Location

I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. There are ongoing renovations going on and the workers started at 7am changing the entire roof and obviously, making a lot of noise. We had the generator working since that time at the entrance of the house, stairs and cables, making the experience awful and dangerous for our kids. We reached out to the host and one day later, they haven't replied yet. We were never notified of this renovation happening and we paid the full amount for the night we stayed. Not sure about the positive reviews, but do not book here.

La propreté, l'aménagement impeccable, la décoration éclectique et parfaite, appartement 2 chambres avec tous les équipements, très fonctionnel. La réactivité du personnel quand nous avons eu besoin. Le côté autonome de l'installation avec le code sur la serrure, reçu par courriel.

Les entrées autonomes, proche de toutes commodités. Tout le confort était présent dans la chambre. Nos hôtes avaient même prévu un document avec les adresses d etablissements qui valaient le détour (restos, bars)

Très belle auberge, accueillis comme à la maison.

Belle bâtisse, les chambres sont très propres et bien décorées. Café et thé à disposition. Emplacement pratique en plein centre de Chicoutimi. Linge de maison, savons, éléments de cuisine. Accès généreux au lave linge à la demande.

L’espace « kitchenette » était un peu étroit et les murs fins, donc un peu bruyant le matin.

The property is located in the city centre. Easy access to the downtown and port.

The rooms, and sofa bed, were not clean. The communication with the owners was not good at all. They didn't respond to my questions about the coldness of the rooms and only sent templated messages asking for good reviews!

Very disappointing. The location is good but the customer service is poor - we won't come back

The location was close to the city center. The apartment was nice and the 2 bedrooms are spacious.

Those comments are for the apartment that can welcome up to 6 people. 1. Extra bed (= better quality but no longer a sleeping couch as shown on the picture) in the living room not usable: the mattress was so new that it had a strong chemical smell. It was not aerated at all, the cleaning lady was not even aware of this new bed. No instructions available on how to install it. One adult had to sleep on a normal couch for 2 nights due to this. The owners also said that no other rooms were available but I found 2 extra rooms on booking.com for our 2nd night. The solution given by the owners was to send a cleaning lady on our 2nd day to "wash" the mattress, which she didn't do as not possible and the mattress was aerated outside for the whole day (not sufficient). 2. Customer services from the owners were very poor: not reachable (we called at our arrival at 17h45 to ask where is the extra bed, they called back at 20h45), not reactif (we explained that it was not possible to sleep on the mattress due to the smell at 21h30 and they answered the next day at 7h30), no excuses given for the bed problem. At the end of our stay, they considered that everything went well and that they provided good services. 3. Apartment not suitable for more than 4 people - only 4 chairs inside, not enough cutlery. 4. The owners came during our stay to make some construction works in the apartment. 5. 2 lamps were not working, panel to cover cables located high up in a bedroom fell on us when we tried to put it properly.

Better than a hotel!

This place is adorable and in a great location. Pretty straightforward check-in with a smart lock. Everything was clean and well-kept. The room had everything we needed and we absolutely loved our private bathroom :)

The photos do not lie; this place is absolutely adorable, clean, and incredibly well-priced.

This little place was a hidden gem I am so glad to have discovered in Chicoutimi. After some unfortunate events, I found myself alone in the city without a place to sleep for the night. I was searching for a room available nearby when I came across this quaint and inexpensive advert! When I arrived, it was pretty straight forward and I was able to find my room fairly quickly. The photos do not lie; this place is absolutely adorable, clean, and incredibly well-decorated. I was so impressed by the Balcon Blanc for charging such a reasonable and fair price, for a room and private bathroom which exceeds most chain hotel standards. Absolutely loved my stay and hope to be back soon! Merci Anyssée et Simon :)

As I arrived quite late in the evening, it was a bit difficult to identify which home was the hotel. Not many street lights and there weren't any large or eye-catching signs. I also found it difficult to figure out which door to enter to access the hotel rather than the private residence. Additionally, the private residence was unlocked, which caused more confusion as I thought I was in the correct part of the building (but was not!). Other than that, everything was wonderful!

The Price was good 90$/night for our room. was a very quiet property and we he bed was comfy.

comfortable beds, nice size room, plenty of coffee, bathroom in room

just a curtain for the tiny bathroom and I didn’t find out there was no parking on the property in winter until the day before plus you can’t park on the street or you’ll get a ticket……when I rented I didn’t see this written anywhere. had to park at the church down the hill across the road so anyone that has physical challenges might find it hard to do with luggages as it’s steep and slippery in winter.
