The room was clean. The water pressure was great. The bed was comfortable. The room is average size. Your typical small desk with rolling chair, a sit down chair, and a bed. They have food, soda, snacks for sale in the lobby with an easy to use self check out system.
The elevator is very slow and you can never tell if it was coming because the light won't always stay on. I had to press it several times before it would respond. I told the front desk and they seemed aware. No breakfast. $30 a night for parking, which seemed overpriced. The hotel is older but pretty well maintained. I've stayed in better quality hotels in the area for less.

I’m disappointed that my room had a weird smell in it. I was too tired to change rooms by the time I checked into hotel. I’m assuming that I would have been moved if I spoke to someone.

The hot tub was broke which is why we chose this hotel over a cheaper one. Parking was terrible!!! Not one parking spot open. Had to park in the McDonald’s parking lot and hope we didn’t get towed.

Overall, this was a great stay. It's in a great location within walking distance of all of the Costa Mesa breweries; just a 20 minute drive from either the beach or Disney. The front desk staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. The shower in the room was magnificent, one of the best in a hotel of this value.
Just a few little cons: 1 - the elevators need to be replaced. I never fully felt safe in the elevators, they were slow and loud and grinding, the buttons never worked, the lights flickered inside. I truly think an elevator renovation would go such a long way in making this place feel more luxurious. 2 - the room was clean, but our refrigerator needed to be replaced. Something had gone bad and it smelled horrible.

Rooms are nice in pictures but the rooms are dirty in person. It’s overpriced for what you get.

Hotel was very dated. Carpet was not clean. Elevator barely worked. Did not seem to be well maintained property. Beds were fairly comfortable and room was pretty spacious. Bathroom was fairly clean. Not able to open any windows and with carpet the room was stuffy. Close to major street with loud cars. Will not stay there again.

Great stay. Love the convenient mini store in the lobby with self check out. Rooms were clean and beds were extremely comfy. Heard no noises from surrounding rooms. Parking is $30 overnight past 10am.

We did have some issues and had to switch to a different room which had a different issue. But the hotel did recognize the inconveniences and I am happy with their resolution.

Amazing!

The hotel was fine but nothing special. The rooms were basic. The carpet and hallways felt old and outdated. The elevator was sketchy and one of them even broke down during my stay. The ac unit in my room was very loud and it sounded like you were in a wind tunnel so I had to turn if off when I was sleeping which made the room hot and stuffy. The front desk staff were very nice and the Bartender and server I had at the hotel restaurant were excellent-very kind and welcoming.
They had a decent happy hour at the bar and the breakfast was also good. The shower was great and I loved that they provided plant based and eco friendly soaps/toiletries.
The area was not that great and not near anything walkable. Seems like a hotel you'd stay at if you need to be semi close to the airport but not much else.

No complementary bottled water in the rooms. We had to buy water from the vending machine.
$30 parking charge per night for a non business day is high as the hotel is located in a business district.

Excellent hotel that knows its purpose - basically, it's a clean, convenient and quiet place to stay for anyone traveling the 5 Freeway through Orange County. The staff are particularly professional and helpful.

I have stayed here for several occasions and have found this hotel as one of my favorite. Having restaurant on premises is a plus. The hotel personnel is always accomodating to needs especially when I was a bit handicapped and using a can.

For a hotel of this “caliber”, I was very unhappy with managements resolution of a malfunctioning air conditioning unit that kept me awake all night.

Expensive in that it is an average property. It was very conveniently located to our Orange County events and was easy to get to. Staff were very nice and the dining room were staff exceptionally nice and very accommodating. Daily housekeeping service must be specifically requested, and we must have not noticed this policy upon check in, so when we returned late we had to request towels, etc. we paid $474 for 2 nights which, overall, was very pricey for this property.

We were in a king bed on 5th floor facing the pool. Very quiet! No noise from street or from rooms next door. The bed was very comfortable and a/c was quiet. The location is perfect because it’s right next to the freeway and right down the street from South Coast Plaza, and the outlet stores across from the plaza.

Reflective windows and a bathroom fan would’ve been great, otherwise I would stay there again.

I stayed at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Costa Mesa and was disappointed considering the $222 per night rate, even with a deal on Hotels.com. It seems the strategy is to charge a lot while providing minimal amenities.
The rear entrance door scrapes the floor and gets stuck. The front desk staff were friendly and allowed early check-in, which was nice. The room was clean but had an odd wet carpet odor. There were no complimentary water bottles, toothpaste, or toothbrushes. Soaps and shampoo were replaced with cheap shower gels. Toiletries had to be purchased in the lobby, and tap water smelled unpleasant.
Water bottles cost $5-$7.There were loud machinery noises day and night, despite no visible construction, creating a noisy environment. Breakfast was available but not complimentary.
Overall, the stay was mediocre, providing just the bare minimum of a clean room. Nothing special, just the basics.

From the very start upon arriving 1 hour before our check in time, i was greeted with a smile and friendly vibes. My room was ready early and the check in was quick and easy. My room was clean and fresh. Very comfortable bed. The breakfast buffet was excellent. The manager ordered me more french toast as the tray was empty. Great service and environment. Would definitely return to this hotel and/ or recommend to a friend or relative.

Yeah this isn’t a fancy Crown Plaza. It’s way cheaper but expect a 90s style Holiday Inn experience. It works. The staff was very good. Things in the room were broken. Like the toilet. And the AC.

Lobby and common areas are very nice and clean. Staff is super friendly. Rooms do not get cleaned until after your 3rd night. No central A/C and window unit is very loud and doesn't have an automatic on/off feature.

Although the check in process was great and the room was nice, the elevator kept on going out and the bathroom walls were a bit chipped. A little noisy from staff cleaning other rooms at all hours and people just loud you can hear the car alarms go off in the room I was on the 3rd floor. Bed was good. Tv kept going in and out
