My husband and I, daughter, son in law, and grandson age 6 and 1 came for a family get away for a few days. It was the easiest check in. The house is decorated so pretty and is so clean. We had plenty of room. The owner is very accommodating, and will take care of anything you need. The only one thing was it has stairs, we didn’t realize that so we had to be extra watchful with the baby. It was still a wonderful stay. We enjoyed it very much. It has a creek behind it, I could go on and on. We loved it and will choose it again if it available.

Photography shows balcony and rooms. Doesn't reflect that the unit is below street level with a substantial drop in elevation on the steps/walkway down to the unit from parking area. Also not mentioned is the living area/kitchen/dining area on top level (still below street level) and the bedrooms on a lower level still (more stairs) and one of the two baths is in the stairwell (tiny) to the bottom level and not attached to the 2nd bedroom. Laundry equipment is in main bath. The doorway into main bath (and main bedroom) from stairs is approx. 5' 10" high, capable of causing injury to some people.Photography showing beautiful deck and creek with seating does not reflect the housing directly across the creek (cabin neighborhood, not countryside)Overall the property offers two bedrooms and two baths and it does deliver...sort of. For the money spent we got a comfortable property with some amenities within a few blocks of the start of downtown on a beautiful weekend in Ruidoso.

This is a cute property. The owner kept the wonderful parts of the original home and the updates enhance the spirit of the original! Kitchen had just enough equipment to allow the cooking we wanted to do. The sounds of the creek or river and the wildlife frolicking on the bank with the tall pines made us feel we were out in the woods when we were so close to Midtown!

Cozy, well stocked home in a great location. Sitting on the deck while listening to the stream and watching the hummingbirds, deer, and elk was a highlight. Communication with host was good; she was able to accommodate our early check-in request, which was a bonus. Really the only downsides: property description is a bit misleading, as A/C is only on the main level, not the bedrooms. Fans were provided so this was not a huge deal. Also, we encountered quite a few bugs inside the home (more than what I would expect, while taking into account the wooded location).

This is the cutest little cozy cottage, the balcony and bedroom outside sitting area is relaxing, listening to the running creek and watching the hummingbirds. Close to town. Keep in mind there are stairs if someone in your party has concerns, but that is listed in the description. Just a cute, comfy, enjoyable rental !!! Thanks Jana G

Loved the location! I grew up just across the road in the Red Cabin! It belonged to my grandparents, we came every weekend and played in the creek! We had to walk down the entrance to this cabin to get to the creek!

My family spent a few days in Ruidoso at those adorable cabin. It felt so cozy and homey and was well stocked with all the things you we need for cooking, laundry and even shower products. The property sits on a beautiful little creek and has an awesome deck overlooking it with a table and a grill. The owners were so nice and quickly responded to any my questions. We will definitely go back and stay here again!

Our stay here was wonderful and cannot wait to go back. My favorite part was sitting on spacious balcony patio in the evening, with a glass of wine, listening to the creek right below. So relaxing! Very clean all around! Super cute decor! Definitely recommended!

Donald is so hospitable and made our stay feel just like home! Book this property now! This property is located along the river and it was wonderful to sit outside on the patio/balcony or riverfront and listen to nature. The hustle and bustle of town is almost non-existant. If you're looking for a quiet place to relax for a few days, this is it! This property is also located within walking distance to the shops so we had a great time walking to grab food or shop. 10/10 would recommend. We can't wait to go back.

Peaceful serene cozy cottage with all the best amenities! Bring rain boots so the kiddos can walk in the stream and watch for deer at dusk, simply a beautiful experience. The perfect getaway to Ruidoso. Owner is the best host and wonderful to work with.

Everything about this cottage was wonderful. From the cozy decor in the home, to the well-stocked kitchen and linens, it made our stay just right. We appreciated everything was clean and well-maintained. We loved our time on the back deck eating meals while overlooking the creak. A few visits from the local deer made our time exceptional. Also, the property manager, Donald, was extremely helpful and made excellent recommendations for meals out. We hope to return to this cozy cottage time and time again!

Clean well located place with plenty of room and beautiful back yard. Spend a lifetime in a few hours by the Rio Ruidoso, you'll be daydreaming the whole time. Nearby to restaurants and a short drive to hiking and lakes. Very peaceful.

We loved staying at the cottage and the owner was on top of everything and so helpful with advice on wear to eat etc. the house was so clean and had comfy beds and nice pillows! So important to us for a good nights stay! Our kids loved the creek and the deck out back. The location was very convenient. We had everything we needed in the house and wanted in the location. Would stay here again for sure!!
