About this apartment rental
The 'MARGARET' apartment is fresh and duly cleaned and sanitized (!!); it is located on the 2nd floor (not counting businesses' ground level); there is a ramp and elevator at the main door.
For when you arrive, the hot water boiler is on as will be the fridge with ice, Cava, beer and chips waiting for you. There is air condition available in the living & dining room, ceiling and oscillating fans are in all rooms. All beds have fresh linen, regular and beach towels, cleansing utensils, two ironing boards and iron. For entertainment there is a Sony Bravia flat-screen TV and a satellite receiver for Astra 19.2 with USB, DVD player.
ALSO: Spanish digital TV offers surprisingly many films and 'soaps' in English on audio channel ‘B’.
All bedrooms now have German super-insulated windows with mosquito gauze.
The building is handicap-friendly; an elevator for baggage and 4-6 people. Pool is kept tidy and clear, children's shallow pool is adjacent, so kids are never out of sight; same for softball and recreational areas; free building's Wi-Fi available there, too.
We also have a private WiFi + WLAN router in the apartment, which means faster and more reliable Internet for €1/day.
The front terrace is glassed-in offering a view onto a quiet 1-way side-street; 3 huge sliding windows (2 m² each) allow for breathing the fresh sea air and to enjoy watching the quietly-busy shoppers and beach-goers. It’s just 1-minute walk to post office.
A few steps farther = tapas bars, restaurants: Sushi, Indian food, pizzerias and even German & Swiss steakhouses; same with sand beaches, promenade, chill-out bars and ... more restaurants! French doors open the master bedroom to the back terrace, overlooking the pool and recreational areas.
Summer also offers an in-the-water Toboggan and Fun-Park; two well-accepted 'Chiringuitos': small beach bars in the sand with food and shade next to the softly deepening calm Mediterranean waters.
Have a car? Won't need it much; you are down-town here, yet there is plenty of parking - ALL FREE IN 2020; else with moderate fees (from 9am-2pm and 5pm-8pm; all other hours + Saturday afternoon plus 24h Sun- + holidays) are ALWAYS FREE. And then - across the avenue and also very close-by are hundreds of free parking spaces.
If needed / wanted, paid watched parking is a few walking-minutes away.
There is a cute tourist sightseeing 'train' that will take you up to the Old Town as well as between the large white beaches on either side of the renowned ‘Ifach’. Normal public bus & taxi services and a tram-train to Altea are also available.
For personal attention, Patricia and her husband are available whenever needed (German, English, Spanish); similar, Mon-Sat mornings David, the concierge (Spanish & English) is very helpful knowing pretty much "all about everything", helping with mail, information, minor repairs and etc.
One caveat: it's a non-smoking building and so is the apartment; wild parties are a no-go. A true charge (€1,50...5/day as per intelliMeter) will depend solely on your real energy consumption, determined by your gas and A/C use and how often how many will shower, cook, toast or roast...

Fantastic apartment that had everything we needed for our holiday. The pool is lovely, and the pool area is cleaned every day by a very friendly and efficient concierge. There is little noise from the pool in the afternoon as people respect 'siesta', but it can still be used. We enjoyed mini tennis on the 2 courts in the pool area.
All Calpe's bars and restaurants are on the doorstep, with the old town just a short uphill walk. The fabulous beach is only 200m away. The balcony overlooks the pool, and is off the master bedroom. However, we opened up the sliding doors and enjoyed drinks on the small terrace overlooking the town. Patricia and Ecky were sat having a drink in the restaurant next to the property entrance when we arrived, and could not have been more helpful. This is a spacious apartment, with 3 good sized bedrooms, and the whole building is clean and well cared for. The location was absolutely ideal for us...close to everything including a supermarket.
