Ready for quick access to the beach as well as a serene & peaceful getaway with an expansive outdoor oasis including a private heatable* pool & hot tub? Welcome to Heron Hideaway! This brand new Folly Beach vacation rental home is a quick 5 minute walk to the beach down a quiet path to the beach access point. Located on a low traffic street in a tree-filled residential neighborhood, this house provides its guests close proximity to the beach and Folly Beach's restaurant row on Center Street without all the congestion and noise that you'll find on the busier streets of the island. Heron Hideaway features several terrific outdoor areas, including a standalone screened porch in the backyard, a second floor back deck looking out on the fenced backyard and a patio area on the lower level between the backyard and the house. Two of the home's bedrooms are located on the top floor, two of the home's bedrooms are located on the main floor and there is a game room with a dartboard and mounted smart TV in the lowest level of the home. Certain small dogs may be welcome to join you for your stay -- please make your dog requests in advance of your stay.

We had a great time at this home. Lots and lots of positives and just the right size for our family of 6. The pool is amazing. the beds are very comfortable and the neighborhood is nice and quiet. The walk to the beach is more than 5 min but very doable. The kitchen is great. Lots of options for coffee making :) The only thing missing was a glass measuring cup and a pitcher to make sweet tea! Our boys loved the vintage video games in the bunk room. Thank you so much for your hospitality.

We stayed at Heron Hideaway and had a fantastic stay; very quiet street location. Greeted by a super clean, comfortable home, as well as a bottle of wine and key lime cookies. Home was equipped with every comfort, as well as fully stocked with kitchen appliances and essentials. 10 minute walk to downtown folly beach and beach access. We loved having a large warm pool and private yard, for evening beach reprieve. Dog friendly too, and pups had great fenced yard to run, supervised, in. Communication with rental company, via text, was convenient. Definitely recommend renting one of their amazing homes.

We had a wonderful time during our stay. The home was just as pictured, was clean and check-in was super easy. Response time to questions was fantastic. The pool is beautiful, and the walk to the beach was about 5 mins (once we figured out the 'secret' path/cut-through. We took daily early morning walks on the beach with our dog, which he loved as much as we did. If we travel through Charleston again, we will definitely try to stay here again. Thank you!

This house was great for a family vacation! The location allows you to be able to walk to the beach and to restaurants. This is crucial during the summer months to avoid parking difficulties. The house was clean and well organized. The back porch was nice to eat out on and spend time with family. The pool was a great activity and kept my son entertained in the afternoon after a morning at the beach. The property manager was very helpful and timely with their responses. Would definitely stay at Heron Hideaway again.

The house was even more beautiful than in the photos. The decor was incredibly cute and unique and not typical beach decor. Almost every room had a mirror which was great for a bunch of girls getting ready. The outdoor area was amazing. The kitchen was well stocked. We were a short walk from the beach and the owners were very attentive to anything we needed. We didn’t expect the hot tub would cost to heat it since a hot tub was advertised in the listing, we knew the pool would cost to heat it but didn’t expect it for both, so we opted out. Would definitely stay here again.

Clean, comfortable, and well-appointed house in a nice neighborhood a few blocks from the beach and Center Street. The pool area, with seating, hot tub, and a screened cabana, was fun and a great gathering place for our group. The property is well-decorated and well-maintained. Our family just returned from a wonderful stay at Heron Hideaway. Everything was just as pictured on the website and quite possibly even better. The house was sparkling clean and well equipped with everything you would need. We did not do any cooking as we wanted to enjoy dining locally as well as in Charleston, but you certainly could. The children especially enjoyed the pool which we did not elect to heat as it was warm during our visit and we preferred a refreshing dip after a visit to the beach. The beach is indeed close, but if you are carrying along a lot of equipment (coolers, boogie boards, coolers, etc.) it is quite easy to drop it all off a few blocks away and then park at the house. I especially appreciated the very clear directions on the iTrip website which I recommend that you read. There are strict city parking regulations, for example, which are good to know about. Steven & Sarah were in close contact about necessary information and I really appreciated their help before and during the trip. Finally, the grandkids said “can we can back to THIS HOUSE again?” That says it all.

We spent Memorial Day weekend at this property. It was the perfect spot for 2 families with kids 7 yrs old to 12 yrs old. There was a short walk to town and the kids loved exploring the stores and getting ice cream during the rain. The walk to the beach was short but entertaining. You walk on a little bridge off the beaten path and were there within 5 minutes.
The weather on Memorial Day was certainly not ideal, but the backyard saved this trip. The owners were accommodating and heated the pool so the kids swam in the rain. We actually barely went to the beach since it was so cold (though when we did, we found tons of sharks' teeth). The backyard has plenty of shade for hot summer days and the screened in pool hut was adorable! There is also a giant deck that is nice for relaxing and enjoying the summer nights.
One of our favorite things was the record player! The parents and kids alike were fascinated by it and all decided to get one upon returning home.

