Located near the shores of beautiful Canyon Lake-- the gem of Texas Hill Country-- Sweet Retreat is an immaculate three bedroom, two bathroom home in a quiet neighborhood. There is plenty of space indoors to enjoy your company while watching TV, cooking, having coffee or tea or just hanging out independently while reading a book.
The kitchen comes fully stocked with plate ware, flatware, serving platters, glassware including wine glasses galore, and other little necessities for those wishing to dine in. The spacious bedrooms (2 Queens, King and 2 Full Beds) offer luxury bedding and mattresses that provide an optimal and comfortable night’s sleep after the long days of enjoying the pool and outdoors or Canyon Lake. The fully fenced in outdoor space features gorgeous oak trees that provide an abundant amount of shade, an above ground swimming pool , covered patio.
There is tons to do on Canyon Lake, like rent a jet ski, boat, kayak, or paddle board! If you need assistance, we can help! Take a drive through the rolling hills of Canyon Lake and take in all the beauty. Go on a hike on Canyon Dam or local trails. There are tons of delicious restaurants— there’s truly something for everyone here!
Minutes away is Comal Park where they offer an exceptional beach area for swimming, picnic tables, children’s playground, public restrooms and 2 boat ramps. Lakeside Golf Course is also minutes away if you want to sneak in a round of golf.
Tubing the Horseshoe on the Guadalupe River is a 10 minute drive. Less than 10 miles east is the White Water Amphitheater, which is a hot spot for live bands and music of all genres.
Historic Gruene and New Braunfels is a short 20 minute drive that can't be missed. While in Gruene, you can shop all the local shops, enjoy an ice cream cone, and then visit the Gristmill for lunch or go two-stepping at the Historic gruene Dance Hall. While in New Braunfels, you can enjoy the world's greatest water park, Schlitterbahn, or plop a tube down in the Comal River that is crystal clear and stays 72 degrees year round.

Prestige Vacation Rentals LLC (hereafter referred to as "Prestige", "we", "us", or "our") provides rental management and marketing services on behalf of homeowners ("Owners") who rent their properties (including the associated fixtures and furnishings) (the "Home") to guests (the "Guest" or "you") seeking accommodations on a short term or long-term basis (collectively, the "Services"). We are the Owner's property manager and authorized marketing agent, who will perform the Services related to your reservation. By using the Home and Services, you agree to comply with and be legally bound by the terms and conditions of this guest agreement (the "Agreement"). This agreement only applies to both short term rentals and long term leased rentals.
Policies or "House-Rules"
Please treat our Owner's Home with the care you would at your own home and abide by the following policies:
1. Zero Tolerance and Respect the Community Policy: Behave as you would in any home in which you live, with respect for the property you are renting and the neighborhood for which the property is located. We have a zero-tolerance policy If any disrespect is reported to us regarding disrespect to the home, property, neighborhood, and neighbors in the community. We will immediately require you to leave the property without a refund if this policy is not followed accordingly.
2. Age Requirements and 3rd Party Reservations Policy: You must be over the age of 25 to book any Prestige Vacation Rentals LLC Property. No individual or entity is allowed to book or make a reservation on behalf of someone (3rd Party bookings) for any rental property for individuals who are under the age of 25. Additionally, no individual is allowed to book any property for any other individuals if they will not be physically staying at the property themselves. Simply put, the person making the reservation must be staying at the property for the entire duration of the reservation.
3. Check-In and Check-Out Policy: For Prestige Vacation Rentals LLC properties, check-in time is 4 PM, and check-out time is 11 AM. If you fail to check-out by 11 AM, a $250 late check-out fee will be charged at any property managed by Prestige Vacation Rentals LLC. We will never be able to guarantee a late check-out or an
early check-in. You must coordinate this with us prior to your arrival.
4. Cleaning Policy: Each home will be cleaned and inspected by third-party cleaning contractors before your arrival and after departure. We ask you to help us assist the cleaning crews as much as possible. They will appreciate simple things such as leaving home tidy, running the dishwasher, starting to wash the towels, and taking out the trash. Please use common courtesy at home by keeping it clean, reporting any problems or damages, washing dishes as used, taking garbage to the outside bins, leaving towels in the bathrooms and sheets in the bedrooms, and not rearranging furniture.
5. Extra Guests Policy: For any property that sleeps over six individuals, for each additional Guest, an additional fee of $10 per Guest per night will be charged and added to your reservation after booking.
6. Rooftop Decks, Patios, Stairs, Grills, Pools Hot Tubs and Recreational Equipment of Any Kind Policy: If the Home that you have reserved includes a Rooftop Decks, Patios, Stairs, Grills, Pools, Hot Tubs and Recreational Equipment of Any Kind, these can all be very dangerous and hazardous. Guests should observe and adhere to all rules and policies prior to checking into the property and supervise all children at all times when staying at the property. Decks, Patios, and Stairs can be slippery when wet and/or icy and can result in injury to anyone who is not careful. Grills must be used by Guests only over the age of 25. No Guests under the age of 25 may have access to the Grills. Any Guests under the age of 18 must-have adult supervision at all times when utilizing Pools. All Guests and persons at the property accept and assume all risks involved in or related to the use of Rooftop Decks, Patios, Stairs, Grills, Pools, Hot Tubs, and Recreational Equipment of Any Kind. Prestige Vacation Rentals LLC nor its Owners will not be liable for any personal injury that occurs while staying at the rental home.
7. Excessive Wear and Tear and Cleanliness Policy: If intentional excessive wear and tear are found at the home during or after Guests' stay, or if any additional cleaning is necessary due to intentional spills, trash left on site, stains to furniture, damaged items, carpeting, linens, paint, wallpaper, or flooring, Guest authorizes Prestige Vacation Rentals LLC to charge the Guest for additional fees. The tenant will be provided with a receipt for any additional fees incurred upon request or as required by local laws or regulations. In addition to repayment of any Excessive Wear and Tear, Noise, and Occupancy, if we have to charge the Guest for additional fees, a service fee of $100 will be assessed for damages under $1000, and a minimum $500 for damages over $1000.

