Enjoy a fabulous downtown Des Moines experience at this centrally-located rental property.
This quaint, quiet & cozy home features a 2 bedroom, 1.5 bath, two-story nook with 1,065 sq feet. This newly remodeled and recently fully furnished property falls in Des Moines's highly sought after "North of Grand" neighborhood on the west side. This property has been fully updated with brand new wood flooring (on the first level), modern style baseboards throughout & Wainscoting in the dining area.
This 2 bedroom, 1.5 bath, two-story rental property features 1,065 livable square feet and a lot size just under a 6,000 square feet. Nestled within the highly sought after "North of Grand" neighborhood - this was a tastefully renovated and remodeled home which was built back in the late 1800's.
The first floor consists of a family room, dining room, kitchen, office area, laundry area (off kitchen), along with a half bath located underneath the staircase. Upstairs you will find two bedrooms both equipped with Queen size beds, flat screen Smart TVS's (offering YouTubeTV Live Streaming Services), nightstands and closets furnished with hangers, extra bedding and pillows.
Debating on whether or not you should bring your dog? All of our rental properties are Pet Friendly. You will find a fully enclosed fenced-in backyard located to the left of the driveway. You can also help yourself to a nice picnic with family and friends at the table located just off of the front porch (seats 6).
The rental property is located just North of Ingersoll Avenue. The location couldn't be more convenient as guests will be within walking & biking distance of restaurants, coffee shops, bars, clubs, and many other attractions. You're just minutes from Downtown and less than 15 minutes from most surrounding Suburbs.
All communication will be handled online via the AirBnB text messaging thread. In the event of an emergency our Property Manager Charlton Dukepoo's direct contact information will be provided at time of check-in.
The rental property is located just North of Ingersoll Avenue. The location couldn't be more convenient as guests will be within walking & biking distance of restaurants, coffee shops, bars, clubs, and many other attractions. You're just minutes from Downtown and less than 15 minutes from most surrounding Suburbs.
You're just a five minute walk due west of the property for coffee, restaurants, shopping and no more than a 12 minute Uber fare downtown to Des Moines Entertainment District (Court Avenue).
* There will be an additional Pet Fee of $150 for any and all pets. Pricing can be negotiated based on size, age and training of animal. Please be advised that this fee is PER ANIMAL and that the guest is still liable, responsible and will be held accountable for any pet accidents throughout the home for the duration of their stay (i.e. Urine or poop stains, chewed up furniture, damaged property or missing personal belongings).
HOUSE RULES & CHECKOUT PROCEDURES
* QUIET HOURS: The City of Des Moines enforces a strict policy of quiet hours starting as early at 10 PM. Any violation received by Des Moines PD, the booking AirBnB guest will be held personally responsible for paying any fines incurred.
* PET FEE: There will be an additional Pet Fee of $150 per pet. Pricing can be negotiated based on size, age and training of animal. Please be advised that this fee is PER ANIMAL and that the guest is still liable, responsible and will be held accountable for any pet accidents throughout the home for the duration of their stay (i.e., Urine or poop stains, chewed up furniture, damaged property or missing personal belongings).
* Please be sure to shut and lock ALL DOORS throughout the entire property prior to departing. These doors will include:
- Front Door
- Door Leading to Garage (in kitchen)
* Take out the trash prior to your departure. The trash can is located on the East side of the home to the left of the driveway. All RECYCLABLE ITEMS can be disposed of in the BLUE can located next to the black trash can.
* Strip all beds of any dirty sheets, pillowcases, used linens and place them inside of the stack washing machine located in the kitchen.
* ABSOLUTELY NO SMOKING of any kind inside of the home (Back patio only). Please be sure to pick up your cigarette butts after yourselves. A $250 Penalty Fee can and will be enforced.
* There is absolutely NO DECORATING allowed at the rental property. This will include but not limited too: confetti, pin tacks, tape, and streamers. In the event we find any of these items at time of checkout a $300 fine will be incurred.
* Empty fridge of all personal items or leftover food.
* Place all dirty dishes in the dishwasher.
* Be mindful and careful of furniture & furnishings.
* * * PLEASE NOTE: This property is guarded by NEST Security Cam. There is a camera located at the front door facing the entryway and another in the backyard facing the driveway. These cameras have been installed for security purposes only.

We were visiting family and rented this little place for five of us. It gave us great access and a nice location. It allows pets and has a small fenced in yard for free range. Would rent again, thanks for the stay.

I thought this was a pretty nice property. The doors were a little finicky and didn't want to stay closed all of the time, but as old if a house as it was that is to be expected. For the price it was an extremely nice place to spend the night though. I thought it had everything we needed.

We really enjoyed our stay at this family friendly home. Everything was as described in the listing. We didn’t hear or see any of the neighbors as it was so quiet in the neighborhood. The kitchen was fully stocked and having access to the washer and dryer was nice. The grocery store and many restaurants are a very short drive away. The property manager was quick to respond to questions and our request for an early check in. The only enhancement would be an instruction book on how to use the thermostat and TV. We will plan to stay here again in the future.

This house was easy to get to and just what we needed. The kitchen was well stocked and everything was comfortable. We would stay here again.

We arrived at the house to find it very unlike the pictures. Smell was musty. There was no wifi and no service. Upon contacting property manager, he gave us wrong passwords and information that was not helpful. He stated he would help us get a refund as we no longer wanted to stay and decided to get a hotel. His communication was excellent until he completely stopped and we have heard nothing from him or the owner. A 50% refund would have been sufficient but nothing. I was incredibly disappointed especially after seeing such good reviews!

The check-in was smooth. The kitchen was well appointed. All amenities were nice and working. Additional surprise of a garage and a picnic table in the front yard. The
Management company was usually responsive, except over a long holiday weekend I texted Friday night , but had to recontact the following Tuesday …the issue was worked on that week .
I had a lovely lengthy stay .
The location is great for easy access to the freeway . Centrally located making it easy to get anywhere in the metro area

It was very comfortable and was just what we expected/wanted based on the pictures. The kitchen was well stocked and we made several meals. It was really nice to have the two car attached garage to use.

The house was very clean and organized. The rooms were large and the furniture very comfortable. The location was perfect for us a great neighborhood for our morning and afternoon walks. Michael is a great host. We definitely plan on returning

Older home with modern amenities, close to a of the highlights of Des Moines.

My husband, two daughters (8 &10) and I stayed at the house for the weekend to attend my daughter's swim meet downtown. It was an easy drive downtown and in a decent neighborhood. The beds were comfortable and we all slept well! My only problem was the limited, or lack of, water pressure in the home. If that can be remedied, this would be a go-to spot for the yearly swim event!