Everything was perfect. The house is exactly as seen in the photographs, beds are very comfortable, bathrooms are clean, the house and yard were very clean and comfortable. A quick and easy six minute walk to the beach (literally from sand to door step) or a 10 minute walk to Center Street. A wonderful and friendly area. Homeowners made everything easy and communication was amazing. We will be back!

The new pool and outdoor area is great. The house is average and could use some updating. The basement pictures do not reflect the actual conditions. We were told that the pool would be ready to use but not informed that we would not be able to use the heater. In communicating with the PM, we were told that the heater was not installed when it was actually sitting there and fully connected.

My boys and I had the best spring break! They loved swimming in the heated pool and the short walk to the beach and restaurants. The owners were quick to respond and the house was just perfect for what we needed. We will be back!!

The house and yard are nicely done. I’m giving it a 4 star for the following reasons. The kitchen needs a more cooking and storage options. Such as serving bowl, platters, mixing bowls, more than one cookie sheet and left-over storage.
The dishwasher needs some sort of anchoring; it would fall forward when loading and unloading.
The listing does state a new heated pool but make sure you know if you want it heated it was an additional charge of $165 per day, 3 day minimum. That option isn’t even available til April.
As mentioned in title, the house is nicely decorated and the yard is wonderful with the screens in porch. There are beach chairs and towels. The street is nice and quiet.

Lovely home but management company didn’t have it ready for the season. The listing promised a heated pool at additional cost but we only discovered heat wasn’t available upon asking 2 days before our stay. The pool and deck were dirty. The dishwasher was not attached and fell out. No gaming table and darts were broken. Hopefully all will be addressed promptly for future visitors. Liked the property and location.

Very comfortable and spacious home (for 8) in serene residential tract just a few minute walk from the attractions of Folley's Island. All the necessaries for a nice stay were provided, and the property will be even more enticing when the pool/spa are available.

The location is not far from the beautiful beach! Really nice spacious house. Pretty outdoor screened in patio and a nice pool. Supplies available to take to the beach was great! An awesome addition for the kids was the video games in the kids bedroom!

Sunset Point was a lovely house just as described. Our family enjoyed spending time there and visiting the restaurants and shops on Folly Beach. Steven the property manager was very helpful and quick to respond to our questions. We would highly recommend staying at this beautiful home.

We had such a great stay. We come to folly a lot and found this house to be one of the best we have ever stayed at. The house was great with 2 king beds upstairs, cozy living room and kitchen, huge yard overlooking beautiful great marsh. Sunny large back patio with great outdooor furniture. 2 bedrooms downstairs were perfect for grandma and the kids.
The walk to the beach is a few blocks but the 3rd Ave beach has bathrooms and showers and a beach toy borrow area.. we had an extremely great stay. Hosts were very responsive.

This home is outstanding? The house is just as pictured. The beds are incredibly comfortable. The backyard is stunning. We sat on the porch and in the screened in porch and watched beautiful wildlife beyond the fence. Its about a 5 minute walk to Folly Beach. Folly Beach is a lovely community. People are so nice. We really enjoyed the screened in “she shed” and spent quite a bit of time out there during the weekend. Perfect spot to spend some time if it rains and you can’t get to the beach.

We greatly enjoyed our stay at Heron Hideaway. There was timely and effective communication with Steve, so we knew just what to expect. The home was bright, welcoming, comfortable, and clean. We appreciated both the porch and the screened patio. The neighborhood was quiet, pretty, and friendly. The wagon at the house made it easy to transport our beach gear. The location was a perfect balance of close to town and the beach while still being peaceful.

My family of 7 stayed in July 2022. The check-in process was easy, the house was fully stocked with everything needed for a vacation home (toiletries, kitchen, towels and the like), the location was ideal for us to walk to town and the beach, and we enjoyed the quiet neighborhood and fenced in backyard. This place is perfect for families or groups that want easy walkable access to the main attractions of Folly and a quiet retreat to fall back to.

This was a great find. The house was very clean with comfortable new furniture and tons of sunlight and beautiful views. We enjoyed looking for the herons and larger birds roaming around the marsh. The beds were very comfy and everyone in our party had great night sleeps throughout our stay. Everything we could need in the kitchen to enjoy our stay was provided. For us though, the difference maker was the backyard and the amazing location. We were able to walk to the beach in just a few mins down a path located down the road, and relax in the backyard for afternoon before dinner. I took an outdoor shower each morning and evening before dinner and the kids and dog loved playing in the backyard all week. We are very happy we booked at Heron Hideaway!