The home was comfortable and clean. The only issue we had was the step for the pool not being very secure. Otherwise the home was great and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. I would definitely go back!

The house is roomy. It’s located in a peaceful neighborhood. We enjoyed the peace and quiet. The bed was comfortable. The decor was attractive. On the other hand, we did not like the TV package at all. It was too hard to figure out. It did not have premium channels. Missed our cable news programs. No instructions for the stove and dish washer. We thought the steps in the pool were unsafe. They are floating steps weighed down with some stones. The steps are not connected to the pool and there is no handrail. For us, that was a problem. We thought the house would be much closer to the lake but not so.
Overall, the house was nice, very comfortable. It’s located near restaurants and market. We enjoyed the deck area as well. If there was better access to the pool, we would stay there again.

Great property. Backyard was big enough to entertain our family. Nice inviting set up in the patio. The Inside of the house was really put together I felt like I was in my own home. Owners really made the home nice and cozy. I’ve rented homes before but other rentals made it feel like it was just one more rental with any type of furniture they could find to put in it. I would recommend this home!!!!!

This spot was perfect for our trip of 8 people total. Being so close to everything made life easier with our kids! Plus, the amenities of the house were perfect for our stay. Highly recommend and will return!

This home had everything we needed. Toiletries, extra towels, TV's in every room, cleaning supplies, 2 types of coffee pots, and plenty of room to sleep 10 people. Even in the hot summer, the back deck was very comfortable due to all the ceiling fans. Not to mention, my grandkids loved the above ground pool. We all enjoyed it but it was nice that the kids could stand up in it. Additionally, this property is located just minutes away from grocery, drugstores, restaurants, etc. Perfect Location.

We absolutely loved our stay. The house was beautiful and spacious. The back deck, pool and fire pit were wonderful to have with 3 teenage boys and 5 adults. A deer came into the yard both nights and hungout with us for approximately 20-30 mins. We saw deer throughout the neighborhoods everywhere. Our son and his friends went to Schlitterbahn while we floated the comal river. We had such a wonderful time we are trying to plan our next trip for just the adults to enjoy Canyon Lake hiking and fishing. We will be back.

Better than the pictures!! The home was perfect for our family (of 8) vacation to canyon lake. The home is conviently located just down the street from the local grocery store which made it easy for us to get groceries when we arrived. The house is gated which gives more security for guest. The house was very clean, newly remodeled and had everything we needed for our stay. The back porch was perfect for afternoon family hangouts and the pool was great for entertaining our smaller kids in the afternoons. On the last night we used the firepit and made smores and chased fireflies in the yard. It was a great home and the owner responds quickly to any questions. So glad we chose to stay here for our vacation and woukd return again.

