About this campground/ rv resort rental
Efficient two bedroom vintage 1963 mobile home with an attached enclosed porch. It's like stepping into a time warp, mostly an original vintage mobile home from 1963. Appointed with some surviving fixtures and furniture. Also includes a separate roofed picnic cookout shelter 20 steps from beautiful Green Pond.
Located on Green Pond, our cottage offers the best of both worlds: an oasis of peace and quiet that is still within striking distance of Portland, Freeport, the White Mountains and the Maine coast.
Our ranch-style cottage sleeps up to six people. There are two bedrooms, a full bath with tub/shower, a three season porch with pullout, separate covered picnic deck area overlooking green pond. Our cottage has a well appointed kitchen with a full stove, refrigerator, microwave and other small appliances. There is a dining and living room with views of the pond and great outdoors. We provide a canoe, kayak, shared paddle and rowboat, gas grill for outdoor cooking and everything you'll need for your getaway except food. We do not supply linens (sheets) and towels. We do provide dish towels/clothes and bath mat/rug.
You can use our cottage as a home base to enjoy maine's blue skies in the summer, peep at spectacular foliage in the fall or ski and snowmobile in the winter.
We are located on the east shore of green pond in the town of oxford, maine. Our cottage sits in a beautiful pine-wooded setting on the shores of spring-fed green pond. The pond's sandy bottom and clear water are great for swimming, canoeing or fishing. Centrally located one hour from portland, freeport and the white mountains, minutes from the oxford casino, shopping, rock hounding, restaurants and the oxford plains speedway and dragway.

This was a really nice gateaway! The best of all is the location with stairs at the lake! My husband, dog and me enjoy it a lot ❤️

This was our second time coming to this location. It's becoming a tradition for us. The host is helpful and friendly, the place is peaceful and the water is gorgeous. So happy we got to spend three days swimming and playing with our dog Sunny Girl. She didn't want to get out of the water. Neither did we. I wish we didn't have to leave. 10/10 location and service. Thanks again for having us!

This is a clean, neat, 1970's vintage home. Comfortable beds. Privacy and pretty water view. Its like camping. Low key relaxing. We loved it!

Even though I didn’t read the part where we needed to bring bed linens, the owner was very accommodating and graciously brought us some. Owner was super quick to answer any questions. Loved the stay!!!

We wanted to spend a long weekend away for my birthday in the woods by a lake or pond. This locations was right on the water and very private. The location itself was a lot bigger than the pictures make it look. Everything was clean and the owner of the property responded to us very quickly when we had questions. The water was crystal clear and the picnic area right outside along with the sunroom is where we spent most of our time. 10/10 location and we plan on going back as soon as we can, and for a longer period of time.

Though the weather was 50s and raining, my boyfriend and I had an amazing time here! The property is simple and peaceful. We felt at home and safe here. The access to the pond was a great addition and we loved canoeing. Would recommend for anyone looking for a nature escape!

The place was suitable and grounds were gorgeous. The prior people had a dog and left the sofa covered in hair. We would certainly stay there again. ( & bring a lint brush!)

I could not get over how quiet it was. Which was perfect. The water is clean and the beach area sandy. I also liked that it was so close to stores and restaurants.

My husband and I enjoyed fishing and taking the canoe out on the water. The water is so clean and clear you can see the big bass swimming around. We had a short stay and the place was perfect for us. Very clean and well kept. Thank you for sharing it with us!

Perfect for our visit to see family. We spent most of the time visiting elsewhere, then came to "our" cozy little place for a good night's sleep.

Thanks be been renting lake houses in Maine for over 15 years. It’s been a bit more difficult since Covid but this was a great place to spend a week. Just the right amount of comfort, cleanliness and simplicity. Friendly owners clean lake Great value too. Will be back.

It would have been a nice stay . . . but
1. There were many dead bugs (flies) in the kitchen sink/counters. It looks like the owner has made their own sanitizing solution by dissolving hospital grade (use by professionals only it says on the bottle) out of date pills. The end result - from what we could see - many small flies all died upon contact with sink. We didn't end up using the kitchen - it was disturbing.
2. It was quiet . . .except that the private dirt road the place is located on had tree work done on Saturday morning - starting at *7 am*. It would have been nice if we had, at least, been told of the tree work rather than find out by loud noise at 7 am. They did finish the tree work by 10 am. . .

It was right on the water and had everything we needed. The owner was exceptional. We will definitely try to stay there again!

We stayed for two nights and it was a very peaceful area. We didn't get to use the canoe that was provided, but everything you needed was provided. We enjoyed the fire pit. The beds were comfortable and everything you need for a pleasant stay was provided.

