The stay itself wasn’t bad, but the young man who checked us in clearly had no idea what he was doing. Made me run my card for “incidentals” on an already paid for room. I asked him twice why he made me swipe it rather than just confirm it matched the card on the reservation but he assured me nothing else would be charged to it. I could tell after he ran it he knew he messed up. Went down next morning as my card had been charged for the stay a second time. Lady at the front desk was absolutely rude to my daughter and I, telling me that “we don’t run your card for incidentals”. Well someone should maybe tell the hotel staff that. Then said they did a charge back previous night and I should have it 7-10 business days. She then snarkily told me “that’s on the bank not on us”. Had the front desk clerk not been as rude as she was I probably wouldn’t be leaving this review. Customer service is nonexistent at this hotel, and traveling is stressful enough without them charging you double for your stay and making you wait two weeks to get it back. That is unacceptable when it was their mess up to begin with.

Room was adequate. Chair in room was old and dirty looking. Breakfast was good.

The staff was helpful & friendly, but the cleanliness was not so good. I ended up having them move me to a different room because the toilet had used tissues in it with the seat up, there was a spot of coffee about the size of a quarter under the bathroom vanity, the carpet desperately needed to be vacuumed & there was a pizza box in the fridge. It doesn’t seem like anyone takes pride in their work anymore. I probably wouldn’t stay here again unless it was my only option.

This hotel is exceptionally dated and not updated like the photos suggest.
Everything from the ripped paint on the walls, the worn out chairs and the incorrectly fitted toilet seat leaves guests feel less than cozy. The housekeeping staff tended to leave heaps of bedding in the halls and to proximity to the road without any
All the hotels in Helena additionally jack up the prices 2x, 3x the cost of a weekday stay and the LaQuinta is not an exception.
Paying $750/2 day stay here is robbery.

Couldnt control the room temp. It was cold.

This hotel is very overpriced especially considering the age. It wasn't clean, but again the age and upkeep of the entire hotel should be addressed.

Absolute enjoyed the stay at this hotel, very relaxing. Front desk was very friendly and came out and visited my dog when I brought him in.

I’ve had good luck with La Quintas in the past. Our room floor was very dirty, wan’t vacuumed and a lot of hair on the bathroom floor, possibly from someone’s pet. The bedding was clean and bed was comfortable. Halls did not look vacuumed. Hotel had a nice weight room but no towels or cleaning equipment were in it. I was disappointed for a La Quinta.

Check in was super easy, and the room was quiet and clean. Breakfast was poor - bad coffee, watered down juices, tasteless eggs and sausage, and biscuits and gravy that tasted like paste. It needs more fresh fruit choices too.
We just needed a place to sleep for the night, and it served that purpose. Just skip the breakfast.

Room was not maintained at all by property management. Had nothing to do with housekeeping staff. The room and bathroom needs an entire gut and remodel. Remote didn’t work to the tv even after replacing the batteries and no help was offered after that. Pool was closed with no warning or heads up. Room had a musty smell. Spend the extra $30 and go stay at the Holiday Inn Express down the road!

I was expecting a decent hotel fir a La Quinta. Ive used this franchise a few times, and this one was by far the poorest quality LaQuinta Inn I have ever stayed at. Staff were decent, breakfast was cold bisquits and gravy, cold scrambled eggs, and cereal.

We booked this hotel as an outdoor pool was advertised. We were told it was closed for service upon check in. In our two night stay we did not see anyone working on the pool. Not great

There was some kind of odor in the building and once we were in our room it had some kind of musty smell.
Outside of the building in the parking lot there were several people sitting in vehicles. Was not sure if they were staying at the hotel or if something else was going on.

The first room that I was booked in, I opened the drawer to the dresser and I found food that had been there for at least multiple days. I went downstairs and the girl at the front desk was mortified and gave me a new room. I was happy with my new room, except one of the windows didn’t have an actual black out blind behind the decorative one. I was blinded by light every morning. I also called the day before I left. I asked for a late checkout. That wasn’t communicated to the staff. And people were knocking on my door an hour before I needed to leave. Also- don’t tell me you have “clean remotes” when I found a hair attached to one of them. So disappointed.

Way overpriced for what the hotel and grounds are. Dirty/stained bedding. Badly in need of touch up and repairs everywhere. Noisy, squealing toilet when flushed. Heavily rusted door jam to bathroom. Very subpar. Would not recommend nor bring my family there again. Unsafe area next to low income housing/apts and next to a Travelodge. Suspect people hanging out around parking lot. Checked on my car several times out the window before going to bed. Super squeaky bed. I was ashamed to have booked it. Any other reviewers who rated this location favorably are…not telling the truth, low standards or something. It was bad. Really bad

When we arrived at 8pm our room (reserved for several weeks) was not ready. After a 10 hour drive we had to wait for a room to be cleaned. The entire building could use a touch up - from paint to the moldy hole in the shower ceiling. The breakfast was appreciated but limited (no granola, no hard boiled eggs, etc.). There are many other La Quintas in great condition, so this one was a disappointment.

Apond arrival Hotel location was questionable as far as traffic noise. We had a room at the back it was quiet.

The hotel was okay. Nothing spectacular for the price. They served “great value” brand bread and bagels for breakfast. The cooler with the yogurt and milk in it was not even cold. The yogurt felt warm. The front desk staff was okay but not the best.

Stayed here for business my first room had no shower curtain, second room had so much hair in the sink it wouldn't drain. Only reason I stayed was because it was prepaid. I will not stay here again!

A decent hotel for the price. Breakfast wasn’t great.

Had a very good stay.

Holes in the pillow cases. Half of the rooms on our floor were left mid-cleaning when we arrived at 9 pm. Cleaning carts left in the hallway. Redone, but patches on the wall where paint wasnt covering. It just felt...icky.

I had prepaid and had purchased the insurance. I was in an auto accident 150 miles from the location . I called the hotel from the hospital to cancel my room and a refund. They said basically, too bad. You'll have to call hotels.com. I did and was disconnected. I couldn't call back as like I said was at the hospital. Thanks guys, I'm sure you needed my 200.00 bucks.

The breakfast food was cold. And I thought there was a hot tub and indoor pool. That was on
me. The room was clean.

The staff was friendly. The noise from the interstate was loud. The king deluxe room was spacious, but there were pills on the floor by the bed that were left and not cleaned up. The area rug and love seat were very dirty. The continental breakfast was good.

Garbage cans were full around pool when we checked in

The pictures are on the website are completely different than what you see when you walk in. Pool is very small and there are no trees lined along the pool. it has fencing and the view is industrial. All around the hotel looked awful with homeless people camped out in the next parking lot and yelling to us as we were going in. The room itself was clean but everything else needed updating. The girl at the desk was very sweet.

Easy to use and good staff

The location next to a major road was noisy, and we had a neighbor that was blaring their TV all night. The hotel staff did attempt to address the tv issue but was not able to contact the guest. The pool was clean and the staff was friendly.

The hotel is nice, the room is spacious , comfortable beds . Everything clean , renovated .