Overall cleanliness could have better, I did speak with the prop manager, and she stated she would have a meeting with her housekeeper to address the issues. Otherwise, very comfortable and beautifully designed house. Plenty of room for a bigger family. Kids loved the pool and tree house. Located 10-15 minutes from Natural Bridge. I would stay there again.

We selected this property due to its proximity to our daughter’s family home in Spring Branch. This home was was perfect in every way. We appreciated that the house was very clean, beds were comfortable and many towels were available in both bathrooms. The host checked on us several times, making sure everything was as expected and ready to answer any question. We will stay here again, when the weather allows us to use the yard and lake with our grandaughters!

We rented this property for a final summer weekend getaway. When we arrived Friday evening the pool was green and slimy. When I contacted the owner instead of fixing the issue, she told me it just rained and it turned the pool green and "she can't help mother nature" ... When I asked if we could have a partial refund since we paid more a night for a house with a pool or what she was going to do she let off an attitude vibe that she didn't really care it was an inconvenience to our family and argued other homes in the area without pools are just as much. She also went as far and told me she would send links to them to prove I was in the wrong. She said we were going to get a gift card for inconvenience but never did. The pool man showed up at 8:00pm to shock the pool and had a completely different story from the owner and her pool maintenance history. The towels were also left in the dryer from previous renters, and we had to contact her about where to find them. When I rent a place, I want to show up and not have to contact anyone and spend time away with my family. This vacation I could not do that, I shouldn't have to track down the owner for a home that isn't ready and deal with a pool man and the home's issues. Also the sheets need updated or not be white because there are stains on at least 3 of the bedsheets and no one wants to sleep in another person's dried blood stains. I really wanted to give this owner a five star review, it's a great home in a great location but the communication between her cleaning lady and pool man to keep the property running is very very poor.

A group of my friends and I stayed at this property to enjoy a fun weekend and float the river. First off, the back yard is AWESOME! The huge deck and pool are a great place to hang out! The open kitchen was perfect for meal time & overall the property was just a great find. The host was amazing as well with making sure we had all questions answered and making us feel welcome. Highly recommend !!

We completely enjoyed our stay. Close the lake and floating the river. It was amazing to have the pool to come back to while cooking on the grill and cooking in the spacious kitchen. The bedrooms were nice sizes and super comfortable along with the couches.

My family was looking to get out of the city and spend some time somewhere new. We landed on this location because it seemed like a small enough city but big enough for easy-access amenities like grocery stores and restaurants. The house was absolutely perfect! It was just the right size for us, offered plenty of privacy....and that back deck, yard, and pool! It was just perfect! We'll definitely come back again!

We really enjoyed our stay here. The beds were very comfortable as well as the furniture. We enjoyed the pool and cooling off in this hot summer weather. There was plenty of room on the covered deck outside with fans that kept the air moving. The kitchen was perfect as we all pitched in and prepared meals. It was very relaxing and felt like home. Can’t say enough about how great this stay was. Communication with owner was great. The location of the house was perfectly central to everything. H‑E‑B is a 15 minute drive if you do not want to shop at the local one within 5 minutes of the house. Horshoe loop for tubing is right down the road within 15 minutes. Gruene Is 20 minutes away for shopping and the Gristmill. Plus the pool is perfect way of end your day of adventures. Only thing about the pool is yes it’s dated with a the hand rail coming up. But it serves its purpose of cooling you off after a long day. Also, the beds are really comfortable. Like I said can’t say enough good things about this property. Can’t wait to plan our next stay here.

I rented this property because of the pool for my twin boys, the pool was filthy, I contacted property owner and did not do anything about it. I had to personally service the pool in order for pool to be used. The firepit was full of burning leaves when I arrived, property was somewhat clean. Will never go back to this property I am very disappointed.

We went to Canyon Lake for Spring Break 2022 and had the most relaxing time at this house. We stayed with our in-laws and children (3 y/o - 12 y/o).
Completely fenced-in property in a quiet, conveniently located neighborhood. All of our children were able play without any worry about one of them running into the street. The pool, swing and playhouse were a hit! Large, covered back porch with TV; great for eating meals outside or cooking-out. Inside of the house was bright, clean and comfortable.
This property is a 30 second drive from the town of Startzville - McDonalds, donut shop, restaurant, gas stations and grocery store were within a minute or two.
Comal Park (Canyon Lake) and boat dock is a couple minutes in the other direction.
I would 100% recommendation this property and would love to return. The host is communicative and friendly - made sure we had everything we needed leading up to our check-in day.