Rustic trailer right next to the lake. Boating and swimming just outside your front door. Quiet and peaceful location. Outdoor patio offers grilling and dining outside. Very reasonable price.

Let me say if you are looking for a easy get away no bangs or whistles this place works,
The lake spot is wonderful and calming
Very Quiet there - great for swimming - boats, a canoe and row boat provided with life jackets - another plus to enjoy the lake
Along with easy access dock ( exp if you have younger ones it’s perfect )
Peaceful spot all together
The undercover area is a BIG Plus ( we spent our evenings there relaxing and our morning coffee )
Owner was kind - had it open for our arrival -
Easy access to town area -
All you need is provided for kitchen use -
It is simple Accommodations —
But served the purpose for a easy stay —-and cost .
You will yes,! have to clean as you go out the door to check out( all supplies where there ) - per other rentals I’ve had in the past, this was the first time I’ve had to do this type of deep clean for a place ( wasn’t that big of a deal for just the two of us ,
But! !!!! If it’s a family might be more difficult -
Exp If you have small children .
Some of the things could have been better ! ( which is not meant in a negative way )
But rather improvements to a already humble place to stay ,
A gas fire pit ( gas I mention as it’s safer ) could have been there, for chilly nights in the undercover area (rather then across the property wasn’t very Convenient) —
The Inside 😁
Little bit of a musty older smell ,defiantly could use some air freshener and fabreeze —-updating
Bring your own air conditioner as things get moist like bedding - furniture ..etc ..
As I kayaker and Canoe A LOT— I store my boats differently to prevent the following issue ..
Boats had water in them from rain and to use them - we would have needed to get owner to help empty them —turning them over or stored differently would have served better …
Al in all - nice area if your looking to just relax and enjoy the water - fish - boat and take in the Quiet -
It’s the place for you
food -GULLYs soooo good try them right up the road yummy 🤤 recommend the lobster 🦞
Short drive from the place to shops —
The community was super amazing and nice !!
If some of the improvements where made i and the girls would go back for sure —
Defiantly more a guys place lol

Extremely clean nice little trailer on the water. The people were super nice and accommodating. Wishing they had AC for the hot summer nights but they did provide fans. Loved the porch! That is where we spent most of our time. There are a lot of steps to get to the water but the mini beach was private. Water was clear and sandy. Boats were provided but we didn't use them. The picnic area is a wonderful covered place to spend time playing cards and eating. We weren't aware that we would have to clean the place before we left. Just wish we had known ahead of time.

It was raining alot and was disappointed that there was no fire pit on the property and that we had to have our own towels n bedding plus we had to clean everything like floors n disinfect everything

Happy to see how clean it was. Owner Russ was very pleasant and friendly. Would be happy to stay again. Hope I left it as clean, I tried. Just one thing, tv has only 2 channels. Which made me want to be outside , but I got eaten alive by mosquitoes. Bring lots of bug spray, lol.

Truly the prize of this location is Green Pond. We had an absolute blast rowing and floating around in the provided canoe. In fact, we planned every day around ensuring some canoe time. :-) We also brought our bikes which allowed us to bike over to Oxbow Beer Garden for dinner one night (3 miles away) and Pear's Lakeside for lunch (an easy 6 miles away). The kitchen is well stocked with pots and pans and a coffeemaker, toaster, and microwave, etc. There isn't much by way of leftover spices but there is salt, pepper, and olive oil. (I note this only because it is nice to know what's available if you are grocery shopping prior to arrival.)Russ was incredibly communicative and available for our questions. The only thing we wished we would have known prior to arrival is the checkout procedure which included extensive cleaning tasks that required quite a bit of time that we wish we could have mentally and logistically prepared for in advance. Other than that surprise, it was an absolutely lovely stay and we would definitely return!

We loved the idea of having our own "home" for a couple of nights and not a hotel room. This was charming in the vintage sense, Russ was accommodating and helpful and made sure we had everything needed. The WiFi could stand to have improvements however.....it completely cut out on us on the second night. Not a big deal, we should be unplugged anyway! We loved how quiet it was overnight for sleeping, not a peep from anywhere. I would recommend this property for anyone wanting peace and quiet and their own "homey" space.

A few buddies and I stayed here as a base camp to go hiking and canoeing this past weekend. The property was awesome and Russ was super laid back and made sure we had everything we needed. The covered deck on the hill was fantastic; we grilled and hung out in the middle of a rain and heat lightning storm looking out over the lake. Everything was super comfortable inside as well and we’re definitely gonna make our way back.
