The room was dingy, and dirty - the floors, and all surfaces like the desk, coffee table, tv stand and table top were sticky! Our socks got filthy walking on the floor! There were spiders and roaches seem multiple times over 4 days. This was the second Wyndom property in NJ I would never return to solely on lack of cleanliness. Hotel front desk was vacant every time we went looking for toilet paper and soap and had to hang around waiting for someone in the back to finally hear our shouts to get anyones attention.

I regret not reading the reviews before booking, but for $300 a night, I expected at least a decent room. Unfortunately, this place is extremely dilapidated, run-down, dirty, and somewhat unsafe. Our first room was absolutely terrible—there were holes in the walls, and the door appeared to have been repeatedly forced open, and it wouldn’t even lock properly. I demanded a different room, and while they moved us to a suite that was slightly better, it was still severely outdated. The steps leading up to the rooms were crumbling, and the cigarette ashtrays overflowing with butts added to the overall trashy appearance. Save yourself the trouble and don’t stay here.

Not so good is an understatement...dirty, proprty falling apart and we saw no sign of repairs

Average, hotel needs upgrading

We were shown 3 rooms, all had problems, air conditioning not working, door locks not working, security camera wires cut, questionable guest walking around outside and smell of marijuana- we felt unsafe and cancelled our reservation.

A little out dated but huge room. Bed was comfortable but there was some sort of spray or sanitizer randomly going off. Awkward getting into room due to outside steps. Breakfast was decent. Staff had difficulty understanding questions

No pool open, no king room available and charged for the upgrade eventhough it wasnt my fault.

Linens were not in the room when we checked in. Our door looked like the room had been broken into and we were unable to close the room door without using a screwdriver.

My family spent 3 days there. We learned that you get what you pay for. The breakfast was unappetizing. The room was clean except the desk was a bit sticky. The plumbing worked well. Housekeeping must be requested. The desk staff during the day wasn't hospitable.

Roaches!!!! Staff was friendly

The rooms smelled heavily of marijuana and the doors didn't lock or shut well. A large group started smoking and blasting music around 12:20am outside our room. I do not recommend staying here.

Hotel room was so dirty and it smelled like something died in there that we had to get our room moved.

We booked 1 night here for a family trip as a stop over to our final destination. The price was right and the amenities sounded good too. After the time I could cancel my reservation, my teenage kids found some reviews online that led us to believe we had made a horrible selection. Needless to say, we were worried.
At the check in desk, there was a sign that said "pool is temporarily closed". My husband looked at the pool area and whispered to me "there is nothing temporary about that". I thought we were doomed.
The hotel is more like an apartment complex than a hotel with several buildings and each entry to your room from the outside rather than a central hallway.
When we arrived at our room, we were pleasantly surprised. The floor was clean hardwood, the beds were comfortable, the kitchen area was nice and clean, though a little dated.
Really the only complaints we had was the couch was very uncomfortable and the TV didn't offer many channels or any streaming services.
Breakfast was more than serviceable with waffles, eggs, potatoes, protein, various breads, juices and coffee.
All-in-all it was very a very nice stay. It certainly wasn't a 5-start hotel but that's not what we were expected. It worked well for our family and I would stay there again if we were travelling through.

Pool out of order in August at the Jersey Shore. The reason I picked it was price but pool was very important.
Also, breakfast poorly restocked. No eggs 2 of 3 mornings. Containers not refilled even though there was more than an hour to go.

The free breakfast wasn’t really that good and there wasn’t too much and the pool was closed, but they did offer us a discount to use the community pool, which was nice

No cups in the room, no soap, no shampoo
lots of ants walking on the floor.

First off Room 313 had significant water damaged evident by the brown stain ceilings and lifting floor boards. The room smelled like old water and possible mold. Room 314 had a damaged door and we couldnt swipe in so they gave us keys. And the keys wouldn't let us in so we would be locked out several times throughout our stay requiring help from maintenance and the front desk attendant. And they had difficulty letting us in!! When I asked for new rooms they said they were booked but the parking lots were never full! I would never stay here again! Stayed here years ago and the property has went down hill. Also, we were stalked by a shirt less drug addict at building 4! Unsafe for women, families, and kids! Never again!!

Some bugs, waterproof cover on mattress was very hot, no local TV channels, VERY loud as right next to highway, poor quality breakfast. I felt very uncomfortable in the area. Spend the extra $20 and stay somewhere else.

I made the reservation 16 hours before my arrival, which was at 4:00pm EDT.
There were multiple flies in the room (not a big deal, that happens) but when I went to lie down on the bed after doing the work I had to do in town, multiple small bugs appeared from under the sheets. I squished them.
As this was 3 hours after I originally checked in, the staff told me I had to cancel within 2 hours to receive my money back for the night, even though I did not even turn over the sheets. I did not know I was supposed to check for bugs in the room within a certain time frame. No change of room was offered. I informed the staff I would be leaving and gave back my keys. Before I could leave I saw the staff greeting friends (boyfriend?) that brought food, and the staff member biking around the property having fun.
Even more scary was the fact that when I appeared at the front desk, no one was present so I went around the desk knocking for help, and the staffing told me never to come behind the desk. She seemed scared. I did not know I had to be on my guard at this place.
Finally, pool advertised was closed, and the workout room had visibly broken equipment.
I used to live 10 minutes from the hotel, so the area itself is not awful. However, the hotel itself was scary, not attended to, and disrespectful.

When I was looking through finding a hotel to book I didn’t check the reviews beforehand if I did I most likely wouldn’t have booked the stay when we got there found out pool was closed due to inspection concerns than the 200 deposit that was taken out when we left today the 353 for the room and 2 dogs my opinion of the reason why the 200 was taken out is because if the room was a mess or things broken which wasn’t of neither when we checked out so I will be following the 200 making sure it goes back in account the room was clean no complaints though I started feeling itchy after reading the reviews of a problem with bed bugs that’s all I needed to have read when I got up made sure I had no bites and I put everything in a plastic bag until when I got home I sprayed everything with my 91 % isopropyl alcohol the breakfast I didn’t even dare finish I had a bagel didn’t taste well with me so I threw it out I hardly drank what they had until we were on the road to home ate and drank in future I now will make sure what I’m paying for is worthy of the stay like momma used to say when you pay cheap you get cheap when you pay good you get good but not true even good ones can have issues I hope this place does what they need to , to make it beautiful because it can have potential it’s all about who runs it and if they care about their guests or money just

This place was horrible. Smelled bad. Unsafe.

If Wyndham could see the rooms and how neat up they are I think they would remover their name. Room smelled sour. Pool was closed - even though it looked clean. Paying extra for an amenity that is not available is stealing.

Rooms look nothing like the pictures. Rooms smell like mold. Roaches in my room.

I am not sure where to start. First off, these photos are extremely doctored. It is misleading and irresponsible on Expedia’s part. This room was not cheap. Almost $400. I brought my husband and two young children who were excited for a hotel stay and a night in Asbury. Upon check in I knew something was off. The exterior is completely dilapidated. There were people in pajamas wondering around and scowling. Pit bulls being walked, folks clearly living in their cars. We did not stay here as there was no lock on the door. See attached photo. Do not book this hotel. Expedia should really be ashamed. The staff did their best to be accommodating.

Everything about this place was just a little off. I did not sleep a wink because of the feeling that I was being watched. It seemed like some people lived there and when I left it appeared someone may have slept in their car. Not worth the money at all.

No pool and pool was advertised and a selling factor for 2 children …. Property was clean and check in easy but again NO POOL

The hotel room was dirty and we decided not to stay aftern seeing the room.
