The house was perfect for our 3 adult children and their significant others. Large gathering area for nightly card games and covered deck for reminiscing. Each bedroom had its own bath and shower which was a great surprise.
The beach was a good 10 minute walk down the street and across a golf course trail but well worth the hike. The beach was not very crowded and gave us private beach vibes.
We rented a couple of bikes and enjoyed the bike paths that run throughout the Wild Dunes Resort property.
I would highly recommend the house & the Isle of Palms for your next vacation.

My family and I just spent a week on Isle of Palms staying at Sea Sponge. The home is very well equipped, having everything we needed. The kitchen is well stocked, the beds comfortable, and the home was clean. The house is in a nice, quiet neighborhood in Wild Dunes with only a short walk to the beach. The beach itself was very quiet and not crowded at all which was wonderful. I would recommend renting beach chairs and umbrellas because having to take those to the beach each day would be a hassle, especially during the hot summer months. However, there was a wagon at the home which would help.
During our stay, the pool area (located right out the back door of the home) was closed due to circumstances beyond iTrip's control - apparently the pool had been closed since Memorial Day weekend per the health department. iTrip communicated this closure to us about a week before we arrived and gave us a 25% credit for the inconvenience. iTrip also communicated well during the whole process and were prompt to respond to questions we had. The only issue we had was spotty hot water throughout the week (someone did come to look at it, but it probably needs further investigation). It wasn't that big of deal, but worth noting.
Overall, this is a great home for a family - comfortable with beautiful views and well equipped for all your vacation needs.

We met friends here for a week at the beach and had a phenomenal time! The house is spacious, beautiful, and set up really well. The kids said they “want to live there.” Also, the management company is fantastic. We had an issue with our booking and they went above and beyond to make it right. I highly recommend this lovely house to anyone who wants a blissful vacation!

Everything was very nice except for one major problem: practically no hot water for showers, both morning and evening. This impacted all of us each day.

I did issue with the properties that there were insufficient communication about hot water, access, insufficient provision of towels for eight adults. We received a total of eight bath size towels. In addition, paper products were hoarded as if there were a shortage. The provision of hygiene supplies was, a pittance for eight people staying for seven nights. This is a costly rental and certainly did not live up to expectations. Finally, this beachfront property is in sight of the beach, but has no direct access whatsoever that should've been emphasized in the property description.

My wife, two adult children, and I enjoyed several days at this beautiful beach home at the northernmost tip of Isle of Palms in the Wild Dunes Resort area. The two large master bedrooms (one had a great view out the back!) and two queen-sized bedrooms provided plenty of room for us and all of them had a private bathroom. Kitchen was well-equipped allowing us to have breakfast there along with a couple of lunches and a dinner of fresh sea trout that we caught the day before while fishing the IWC. The home was super clean and everything worked as advertised. The secluded beach was a very short walk from the house and provided a great opportunity for solitude and collecting shells. The hosts did a nice job of communicating with us and we will definitely keep this place on our radar for a future stay.

We had an amazing stay at the Sea Sponge. We were four moms taking a post-Christmas ladies’ trip. We loved each having our own bedroom and bathroom. The common areas were spacious and comfortable. The kitchen was well-equipped.

The home was very nice, the only complaint is that we weren't made aware that we would only be allowed to park 2 vehicles at the property until a few days prior to arrival. we had 3 vehicles coming from out of town to stay at the property for a family wedding. We were told we would not be able to park all of our cars there so we had to leave one of the vehicles at a relatives house 40 minutes away. We also was not happy with the upstairs master bathroom window that had no window covering and felt that the windows in the house next door could have visual to both the shower and the tub.

The house was very clean and access to the beach was a short distance. The main living area could've benefited from another sofa capable of seating 3 people comfortably.
The gated community was fine. However it was difficult for late arriving house guests to get to the house. The guards sent the driver to a different gate rather than allowing them entry through the main gate. That is all well and good as long as the driver was familiar with the property but, he wasn't. The driver eventually found the gate after some more phone calls and frustration.
The house is fine and more travel lessoned learned when vacationing in a gated community.

We stayed at the Sea Sponge for a long weekend with 4 couples total Everyone loved the place. The beds were comfortable and bathrooms were all updated. The master suite has a beautiful ocean view. The owners/management company were very responsive to all of our needs. Definitely recommend and would book again.

