I heard this hotel is old and it was rundown. I will never stay there again and never get an all inclusive. I went out for dinner because there were no good options for dinner at all.

I would give this place 3 stars but the cockroaches killed it for me. So discussing to be walking around the property and they are all over not to mention the 2 we saw in our room.

I’m pretty disappointed with this place. It says that it’s 4 stars but I’m pretty sure that was 30 years ago. The place needs a remodel and constantly smelled like sewage. The staff was excellent for the most part but watch out for the “concierge “ they’re just a time share scam and they intentionally try to make you feel uncomfortable if you don’t play into their game. The food lacks taste and quality, all the bread I got was stale. I will not be back.

If you want to be treated really good make sure to tip the waiters and bartenders. We did tip but once you stop tipping the waiters start to ignore you. For example they say us down for breakfast it took them 30 min and it was only because I got up and asked who can grab us a cup of coffee.. In order to get really good service you need to tip them all the time you are there. Another thing as soon as you check in you get harassed to become a partner. We said no multiple of times and told them we weren’t interested but they kept pushing. They even followed us to the pool area after had told them no and that we just wanted to relax.

I liked the swim up bar, the staff and the beach front property. Food was good, good variety each day. Excellent concierge, insightful to help with activities or shuttles.
What I didnt like: Not a fan of sharing the pool to the other resorts. No coffee machine in the lobby. Issues with key getting into our room.

I really loved the staff, all were so kind and helpful. Everything that I asked for, they would provide with a smile and a good attitude.

This hotel is absolutely fantastic. The facilities are well kept and clean. Aside from the beautiful facilities, the staff is beyond amazing from the check in with Fredy, Gustavo in the buffet to Florencio in the resturaunt Bogavante. Luz making poolside pizzas (she was the reason we returned this time), the spa staff was amazing and pool side waitresses were fantastic. On our last day we met Javier, definitely a leader. We were having a conversation and he told us about some menu items coming soon and mentioned Chilies en Nogada. I mentioned I was saddend to be leaving in about a hour because these chilies are my favorite. Javier made something happen and he, Luz and another chef met me at check out with none other than a Chilie en Nogada along with fresh cut fruit with Chamoy for my daughter. Cancun is easy to fall in love with but the people make this place exceptional. Great job Royal Solaris, your team is top notch.

In regards to the internet service poor or none at all, after speaking to the front desk on numerous occasions about the situation the issue was not taking care of. Some restaurants were close, and the meal choices sucks. The lack of entertainment made my stay somewhat boring after 3 days. I will not be staying here again.

Air conditioners don't work in the entire hotel. Some people tried sleeping on the pool chairs. Kids were crying. I had to stay another hotel even though I was paying for Royal Solaris because the room was 84 degrees. I stayed at this hotel 7 years ago. The roof of the main dininroom collapsed in the middle of the night. We had our meals outdoors in the summer heat. I thougt it was a one time issue so I booked the same hotel. It was a mistake. They didn't refund my money.

The only bad part of our short stay was the non- functioning of the WiFi in the room, which wasn’t repaired despite several reminders.

My daughter and I enjoyed our stay at your hotel. However if I could have fixed anything it was a bit warm and there was rarely enough towels around the pool. Aside from the 7 p m closing time of the pool everything else was delightful.

Just got back from our trip yesterday. Everything was good, but definitely NOT the best food. We read many reviews saying the same thing, but everyone has different tastes in food, so we decided to book anyway. Breakfast was good -- continental and typical Mexican food. But lunch and dinner options weren't always that great.

I really liked the hotel a lot - its service, the food, the way the staff treated us, the cleanliness, and the safety protocols when Hurricane Beryl was threatening to arrive. The only downside, PERSONALLY speaking, is that they try to sell you a membership. They invite you to a "VIP" breakfast and are a bit insistent to the point where you have to leave a deposit to attend. The membership itself isn't bad; I just feel it's geared towards older people in the United States, with benefits that could be significant if you travel alone (no kids) and it takes about two hours of your time (you are more than welcome to decline the breakfast). Other than that, everything was excellent, and we want to come back.

The facility was rundown, there were holes in the roof in multiple areas. Water kept leaking from the roof in multiple areas. One of the areas was the snack area by the pool. Water would fall on to your plate if you didn’t cover it. We couldn’t flush the toilet because instead of a chain in the toilet tank it had a wire holding it and it kept falling off. The food options were very limited. The buffet had two stations with pretty much the same food. It was very difficult to get reservations for the restaurants. We stayed 10 days and we were only able to make reservations for 2 nights. This is a time share and the majority of the staff caters more to the “associates”. One of the waiters lied about the coffee machine being broken when we asked for coffee. He also lied about Splenda not being used at the resort even though we had used it through our entire stay. There were a few exceptions of staff members who gave us really good service. This was an all inclusive resort and we had to ask multiple times for our fridge to be restocked with water and beer. However, the staff seemed to get upset when we asked for the items. There were too many bad experiences and would not recommend this hotel to anyone looking to vacation in Cancun.

The property is okay for the price. The food was mediocre. We probably won’t be back to this property bc of the food and not much fun things to do for kids

I enjoyed the pool areas of the hotel, the kids pool area is amazing, very nice pools. The bedrooms were clean and the air condition was perfect, the 3rd night I literally had severe back pain the bed was not comfortable for me, but that wasn’t an issue because I knew I was not at my home. I got up and had to take Tylenol. The towels were old and smelled very sour. The fruit/pastries during meal time were great, the entrees selection was not so great for me, yes there were things I ate but not enjoyed. The drinks were horrible and too sweet except the lime margarita. My total experience was to enjoy time with my family and that I did, the beach is beautiful but we could not use it because of the high tide. The staff is lovely but I don’t like the hassling to listen to some sales speech, I am there on vacation and if I want to buy membership or so I will do that on my own, I don’t need to be bogged down. The shows are very enjoyable. Please get new towels, or next time I will bring my own

The property was okay and the food options pretty good, but the staff were rude, disrespectful and dismissive. It started and check in and ended at checkout. Just asking basic questions like 'Can you please tell me where can we get an espresso coffee' were met with rolled eyes and no answer. Pressured by mulitple staff to 'buy a membership' for around $12,000 US. Appears the funds are needed to help fund a new resort fund. The club membership they are selling is not BBB accredited. Stayed 3 nights but had 4 room changes. It appears that if you have booked through a third party and have a wrist band anything but gold or yellow, you are an inconvenience. Even the color of the pool towels you are given defines the type of guest you are and you are treated accordingly. I will NEVER stay here or at any of the affiliated hotels (Royal Solaris Los Cabos, GR Solaris Cancun, or GR Caribe by Solaris) ever again, and I strongly recommend anyone considering staying to look for an alternative.

I overall had a pleasant experience. The property itself is a bit dated, particularly the pool area, which could use some updating. However, the variety and quality of the food were excellent, with several restaurant options that catered to different tastes.
One downside was the comfort of the mattresses. They were not very comfortable, and we discovered that they were propped up with blankets rolled under the head side, which likely contributed to our back pain.
On a positive note, the check-in and check-out process was seamless, making for a hassle-free arrival and departure. Despite some of the drawbacks, we enjoyed our stay and appreciated the friendly service and dining options.

I will absolutely never stay here again! No amenities, dirty, moldy walls, stained linens, horrible service from the front desk, buffet was horrible looked like mush. The only good food was the pizza from the brick oven outside, though it was only open a part of the day.
