Very large room. Executive suite. Only one small window so no fresh air was circulating. Very nice staff.

The Spa and gym area is charging extra. Not appropriate these days anymore and should be standard in this hotel classification

Hotel is nice and location is good. The elevator system is terrible... just get normal ones

A. Dry friendly hotel. Serves one of the better breakfast that I have had. Nice selection of food. Our first room wasn’t in good working order and they moved us right away no questions asked. The pool is on top of the building so you get a great view of the city. The Spa is very nice as well. Had a great time as the location was a 10 minute walk to all the shopping you wanted and a 10 minute walk to old town for all the food you wanted. If you want Asian food it is all around the hotel.

Great place, friendly staff had a problem with my room and they moved me to another room right away. The pool is awesome really nice hotel

The hotel is well appointed with a seperate drive in entrance. There are a LOT of rooms here, but all are large for a city centre hotel. Well decorated, comfy bed and modern bathroom.
Only minor point is that the lift is a little complicated to operate. You'll see what I mean. And all the TV stations were in German, no other languages available.
There was a bit of a queue at check in but the staff dealt with it well. A big smile on the guy at check out so very friendly.
I would recommend this hotel.

Our stay was overall ok. Easy walk to the train, food, shopping and the old town. We stayed a week. The pool was out of service the first 4, and the workout equipment was out of service. Once the pool was open, it was too cold for us to swim in. Bummer, because we really wanted to have a gym, spa and pool to relax in. My partner got a facial and had a mild breakout. It wasn’t worth the rate because those important amenities we booked the hotel for, weren’t working. But the stay in the city was cool.

Location is a short walk from the busy streets with many asians restaurants and marts around.
Internet was horrible in the room except right behind the main door. Provided two single bed joint together as one big bed. Toilet is super bright like like makeup store.

Great location, near to the Eurostar train station & the town center. The staff is very professional and speak english.
The room is well laid out with a desk. The toiletries are of very good quality. The room temperature was perfect, no need for adjustment. Breakfast was great, the scrambled eggs were perfect (thank you chef).
It would be nice to see some brighter colours in the breakfast room. I highly recommend this hotel.

Gym as extra cost. First time I see this in Dusseldorf. On top of that - gym was only a running machine and a cycle, a small pool and as sauna. I was expecting weights

The hotel is very nice, room was clean. Although I must stress this, the wifi was HORRIBLE. Always disconnected, everything struggled to load. FIX THIS PLEASE, PEOPLE HAVE STUFF TO DO AND NEED WIFI. Also, our TV was incredibly basic and the remote didn’t work because the batteries were rusty and degrading. Other than this, it’s a great hotel, didn’t have any issues otherwise. Cool area too. FIX THE WIFI.

I didn't like that the pool was such a high additional cost, and only accessible until 7pm.

Really surprised by the overwhelmingly positive reviews of this property. The room was very dated, with large stains on the carpet, there were broken switches on the wall and one of the bedside lights was broken. The room had a funny damp smell. Maybe we were just really unlucky with our room, however a big problem generally was the reception. There didn’t seem to be enough staff on reception for the number of guests checking in/out/needing help. We stayed for just one night but needed to visit reception 4 times, and every time there was a queue of around 30 people waiting to be seen. The reception staff were doing their best but just seemed overwhelmed by the number of guests.
The hotel was in a good location, easy to walk to the river and not far from the station. Although on a main street it wasn’t noisy.

Nice hotel in a good location and staff were friendly. Booked it for access to the pool only to find out that was €15 extra. Would have been nice to know that up front

Staffs are so kind and supportive. When I told them I needed hot water, they kindly lent me an electric kettle. Also they prepared lunch box for me as I had to leave before breakfast starts.

Speedy check-in by a staff member who remained friendly, calm and efficient despite three different things he had to do at the same time. Impressive ! Good location, walking distance to the Düsseldorf main railway station and the city centre. Very comfortable beds, nice and clean rooms. My only reserve relates to the pool, which is nice, on the top floor, with a great view on the (ugly) city. That said, it was not clear to me from the hotels.com description that access to the pool/spa area had to be paid extra. Maybe I did not notice some small asterisk footnote. These unpleasant extras should be shown very prominently in the description of the hotel. I got lucky, because the great receptionist saw my surprise and threw in a free access to the pool area. Second comment : pool hours between11 am and 7 pm are a showstopper for business travelers and not really user-friendly. Try 6 am to 9 pm. All that said, great hotel, and despite my comments, I will come back.

Hotel was fine. No hot tub in the spa was a let down and the pillows were awful but the rooms were clean and spacious. Food was also nice.

We are with friends, we would like to have a drink in the evening, but the bar is closed at 21:30, a little bit disappointed. The reception didn’t tell us how the elevator works, we had to find out by ourselves. Outside the elevator is a small screen, there we need to choose the floor and then the screen shows which of the 3 elevators we need to take.

Lovely hotel in terms of contemporary decor and great facilities (pool and spa). Only downsides were that
The room had a horrible damp smell and the breakfast a bit average

I was stayin at floor 3 and didn’t have access to internet (it would come and go every 5 minutes) and the staff wasn’t of much help.

Executive room is spacious; comfortable bed, good desk area for work, TV offers German and English channels, the power shower is brilliant, good amenities in the room: wardrobe, suitcase space, ironing board etc.
Hotel WiFi is good for phone use but not for laptop connection.
Hotel staff were friendly, especially the young man who is dreaming to work at The Shangri-la in London - wonderful customer service from him. Room was exceptionally clean, with good natural light in the room (#386).
Will definitely stay again.

Horrible service in reception, 1 person working an 3 person doing other things. I did reservation with Hotels, and check in took 50 minutes.
Service at breakfast and rom was great, but the service in reception was so bad I will pick another hotel next time.

When we told the manager about an HVAC issue (our room was too hot), he immediately did everything to remedy the problem, including giving us multiple choices of rooms to move to.

It is very nice, I always use it when in dusseldorf, since it was Nikko Hotel, but there are no more toiletries, shoe shine, etc.

Old hotel, staff is not helpful. I wanted to change a harder pillow but was told unpossible that all the pillows are the same. It was a lie, my colleague stayed in another room did has a harder pillow. I eventually got it but the communication was just painful. Also receptionist not helpful either, one hairless guy refused to help me with my heavy luggage and seems “angry” that I asked for help. He replied me very boldly that they don’t have enough staff to help. Also one day my room was not cleaned. I called for room cleaning but they also refused at first. The over impression is that it was so painful to communicate with every staff, they tried all means, even lying, to avoid extra work. No smile, no one say sorry etc… will not come again definitely.