Perfect fall getaway at 33 Ocean Point! We’ve brought our kids and grands here for years, and this is the second time we’ve stayed in this gorgeous home. The updates and upgrades this year are fantastic.Hospitality and so many extra, unexpected treats and thoughtful touches put this place over the top. The view, the amenities, the spotless and delightful spaces make this destination a perfect choice for us!

We were a party of 6. Each couple got their own bedroom and private bath. The house was spotless and was so well kept. The beds were comfy as were the couches and chairs. The kitchen was well equipped with everything we needed to make a meal. The pool was located right behind the house so we were able to go back and forth all afternoon.
We would definitely rent Sea Sponge house again!

Sea Sponge is an awesome property! I am very picky when it comes to rentals and it met all my expectations. The view is beautiful and the walk to the beach is easy. The house is VERY well stocked with useful items, the beds are comfortable, and it was extremely clean. There was a minor hiccup with some repairs being done to the house while we were there, but communication regarding it was very good. Overall the communication regarding the property was wonderful - before and during our visit. We would definitely stay here again!

Our family of 3 adults, 2 kids (9yo and 5yo), 2 grandparents in their mid-60s and an elderly 92yo great grandparent, greatly enjoyed our stay at Sea Sponge! The rooms were very comfortable with plenty of space, soft carpeting and very comfortable bedding and linens. The master bedroom had a balcony with gorgeous views overlooking the ocean, top of palm trees and the community pool. The covered back patio was very serene and lets out to the short walk toward the pool and hot tub entrance, which we thoroughly enjoyed. The garage was spacious with plenty of beach toys to keep the kids busy at the beach, which was also a little walk from the house. We enjoyed sunset and night walking on the very private and convenient corner of the beach - lots of reeds on this end but wasn’t a problem for us at all. The living area of the home was an ideal meeting place for all the family to get together to play board games (which is well-stocked in the home) and the kitchen was conveniently stocked as well. Overall, our time here was spectacular!

We stayed at the Sea Sponge for spring break and had the best time! The rental was incredibly clean, spacious and had everything we needed. The communication from iTrip was also stellar- some of the best we've ever had while on vacation. The beds were so comfy; we all slept wonderfully at the end of the day. The view from the deck was so pretty! Beautiful sunrises over the ocean. There were two beach bikes and a lot of beach toys for our kiddo. The location of the house is perfect-close to the pool, a short walk to the beach and a quick drive into town. The little neighborhood is so quiet! We rented a golf cart and really enjoyed cruising the island. We wouldn't have changed a thing. Highly recommend this rental!!

Beautiful property, exactly as described. The home was really clean. Just a short walk to the beach. I suggest ordering beach chairs from IOP Beach. They sit them up and take them down daily. It is worth the money.
We attempted to book for next year, but our dates were unavailable.
The owner was very responsive. The only issue we had was wifi would occasionally slow down. I had to reset it a few times over the week.

Cleanest property we have ever had. My husband is a retired Marine and he agrees. Unusual! Only one issue. Back porch door coming off hinges. We reported it by text but not fixed by the time we left. Everything else was perfect. Beautifully furnished home. Would definitely stay there again.

Very beautiful property in a nice quiet neighborhood. We were very excited when we arrived but then became disappointed when we saw caution tape on the stairs leading up to the bedrooms. No one had mentioned there was damage to the stairs and it looked kinda tacky. We then received a message that the wifi was down. They asked us to unplug the router and plug it back in to see if that reset it. It didn’t. The second day there, contractors showed up unannounced. They were working on the AC unit. They informed us the wifi was down last week for the people who rented. So this was something that the management company was aware of but did not let us know. Our daughter planned to stay with us a couple days but was not able to as she needed to be able to work from her laptop but couldn’t with out wifi. Then we were informed the cable company was going to come by and work on fixing the issue. So that’s 2 contractors at the property during our stay and no working wifi.
We use Ring cameras at our home when we travel and I was unable to see anything happening at my house due to no wifi. I’m just thankful I didn’t plan on making this a working vacation like I often do. I wouldn’t have been able to log in to my computer.
