The reception was not so welcoming. The room was fine but very outdated. The breakfast was very poor, they did not have a welcoming attitude at all, the variety was very low. Most dishes were finished and no one refilled them. We reserved for sauna and pool but they were closed. A very very poor quality.

I often come to this hotel. The rooms are great and clean. Fitness and swimming pool is also quite good. For your dinner you can stay there and enjoy the restaurant.

Fantastic: pool at the 11th floor with great view on the city, wonderful hilly jogging park with 2.6km marked track, great breakfast, great rooms, good condition and clean. In one word: perfect !

Nice staff but a little tired and in need of a bit of love and care. Small blankets and a heater that didn’t work well made sleep difficult. But staff were great.

Overall good, but rooms are poorly soundproofed. Good breakfast. Outdoor parking, insecure and accessible to public. Located in sub-rural area of the town, with very few alternatives to dining, other than at the hotel.

I stayed with my 2 children for 1 night. We arrived very late and checked-in without a problem. We enjoyed our stay, especially the swimming pool and continental breakfast. Thank you!

I was on a Business trip in Germany and I usually try NOT to go for a Hotel chain to support the local economy. However after suffering a bad experience with a small hotel the night before I thought why not go for the Mercure in Luedenscheid! AND WOW, I made the right choice here. The hotel was recently refurbished and all looks brand new. Staff were VERY VERY friendly. Ive been to many Mercure hotels but this one stands out as my favourite by a country mile. Restaurant was clean, staff were friendly there too and the food was tasty, fresh! Had loads of option for breakfast too.

Stayed 12 nights with my wife. Had a great trip despite the weather. The Hotel was excellent, all the staff were really helpful, offering the best tips for local visits and responding to every question with positivity. Excellent buffet breakfast each day, with wonderful staff to help us and welcome us to breakfast each morning. Made full use of the Sauna and Swimming Pool. Thoroughly enjoyed the stay and would certainly have no problems recommending this hotel. Thank you Mercure Ludenscheid for a wonderful stay.

No airco. Single room pretty small, especially the bathroom. No locker in room. Rooms are renovated, but rest of building is still very 1970's with delapidated staircases and crumbling, filthy concrete. Not worth four star rating, closer to three stars.

Hotel did not advise us of renovation work going on the floor below us. On two mornings out of three we were woken up shortly after 08.00 by the sound of heavy drills. Hotel offered no alternative room or compensation.

Hotel is located just a few minutes drive from the highway. We got the suite and were pleasantly shocked by the size of the room. The bedroom was very spacious as was the bathroom there was a second bathroom in the entry hall with a toilet and shower. The second room had two love seats. One love seat converted into a very comfortable bed. Not the usual fold out bed where you always feel the metal bars. Instead there is a pullout mattress integrated into the seat. As a bonus there is a huge pool on the upper floor. Most hotel pools seem like over-zed hot tubs. This was a proper 25 meter long pool. Everything was clean. We arrived earlier than planned. I asked about getting access to the room. The room was not ready yet (2 pm) staff whipped into action and got the room ready in about 20 minutes. Breakfast was also very satisfying.

We had not stayed in a Mercure hotel before, but certainly will again if the buffet breakfast is anything to go by. There was every sort of bakery product, cheese, meat, preserve, fruit and cereal that anyone could desire. The pool is lovely, the rooms well appointed, and its position in the town is perfect.

It is a good business and on the road hotel, they have a small forest walk for excersice, this could not be beat bye any gym!! Food and drinks are excellent as well. Wonderful staff in all areas of the hotel, it is my second time in this hotel, was here in 2009 and this time it was much better.

If you are staying at this hotel I am guessing you a business traveller since this town is not exactly a tourist destination. Comfortable, clean and convinient. The only hotel I was able to find on expedia in this little German Town. Though a very small room, the space was used very smartly and it actually felt spacious. I would stay there again if I had to go back on business.
