Attractive property, kind and attentive front desk staff. Room was in need of a refresh. Had breakfast one morning, was only person in restaurant, but service was lacking. Other morning, restaurant closed without explanation. One bright spot was the bar. Great drinks, friendly bartender.

This Boutique Hotel is amazing. A gem rarely found. A beautiful art deco modern gorgeous place to be. Very friendly staff great service. They have a beautiful Art Deco bar and Restaurant. There is an amazing whimsical secret Speakeasy through the Looking Glass too! You can easily walk to Orpheum Theater (across the street) Old Market shops, restaurants, the new Gene Leahy Mall Park and Riverfront areas.

Was a perfect location to attend event at the Orpheum Theater. There was a Speakeasy next door, in-house restaurant and several other restaurant options within walking distance. Overall a good experience.

Everything was great. The staff are friendly and attentive.
Excellent location.

Hotel was nice. However, alarms went off twice on Oct. 5th. There was no water for awhile that evening. Also, lots of doors slamming overnight and unable to sleep. Didn’t get anything taken off for all of the issues, very disappointing.

The hotel itself is very nice, however first impressions speak volumes. As my daughter and I were coming in the lobby door, the young valet gentleman stood at his podium not offering to hold a door or assist us with our numerous bags, then our initial encounter with the front desk older lady wasn’t a warm friendly one, but we got our keys and headed to our room. We noticed the makeup mirror in the bathroom didn’t work, there was no charger in the room, the phone didn’t work to call the front desk, and there was no water pressure in the shower, when I nicely explained this to the lady at the desk, she told me to bring the mirror to her to be charged, said “thank for the info” on the phone and the city was working in the water and it will be fixed by that evening. We then left and went on with our day, upon returning at midnight we found we had no housekeeping for the day, no washcloths, and not surprising, all previous items had not been addressed. The night desk clerk was very nice, offered to personally move all our items to another room, we kindly refused as we were very tired. The next morning we left our room, took the mirror to the desk were we we greeted by two very professional and friendly staff… they acknowledged my concerns and promptly fixed all problems with the room. Had we been treated like this from the start I would have given this place 5 stars all around…again 1st impressions can speak volumes.

I give Hotel Deco mixed reviews. The hotel was within walking distance of bars and restaurants, and the staff was very efficient, but the room had little closet space, the chairs and beds were uncomfortable, and the wall sockets were not conveniently located. The bathroom drain was clogged but Maintenance fixed it in a timely manner.

Hotel is great, desk and bar staff seemed very flustered and bothered. The gentleman who was working the desk late at night and the doormen were very friendly though.

The room was really nice.

This hotel is a jewel box! Love the colors and art and decor! BUT the lighting in the bathroom was very dark. And the water pressure was not good. Other than those things, this place is clean and beautiful and in a great location.

The desk lady was knowledgeable about the hotel said it was built in the 1930's. The hotel was unique and we only had to walk about 8 or 9 blocks to where we went for a concert. The only 2 down falls were the shower pressure wasnt very good but it got the job done. Our room otherwise was very nice and even had a smart mirror. The other down fall was that we had to wait a long time for staff when we checked in and when we were checking out. There was no bell or phone to call to get ahold of anyone. And we needed our vehicle they had valley parking, park for us. But the staff was very friendly over all it was a good stay.

Nice big rooms. Noisy streets at night - fire engines, loud motorcycles. Bring earplugs! Parking was easy. One front desk woman was very unpleasant and unhelpful. When asking for directions, told us to just use a gps and was quite dismissive. Dirty birds restaurant is a 4 min walk and delicious! Not sure we would stay here again.

no water pressure for 6 nights!
"We have a pump on order"
Slow trickle shower.... zero cold water in the shower.... hot trickle! Things should be disclosed prior to booking

