Oxford that fit our needs, we were 5 adults needing 3 bedrooms. The location was convenient but at times challenging to get in or out of because there’s a bus stop by the front door.
The first surprise was the emails from the property management asking us to put out the previous guest’s garbage because we were checking in on Wednesday. When we arrived in the evening, clearly someone had done it.
Then there were the spiral staircases that were very narrow and steep. No one fell, but there were many conversations about the potential.
Finally, there was nothing extra anywhere. In the kitchen there was one towel available and when we spilled water, that towel was wet and dirty. We had just enough bath towels for the stay but should we have needed an extra for some reason there were none.
We’ve traveled and stayed in many such rentals and this stay was unique. It was comfortable but the above mentioned items did make the stay more challenging!

Overall we were very satisfied with the location of the property. It was a short walk to Magdalen Bridge and then central Oxford with the colleges and churches. The Angel and Greyhound pub was across the street and was very enjoyable. Sainsbury’s grocery was close by as well. Only once did we use a cab and that was to go to The Perch for a special dinner.
The one drawback was getting to the bedrooms via the very steep and windy stairs. Anyone with advanced mobility problems would be better off elsewhere.

We had a wonderful stay at this location! I highly recommend it if you need to be close to the City Centre. The communication for everything was good, but I agree with other reviewers it can be confusing with so many responses from different people. Since a rental company is in charge of it and not the owner you’re always communicating with different people and getting multiple responses. When someone texts you it is impossible to reply and communicate that way. When reading the reviews we knew it would be loud due to being right on a busy street by a bus stop and that the narrow stairways to the upper floors might be an issue. Therefore, we planned ahead and packed a bag of earplugs and that worked fine. The owner also provided white noise devices but we never took the time to use them. I think they were google devices (?) but we don’t own anything like that at home so we just left them alone. The stairs were indeed narrow but they were fine. Just step on the wide parts, take your time and get another person to help you take your luggage upstairs if it’s heavy. This location was perfect for everything we needed to do, which included visiting Headington and getting to St. Cross College and the Sheldonian for graduation. The 3 bedrooms and two full baths allowed our family to have privacy when needed. I only slept in the third floor room and that bed made you roll to the middle a bit, but we made do since we wanted the 3rd floor all to ourselves with our own bathroom which is right outside that 3rd floor bedroom. The living room, kitchen and garden were wonderful places for family gatherings to chat and relax. We were grateful for the washer and hanging racks. The kitchen had everything we needed and I believe the basic surfaces and dishes were the cleanest VRBO experience we’ve had. Like all VRBO places we’ve been in, this needed a good spring cleaning for baseboards and walls, but I understand a cleaning service doesn't usually keep a rental as clean as I do my own house. The white walls could use a new coat of paint but again, I know most people don’t notice things like that most of the time. The downstairs shower was leaking upon our arrival but wasn’t an issue as the water remained in the shower when the door was closed. When alerted about the problem the office offered to fix it immediately but we said to wait until we were gone. We felt luck to find this place and would stay there again.

The stay would have been nice, but we were counting on having a clothes washer and dryer, as advertised. There was a photo of these in the ad. We had a four year old with us, and we needed to do laundry by the time we arrived. Unfortunately - there IS no clothes dryer. We had to resort to purchasing a clothesline and hanging our wet and damp clothing outside in the garden.

