If first impressions are important, our first impression of this flat took our breath away!
The owner lead us up a dingy, carpeted stairway with a broken hand rail to the recently renovated flat. The furniture was new, the kitchen adequate, and refrigerator stocked with beverages and some food.
The problem was the third floor bedroom area. The master bedroom had a skylight that
had no shade . It did have a fan. But, with the sun rising at just after 4 am the light streamed in and by 7 am the room was brilliantly lit. The pub just a few doors down provided the noise that at one point lasted well beyond midnight.
The owner told us that his advertisement never said that there was air conditioning. True. But with temperatures in the upper 80's during the day, the temperature in the flat had to be close to 80 at night. We eventually ended up sleeping in the living room on the couches with the fan going so that we could sleep. The living room did have a blind over a window that could be opened.
The two huge flat screened televisions, the new furniture and new wooden floors didn't compensate for the fact that we could not get a good night's sleep in the bed. This was a situation that should be termed, putting lipstick on a pig! It was not a pleasant experience and not up the the usual Homeaway standards. This the was eighth rental with you and by far the worst!

Thank you Patris for accommodating us in your lovely flat. Beautifully clean added touches such as fruit bowl, eggs and water very welcome. Good access to buses and tubes, even managed to park outside. Having two TVs was very helpful with the Euros being on. Very good customer service met us at the flat when he said he would and was quick to answer texts when I had trouble turning the washing machine on. Thank you once again.
