The location and house are really good. Plenty of space. It was reasonably clean. The VRBO staff that came to clean were very nice, they were running behind and still there past check-in time. A few items need some attention to make it great. The water system still needs proper maintenance including filters, salt in the tanks, etc. The main living room couches and chairs need to be replaced along with a few of the mattresses. The dish drying rack was dirty so we didn't use it. The sauna did not work and has confusing knobs that spin because they are worn. We thought we figured it out but it wasn't pulling any electric so the unit likely needs to replaced or the contactor needs to be replaced. The house heat worked but the thermostats weren't 100% accurate. I work in a related field and have some knowledge of maintaining property and how these systems work. Overall, for the winter time, I would return. I probably wouldn't go to this house for the summer since there isn't any A/C and Vermont summers are getting hotter.

Fantastic house, great location. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Great house, was larger than expected and very clean. Nice outdoor hot tub. The one issue was the mud in the driveway, which hopefully they fix but still giving 5 star rating for quality of house itself.

We stayed 4/18-4/20 during kids April break; the house is big enough to host all family members however, there are issues; the main problems is the water; when we checked in the evening of 4/18 and we immediately noticed the water pressure is low; we first thought that maybe we have multiple people taking the shower at the same time…but it was not. The water stopped completely at around 11pm that night; we called VACASA in the next day early morning; they told the local property manager will call and address the issue; 9am we called again and they gave the same answer; 11am gave them another called still nothing; 2pm called again they said the property manager is at the Home Depot buying the parts for repair; the lady finally showed up around 4:00pm with the water filters and told us that this is the ongoing issue; the water system needs new filter once very often otherwise it will stop working. We had no water for almost the whole day; we have to run the store to buy bottle water for brushing teeth and cookings; we could not flush the toilets too…we had 2 babies with us in this trip so think about that all the headaches we had…they knew what the problem is so why don’t they change the water filter before each time the house gets booked???? There are also other problems as other people stated…I mean this is a decent house and most people wants to stay with it again but they should really fix all the problems first.

this house was a bit dated. it was in a great location, however we did have some issues with the water and the driveway was in need of upkeep.

Pros: Plenty of space, five beds and bathrooms plus the loft area. House was clean when we arrived. Great location. Hot tub. Sauna (left dial needs to be replaced). Ping pong and pool table. Gas cook top. Entryway (mudroom) was great for ski gear. Plenty of cabinet space to organize food. Fireplace was great. Cons: Countertop was found damaged when we arrived. Easy fix that should have been taken care of. I contacted Vacasa about the countertop when we first arrived but did not hear back. The broken countertop doesn't bother me, I don't like that no one contacted me. Dishwasher was unusable because it was dirty. We had unwelcome guests in the form of Mice. We heard them running in the walls and one came out Wednesday night. Again, not a big deal but we found mouse traps and Ridex in the cabinets which means this is an ongoing issue. The water in the house needs to be further addressed with proper filters and treatment (staining in the sinks and toilets from water). The water pressure was completely unreliable which led to fluctuations in water temp and long showers trying to rinse. We limited to one or two showers at a time to avoid this but it was still an issue. I'm no stranger to well water and pumps but for a rental with five showers, the filters and pumps need to be properly sized and regularly replaced. A few other things that should be addressed: The dish drying rack needs to replaced as it was as dirty and we scrubbed it before we used it. One of the dining room table chairs was completely broken and left in the first floor bedroom closet. We moved it to the utility room. The couches and chairs in the living room and basement are looking worn. The mattresses were either cheap, old, or both. They were OK if only one person was sleeping on them. Basement bathroom exhaust fan was not working. The Nest thermostat was always changing the temperature. All the thermostats should be simple digital thermostats as they weren't consistent. Overall the draws and cabinets need to be cleaned out or organized as we found stuff scattered. As others have stated, I agree that the Holiday decorations should be removed but I'm not going to let that bother me. A good general organizing and labeling of everything would help greatly. The TV in the basement had a couple video game systems that were unusable because of how cluttered it was. It nice to have there only if it clean and organized. I would stay here again but the mice and water need to be addressed.

I booked this house for a family vacation and it would have worked fine but there was no running water on two of the 3 days we were there! On the first day, water was intermittent but the toilet overflowed and the showers didn't work. Unfortunately, there will be no way to know if the issue has been resolved until after you pay...

Spacious retreat with 5 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms. The game room and hot tub was thoroughly enjoyable after a day on the slopes

The home definitely showed signs of deferred maintenance. We visited the area in September 2022, knowing that Killington is a ski resort area. However, we weren't in town for the winter and there are many other outdoor activities that makes this a year round resort area. In the house, there were Christmas decorations randomly about, broken ornaments in the kitchen towel drawer on top of the towels and old onions in another, which we threw away. All of the sliding doors were a nightmare to open and the screens were off their tracks at the bottom, making it impossible to leave the sliders open. The weather during our stay was in the 80's, so it was nice to have the windows opened up for fresh air. The house did not appear to have been cleaned prior to our stay. There was old, sticky residue from a long forgotten drink on my nightstand and the blanket in this room was full of multiple types of hair. The kitchen counters had to be wiped down by us and crumbs were found on the dining room table. The coffee pot(s) had to be cleaned before we could use them. There were 2 game pieces found on the living room floor and the laundry room sink had dirt in it from a previous occupant. Had the house been freshly cleaned, none of these items would have been present for us to even notice. The basement smelled very mildewy. The cleaning company was quite apologetic and came out the following afternoon to install a dehumidifier in the basement which made a huge difference. They offered to re-clean but we were in the midst of our vacation and did not want the intrusion. This should have been done prior to our arrival, certainly not during. All in all, the house suited our needs; although, we didn't utilize all the amenities it offered. It has a ton of potential to be a great place but definitely needs better upkeep, cleaning and maintenance. Caution on the deck as there are quite a few raised nail heads.

This was one of the worst stays I've ever had at a rental house. When we arrived, it was after dark, but the external lights to the house hadn't been left on, so it was tough to use the lockbox. Once inside, we were greeted with toilets that were brown and dirty, greasy dishes in the cabinets. In the morning, we found trash and broken glass strewn all over the side yard. The rental management company sent someone to clean up, but it was just obvious that no one had bothered prior to our arrival. While some of the color in the toilets was staining from the water -- which, by the way, came out of the faucet tinted brown, despite the management company changing a filter, and would literally stain the towels brown after a shower -- a few swipes with a toilet brush demonstrated that a good bit of the staining would have come out had they bothered to clean prior to our arrival. In addition, the "fire pit" is overgrown and not safe to build a fire in, plus there's no seating around it, so it isn't really a fire pit. The Xbox would only work after we spent a lot of time cleaning corrosion off of one of the battery compartments of a controller. The other two controllers never worked. Many of the remotes had dead batteries. There was very little outdoor furniture, and all of it was filthy. No table on either of the decks and only a handful of bad, filthy, plastic chairs. The bedspread was stained. All of the appliances are quite dated, and as mentioned before, the water is absolutely un-drinkable. I would not rent this house again, and I'd be reluctant to rent anything from Vacasa again. Their local staff was sympathetic and responsive, but the condition of the house was unacceptable and their national team who we communicated with some by text was horrible.