Pros:
The young man who operates the shuttle is very nice. The room is large. The bed is very comfortable.
Cons:
At Check in, they stated to me that I had only one room with two beds however I had made the reserved with two rooms with two beds. The girl behind the counter went to the manager to see if there was anyway they could get another room, but that the hotel was full and she didn’t think that would be possible. They did find another room.
There had been a storm a few days before, so there were no keys to get into any of the rooms so somebody from the staff had to let people in their rooms anytime someone wanted to leave and then reenter their room.
The TVs were not working.
We went to the restaurant in the hotel for breakfast. ‘Sorry we have no eggs’
So we ordered toast..
Bathroom: under the sink in bathroom was not clean..
I dropped my hairbrush and it landed under the sink, I went to retrieve it, and there were items under the sink from previous inhabitants. Such as a hair scrunchie and a lot of dirt. See photo. The ceiling in the bathroom was peeling and in need of repair.
See photo. I asked repeatedly to discuss with the manager hoping to get some type of reduction in the nightly rate. I was told the manager was off duty but he would call me. I never received a call.

Hotel is modern and clean, staff was friendly, but our room was initially kissing a trash can, which we got later. The hot water in the bathroom sink didnt work and the shower stopping draining but there was no maintenance person available to fix it.

difficult to give a full review as the hotel/city of Omaha had suffered major power outages from a major storm that rolled thru the day before; front desk service people were bending over backwards trying to keep everyone happy and did a great job. The electronic door access had been knocked out, forcing front deck personnel to open doors for guests. They did so without complaint, which was more than I could have handled.

Parking situation was a bit of a mess, and the shower pressure was terrible but overall it was a nice place!

Valet parking was awesome. Hotel was extremely clean and well kept. Unfortunately we stayed after a storm had hit a few days earlier so some amenities were not available, but did come on the next day.
4.0
We had very low water pressure making it difficult for everyone to shower daily. They key machine was not working so we had to be escorted to our room all weekend. No internet was available, phones did not work in the rooms neither did the TV.

So where to start. The bathroom: the water pressure was extremely poor. The sink’s hot water was barely coming out. The shower had ok pressure but still pretty low. There was an A/C unit or something that was fairly loud the whole time.
The bed was…eh. Low to the ground (not a big deal) but pretty firm so my back hurt when I got up. The pillows were nice. The room was clean and fairly quiet. There was a very odd design in that there was a frosted glass between the bathroom and bedroom. So if it’s late at night/early morning and you use the bathroom, it’ll shine brightly in the living room, waking people up. No way of blocking it.
The description of the breakfast was buffet…this is not true. There was no buffet but a fairly limited breakfast. For the price, not worth it. We knew the breakfast would not be free but if we went there again, would not at all eat there again.
The staff was very nice so that’s a big plus.

no microwave , tv didn’t work, nor did the key cards work so they had to walk us up, and it was loud , you could hear everything going on outside 😐, this is absolutely
NOT FOR FAMILIES!

Great staff, great food at the hotel.

Service was real great at the bar downstairs. Should not take reservations if you can not give your guests their own key to get into their own room. Elevators were not working well and the front attendant made me feel stupid in front of another guest as she said you have to hold the button on that floor only. the water pressure in the building is absolutely terrible as well. I know it is a historic building but the Magnolia is as well and they do not have these issues. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.
4.0
The air conditioning did not work, there was very little water pressure, the shower was like standing under a dripping faucet that was hard to regulate the temperature, and there is no parking forcing one to use the Valet at $25. We won’t be coming back. Looks good in pictures but that’s it.
10.0
I only gave it a 4 for property conditions because of the water pressure. It was great, but it wasn’t bad either: they were in the middle of changing all the shower heads.

Lamp beside the bed was broke and not working. Bar sink spout broke. Light switches not working. Had to walk around room to turn on lights and find switches.

Hard to find parking. Water in room was 5 dollars per bottle. No complementary breakfast. Just sad.

Everything was good. Shower could have better water pressure though

Had a great stay! Room was nice and clean. Location was great for exploring the old market area. The front desk staff provided excellent suggestions for activities and restaurants. The speakeasy attached the to hotel was my favorite part. Only downsides were the water pressure (seriously, believe the other reviews on this!) and that they didn't refresh the room on the 2nd day of my stay.
