Great overall service. Small room but great location.

The room was not cleaned properly, it was hair in the bed. We booked two superior rooms and got only one. They could not compensate us in any way. The room we stayed in was very cold and there was a recycling station outside the room so we woke up by the noice off throwing glass bottles in the morning. Will not come back again!

Ian the concierge and overall good guy was fabulous. He made our stay so wonderful with great information and friendly attitude. The room was small and would choose a different next time.

We stayed here for my husbands birthday. On arrival we were kindly upgraded to the Terrace suite.
Right from the start we were met but helpful, professional staff. All parts of the hotel were clean and had character.
Great location! Easy to walk to the station, to Mayfair, shops! Easy to get Ubers. Would defiantly recommend.

Absolutely lovely hotel with great staff😊

Just a few days in London to get to as many sites as we could. Staff are super helpful with cabs and getting us to the west end theatre on time.
Always like to test the bar when we can, suggest to try that as well here, you won't be disappointed.

Good comfortable hotel in very convenient location close to Selfridges, Oxford street shopping, And James street outdoor restaurants.

They need to upgrade their mattresses and put actual proper wooden doors on their bathrooms.

The hotel was great and the room was very large and had everything we needed. The hotel itself was a bit outdated and needed renovating to freshen up.
The area for me was to touristy and was not what we were looking for. This is a great place if you want to be in a tourist area. The staff were extremely friendly.

Lovely property, friendly breakfast staff and quiet rooms with decent air conditioning

The staff was very nice and helpful. Especially both of the men in the concierge

The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. We love this part of town. We had a lovely stay.

The hotel staff were amazing. The room is decent sized but a little bit old.

The location is wonderful, in an easily accessible area that is clean and lovely. The rooms were sufficiently clean, but the decor and furniture was rather old, with faded upholstery and drab colours. The lift was also malfunctioning, allowing one to only be able to hail one going up. This made getting in and out take entirely too long. All this said, the staff was pleasant and accommodating. The included breakfast was also very complete.

Overall pretty good but glass bathroom doors with no locks and a gap are very poor design. They cleaned the room but left dirty teacups and told us that wasn’t the cleaner’s job but room service. Crazy.
Then on checking out told me they weren’t offering the VIP benefit on beverage credit now and tried to charge me £10 for two cokes.
Not the best stay.

It's a lovely property to stay at for me as a solo traveller. I've stayed a few times now and I like the fact I'm valued, recognised and 'welcomed back' at check in.

Probably one of the friendliest and helpful hotel stays in London. Staff all excellent.

Room was on a low floor, front facing. We asked to change and received a smaller room, we think

My wife and I wanted a base for two nights as we were attending Andreas Bocatelli and Robbie Williams concerts on consecutive nights in Hyde Park. The Mandaville was pretty much perfect for this being only a couple of minute walk from Selfridges and 15mins from the north end of Hyde Park.
The superior room was on a little snug. But, pretty standard size for many London hotels and overall fine for our 2-night stay.
If staying longer I suspect we'd have struggled to unpack as storage was limited to one wardrobe which incorporated a unit with 3 smallish shelves and a safe.
There is also a well stocked minibar in the room along with the usual desk/dress table.
The bed was comfortable enough if not outstanding. For me the feather pillows were somewhat unsupportive as they quickly flattened and offered little support if sitting up in bed to watch TV.
Breakfast was also good with a nice selection of hot and cold plus eggs freshly cooked to order.
My only gripe, and the reason for 4* rather than 5*, is the lack of soundproofing from the windows. At times, I thought our window was open given how much every outside noise resonated into the room. Particularly the screeching Seagull (04:30) each morning and the bottle bin emptying around 07:00 on the Saturday morning.

Well located hotel to Hyde park, bond. Street and Oxford street. Clean friendly and comfortable. Recommended

Very useful if your watching anything at Hyde park.

Excellent location, beautiful hotel with fabulous staff.

All in all it was a good stay. The room was clean and confortable. Althought quite confortable the bed was a bit too soft for me as I prefer a firmer mattress. The coffee machine wasn't very good as you cant put a cup under it and the coffee is short measured. The breakfast was your typical buffett style you get in every hotel but for the money I felt it was disappointing as it was no better than any other hotel. The staff where great and very helpfull. The location is excellent as everything is within walking distance and the tube is just around the corner. I think the main reason for the expensive price tag is the location as everything else is pretty much standard.

A lovely hotel in a great location. People were friendly and attentive. Breakfast wasn’t great. So many good places to eat away from the hotel I would recommend getting out.
Also, key card system for rooms is very old. Put it near you phone and it will stop working.

A very nice stay, good breakfast, adequate room and very nice and accommodating staff. Would recommend

The location is UNBEATABLE. Quick walk to shops, bars, and restaurants. Easy walk to the tube station. The room was simple and not as beautifully decorated as we saw in photos of the property, but it was comfortable and the air conditioning was WONDERFUL. The bar/restaurant had a delicious breakfast (extra cost), and we loved the quirky theming.

Very nice hotel in central London. Excellent sound insulation - the room was very quiet in spite of two large windows looking out onto a street. Tasty breakfast. Got an unexpected room upgrade too, very happy overall.

Service from all staff members was excellent. Our room was ready by 10 AM and we were allowed to check in early. Room was very comfortable, with a seating area and desk. Bathroom had a bathtub and a separate shower. There are many amazing restaurants and good shopping nearby.

Room was lovely, apart from being on 8th floor heard all the noise from outside, windows were very poor and shocking repair work. No black out curtains still light at midnight. Noise out side was dreadful all night. Staff at reception were very good. Requested an early call for 5 in morning got it at 5.15. Needed to leave for treatment by 5.30, not so good. Was able to book a taxi which did arrive on time. A positive stay with all the little problems and would stay again.

During my hotel stay, I requested an early check-out and was assured by the front desk that the unused night would be refunded. I was told to contact the reservation team for the refund, but I was directed to Expedia since I booked with them. After speaking with multiple executives at Expedia, I was informed that the refund decision lies with The Mandeville Hotel. I eventually contacted the hotel's General Manager, but my email was directed to the Front Office Manager (FOM) instead. I was informed that the FOM would investigate the refund request, but it has been two weeks since my last correspondence and I have not received any response from FOM or the GM of the hotel. I am confused as to why it is taking so long for them to refund my money, considering that I was confirmed the refund by the front desk staff.
