Going down to breakfast after my first nights stay they had no record of me being in a room. It transpired that in arrival I had not been logged onto the computer and although given my room cards I was not officially there. This obviously raises concerns should I have needed to be contacted or any emergency. All was rectified for the following morning

The room was presented well, it was cleaned to a high standard. Facilities were great. Extremely comfortable sleep, great pillows!!
Breakfast was fresh and tasty.
4.0
Reception, bar and restaurant areas were pleasant and well presented.
All staff were friendly and efficient.
The room was warm and there was no air conditioning ( we were aware of this when we booked). A fan was present in the room which we used.
When we looked closer at the room condition it was clear that although clean, areas such as the shower could do with some repair. This wouldn’t put us off returning as it was mostly cosmetic.
We had paid for breakfast when booking and found the buffet to have a good variety of options which were all of decent quality.
The location of the hotel means that we would stay here again as the good points outweighed any bad.

We stayed 3 nights at Novotel. The location is excellent for a pre-cruise stay. It is near stores and restaurants. Staff was helpful.

Enjoyed our Novotel stay. The room was clean but I’m not sure it offered anything over and above a Travelodge, although it is priced above a Travelodge.
The staff were friendly, breakfast was ample and it was nice to have use of the pool in the morning.

Friendly greeting on check in, at all times during the stay and check out, helpful answers to all questions.
Good condition facilities and rooms
4.0
The room is lovely and large. Which is great as there are three of us with two cases each. We will definitely stay again.

Great one night stopover prior to boarding a cruise. Easy access from train station.
Good buffet breakfast. The pool and sauna were a perfect way to remedy the soreness of a 9 hour flight and subsequent train ride.
Stayed at a Novotel in Marseilles last year so I was confident it was a comfortable place to stay

Having recently had heart surgery (2 valves replaced, an aneurysm removed, and the aorta rebuilt) my doctor recommended I not stay in a hotel without air conditioning. Novetel didn’t notify me of the no air conditioning until 2 days before our stay. I find this very unfair.
4.0
Need air conditioning in rooms, breakfast options need to be expanded, cost could be revised downward. Need efficiency One to one CS especially on departure. Overall it’s still a good hotel and I would recommend staying to people.

The hotel was good but I only stayed 1 night

Came for my girlfriends birthday and our room was upgraded for free by the lady who checked us in, sorry in advance I didn’t catch her name but was much appreciated and helped make my girlfriends stay that little bit better. Highly recommend this place! Will be staying again

The hotel is massively overpriced. The room smelt really stale. Room was very basic.
4.0
The hotel is very clean and well maintained. Just whoosh there was a night light. Our iotion was leaving the shower light on, which is essentially life early morning light... not great for sleeps

Bath shower to high to step in to , no Safty rail .
Toilet felt like you were in a cell.

Good for getting in cruises, close to terminals. Large stain on the carpet, odd room layout, but seemed okay.

This property was not upto standard, needed updating, staff where not helpful

I would recommend it for any one seeking suitable place in central london in terms of rate and place..

We arrived very late in the evening and the check-in was so quick and easy. The room was spotless and had all of the essentials. Every member of staff that we spoke to was really helpful. Thanks for a lovely stay we will definitely recommend and use again

Stayed one night before getting on cruise ship. Hotel was clean and rooms were comfortable. Close to train station, port, food and shopping. FYI…does not have a/c but weather was cool. Recommend!

The room has old equipment. It needs revitalization.
4.0
The room was extremely small. The lobby looks fine but the inside of the room is very old and gloomy. The shower was actually a disable person's shower and not what we expected. The amenities were bare and inadequate. We do get to Southampton quite often and will certainly not be staying there again. They call it a 4 star hotel - I call it a 2 star hotel at best.

The hotel is close to the train station, the cruise harbor, and a short walk to old Southampton and LOTS of shopping. Staff was efficient, helpful and polite. Breakfast was excellent and buffet-style.
Room very clean, with useful amenities and we enjoyed the small heated pool next to the gym after walking a lot. Bed was quite comfy. THANK YOU

We stayed here for one night after our cruise. The facilities met our needs for a place to stay. The staff was helpful and accommodated our needs. We did not use the restaurant on site. I knew about there not being air conditioned rooms before I booked but based on this I wouldn’t stay here again. Next time I will pay extra to stay somewhere with air conditioning. Coming from the States, we are just used to having AC and without it makes for a tough night of restful sleep.

No a/c unit , safe deposit is not working, it’s hard to move around, room so small .

Staff was very helpful when we checked in

The room didn't appear to be that clean. There was no phone, and bad instant nescafe. Towels were insufficient and very thin. For $250 a night, one should expect more.

Great place to stay before our cruise.

I booked a disabled room. It was extra wide with hand rails however it had a bath in it & not a stand alone shower

It was amazing

Plenty of towels and complimentary tea and coffee. The room was clean, toilet and shower were very clean. Staff were very welcoming.

One of two elevators not working during my stay.
Elevators very small. Restaurant service very slow.
Receptionists excellent. Room also excellent.
4.0
Use of facilities was disappointing, pool would only take 12 people, and was first come first serve and managed poorly with no system in place to arrange use of this
4.0
Hotel is very close to train station and cruise terminal.
Food in restaurant was excellent quality and very reasonably priced.
Room was very clean, well appointed and super comfortable bed.

Just wanted a hotel close to the cruise terminal so we could walk over in the morning. The Novotel ticked all the boxes and the weather was kind come the morning.
Room was as expected, clean and functional. No issues, decent stay and we used a credit from money earned from previous 10 stays.

This hotel does not have air vondotioning and it was extremely warm when we were there. Great location for boarding cruise and shopping. Good value for our one night stay.
4.0
Booked to be as close to the train station as possible and it is actually the nearest, just across the road from the station and nearest to the cruise terminal as well (app 25 minute walk or a taxi app £10) - I was meeting my daughter for her birthday, she works on the ships, so it was an ideal spot. Walking distance to the centre of Southampton too. Staff were really nice, loved having the pool, sauna and gym included. All in all great value.

Good hotel as a whole, breakfast in particular. Room was bad: empty sugar sachet in toilet, bits of torn-up paper on bedroom floor, sofa bed horrendously uncomfortable.

This was a gift for my daughter and her boyfriend they split up months ago was unable to have a refund hotel aware months ago have still received constant updates even though trip no longer happening which I find really upset for her as it is as though the fact she is not going is being rubbed in as it were I realise its probably computer generated but surely when the hotel is informed by phone they should respond It's not about the money I've lost that and accept it however the constant what do you think of check in and service-even asking for credit card for sundries!!Should not be having it!!hotel knew she would not be travelling months ago!! NOT HAPPY. I have no idea about this hotel so don't ask me. They had their payment and probably still let the room, easy money if you can get it. In the past have always booked hotels with insurance on this occasion did not, and I have paid the price as had no idea they would split