Location: The home is on a very busy street with a bus stop right outside the front door. Pros are of course there's a lot close by, you are walking distance to the main area, and it's very easy to hop on a bus. Cons are it can get a bit noisy and there's nowhere for a taxi to pull over right in front of the home so you'll need to unload all your luggage about a block away on a side street.
Layout: The set up of the home is a bit awkward and no one has addressed this in their reviews. There is one very narrow and steep staircase at the front of the home leading up to a bedroom on the 2nd floor and then up one more flight to another bedroom and bathroom. Be aware that the floor on the 3rd story bathroom is very sloped. At the rear of the home off the kitchen there is another set of less scary stairs that goes up one flight to another bedroom (no bathroom).
Amenities: the outdoor garden is absolutely the best feature of this home. It's so lovely and welcoming. It was nice that there was a crib (BYO linens) and high chair available. We found plenty of plates, cups, silverware for 6. The washer/dryer was broken during our visit, but the property manager did offer to reimburse us for the cost of having our laundry done nearby which was nice. We weren't able to take advantage of that due to the limited hours and long turnaround time of the cleaners, but did appreciate that they tried to make it right.
Communication: I found this very confusing. Some of the communication came through the Vrbo inbox, some came by email but from multiple people. I would urge the Property Management to have one single point of contact and put everything in the Vrbo app so there's no hunting around. Also be aware that they will ask you to submit your ID and be verified through a third party service prior to your stay.
Overall the home had everything we needed for our stay and provided a nice base for exploring Oxford but you have to go in knowing it is quite quirky and take special caution if traveling with children (or after a night of drinking!). Definitely not recommended for those with any mobility challenges, the elderly, and who are not surefooted.

Truly a lovely place - the garden was fantastic. Great to have 3 proper bedrooms, my teens loved that they had their own rooms with desks and excellent wifi. Great location - an easy walk into Oxford proper and great restaurants close by. I would higly recommend and happily come back. Only downside is the stairs - lots of them and they are narrow. But if that is not a problem (wasn't for us) then you will love this apt.

The bedrooms were roomy and the beds were comfortable but the king size bedding didn’t quite fit.
The kitchen was well equipped but a lot of the crockery was chipped and cracked.
Lovely garden space.
The upstairs bathroom was fine but the downstairs shower room needs attention. The controls are almost impossible to use and the drain needs clearing to allow the water to drain away. The room could do with a bit of a refurb.
The buses at the stop outside the door are very handy, but a little noisy.
Great location for exploring and Carpark is a very short walk.
Overall a great city break.

Property is walking distance of Oxford town centre. Well equipped and nice outdoor spaces at the back. The stairs up to two of the bedrooms are very narrow and steep. It is located on a busy street at a busy bus stop but it didn't really interfere with our stay. Alex was a very good host.

This property lived up to my expectations and the location is wonderful! It's literally right in front of a bus stop, and surrounded by business, we easily walked to the new upskirt theater for a show, and it was easy access to absolutely everywhere we wanted to go. It was extremely clean, had everything we needed, and give us extra peace of mind. I definitely recommend this house
4.0 / 5.0
Great place - a few mins walk from the town centre. Its spacious and well equipped and clean.
It is an old house house - so it has all of the things (that we loved) - like uneven floors, steep staricases etc so bare that in mind.
I would say the communications were a bit complicated - emails and texts from different people about the key information which were hard to find - I would rather it was all communicated in the app so it's easy to find.
Note - there is no free parking - there is a car park 1 mins walk from here which is great, but you have to pay (circa 20GBP per day)

Apartment is an easy walk to the Oxford High Street and a great base to explore the town.

We had a quick stay in Oxford to do the Oxford open house. Before checkin, the owner emailed me directly ALL information I would need for a easy enjoy stay. dining, grocery, and nearby attractions were recommended. Access to the place was very easy. The place was stocked with anything we needed, included fans and sound machines for all rooms. I would recommend this as great location and place to rent. Thanks for the ease of it all. Also it was very clean with great mood lighting which my husband loved.

Location is a 5! Newly renovated! Clean! The write up is unclear. All 3 bedrooms are on second or third level. The bedrooms are 2 queen and 1 king and there are 2 full bathrooms. Lacked instructions for using washer/dryer combo and would be helpful if there was notebook with helpful local information. While manageable, the stairs are steep. Kitchen, dining, and living area is great! The walk to city center is short! Garden in back is exceptional! Would rent the flat again, but those with physical limitations should know about the stairs to all bedrooms. The management was generally quick to respond to requests, so no complaints there. Nothing can be done about it but would have rated it a “5” if we had known about bedrooms being on upper levels and steep stairs. Our group was 66 years and older. Thankfully, we are in pretty good shape and could make the climb. Not having this in write up results in the “4” rating. We enjoyed our stay! And so appreciated the closeness to all the historical locations of Oxford.
