Great journey.

We were only a small group of six (plus one dog) so we had plenty of room in this large house. We chose to stay here owing to its quiet, rural location and large open spaces, although it is only a short drive from several large towns.
It is an attractive property (as shown in the photographs) and the rooms are really spacious; it was clean and comfortable and lacked nothing in the way of facilities or equipment. Great use has been made of the outside spaces where we made the most of the warm summer evenings.
Check-in was straightforward and Stephen was always a quick email away. We only needed to contact him prior to our stay and he responded quickly.
Overall we had a fantastic week here and enjoyed our stay immensely (we wish it could have been longer). We would have no hesitation in staying here again should we return to the area.

The place was excellent. So much so we stayed there instead of going out a couple of days as there was plenty to do and it was big enough for the whole family to do their own thing. I would thoroughly recommend this place.

Large expansive farm property. Lots of indoor and outdoor space for 8 adults and 3 small children. Relaxing time to chill and have family time. Tennis facility was well used and a bonus.

With nine adults and one child, this house was perfect for our group. We found the fireplace and large dining area to be perfect for our reunion. The games room and outdoor ping pong table were also greatly appreciated by our group. In summer, the three different outdoor areas would also be appreciated, however we stayed mainly indoors. Great communication from Stephen when we had questions. Loved our stay. Hope to return some day in the Summer.

A group of friends and I rented this property for a little birthday getaway - and it was everything we could have hoped for. The hosts had everything written out for our arrival - including grocery stores, restaurants, and even the full history of the property - AND they left a bottle of champagne for us! Every room has its own character and we loved being able to use the fireplaces and cook our own dinners! I would recommend this chateau to anyone and hopefully we will return later this year!!!!

We enjoyed our time in Priez, the property was well kept and had everything we needed.

Gite Montmanjeon has a beautiful, rustic and impressive exterior. It's location is fairly isolated in stunning, peaceful countryside. We took the train into Paris from Chateau Thierry, visited Disneyland by car, Versailles by car, Soissons for eating out (Le Clovis restaurant very good) and a champagne cave tour in Epernay. So there is a great combination of rural escapism plus plenty to do nearby; you obviously have to be prepared to drive and navigate!
The interior of the house is seriously spacious (we had a party of 8). My only improvement would be that the downstairs loo is slightly shabby and a bit damp smelling and the 1st floor bathroom is dated. However, everything functions fine. The enclosed courtyard behind the huge kitchen is picturesque and eating under the willow tree is lovely. The BBQ area is fantastic.
Overall we had a wonderful stay. The contrast between urban England and the secluded vineyards of this region of France cannot fail to recharge your batteries.

Lovely, spacious cottage in a beautiful setting. Perfect for two families. Only two qualms - firstly, nobody there to meet us on arrival, and instructions weren't provided in the emails beforehand. Told that Nina would be there, but when we rung the number provided I spoke to someone who didn't speak English, so it took considerable time to locate keys to the cottage. Also, the piano not tuned, slightly disappointing. Otherwise, very nice indeed, would certainly recommend.

Stephen was a fantastic host, the home was beautiful and just what our family was looking for and needed. Country rural setting with simple spacious farm house to match the setting, if you are looking for modern hotel experience this is probably not for you, if you would like to feel like you live in the French country side you don’t want to miss this opportunity. My family and I could not recommend it more, we hope to come back some day!

Great stay, perfect location. This was our second stay at Montmanjeon and was once again a thoroughly enjoyable experience. Spacious, comfortable and inviting in all aspects of what we wanted. Highly recommended for anyone who wants to experience France in a rural setting.

As soon as we arrived everyone stood and looked in awe, amazing, the house had everything we needed and more.
Our two young grandchildren loved their bedroom with the play room.
The garden was great they loved chasing each other around, they were never bored. happy children, happy adults, great holiday.

The pictures do not due this house justice. I stayed here two nights with my sister as it was clearly in the country but less than an hour to Epernay. The kitchen was well equipped and the property had many places to lounge about to read a book under the pear or plum trees. Very relaxing vibe and the village in town has a small grocery and two bakeries. Even better than we expected.

We, me and my husband and our four children, stayed in this quintessential French Country House in July 2012. It was an easy drive from the CDG Airport. We felt we had arrived to a magical place! We simply drove up to the fairytale house, as the children called it. The caretaker met us there and she was lovely, well-organized, and extremely helpful.
The solitude and beautiful countryside made for a welcome rest from our life in a city. The house itself is absolutely gorgeous and is large so we all felt we had enough space. The amenities and supplies were very good and everything was well-organized. The gardens and surrounding fields were picturesque and we loved exploring and walking around the property everyday.
From the house we were able to visit nearby towns like Laon, and Pierrefonds where there is an amazing castle!
We also visited the Domain of Chantilly and saw the Horse Show which the children loved and it was certainly a highlight of our trip. We also were able to visit EuroDisney, the Mercier Cellars in Champagne, Troyes where we ate delicious crepes, and we even went to Belgium for a short visit.
We loved our trip and cannot wait to return to this magnificent property and this part of France!
