Location cannot be beat and staff service was excellent. They had extra amenities like coolers and beach umbrellas, which was really helpful. The bedspread was super dusty and we had to remove it due to allergies, and other cleaning issues weren’t the best which was disappointing since you pay several hundred dollars in cleaning fees. We had several large centipedes on the ground floor in the unit. There was also a lot of construction going on in the unit next to us which made things loud. Pool was lovely but much smaller than it appears in the pictures. Gym was small but cute with open walls so it felt like it was outdoors. I would recommend overall and would go back there, but probably not to a ground floor unit.

Really loved how the place is right on the ocean, beautiful sunrises each morning. The amenities are a bit dated and the floors could use a deep scrubbing but overall we very much enjoyed our stay. Loved the central island location and the Coconut Mall next door. I would visit again.

Staff was great as well as the restaurant on premises was great. The resort was clean and well kept and the room was clean.

Not the 9 rating I expected. Room smelled like mold and mildew. Broken parts on dryer and dishwasher. Low shower water pressure.
Good mattress on bed. Comfortable couch hide a bed. Sheets were not comfortable and had hair in them from someone else. Close to ocean but no beach. Swimming pool is shallow. Nice restaurant on sight.

Great property. Only issue is as soon as you get there they start pushing timeshares. Other than that a very nice place to stay.

Nice place, quiet, good place to start your day of exploring the island.

Pros: washer and dryer in suites. Convenient location. Lots of shops and restaurants within walking distance. Great shopping center right across property. Plenty of parking and it’s free. Plenty of clean grills around property. Kids friendly.
Cons: property very outdated. No elevators, had to carry my suitcases up 3 flights of stairs. Timeshare sales pitch upon check in.

Overall a very nice property. VERY convenient shopping and dinning w/ market just steps across the parking lot.
Ground were very nice. Close to a small coffee spot and very friendly staff. Centrally located to all parts of the island with abundant parking.
Wish they had better early morning rooster noise control!

The balcony overlooking the ocean was incredible.

This resort was absolutely breathtaking! I wasn’t expecting this when we drove up to the property! Everything you need is within arms reach! If what you want isn’t directly on the property or across the street at the market, downtown is within walking distance. The beaches will leave you stunned and the staff are amazing! It is so serene and beautiful here! You are doing yourself and family a disservice by not booking here! Stop wondering where to stay, stay here!

This was a great stay! My daughter and I stayed for 4 nights and had everything we needed for small meals or larger ones (if we had wanted to cook). It’s a 2 minute walk to a nearby grocery store and all kinds of local eateries in the Coconut Marketplace. If you’re going to stay in Kapaa, the location is excellent.

We love staying at the Kauai Coast Resort at the Beachboy! The suites are large, kitchen well -stocked and very clean. Love having a washer and dryer in the unit as well. The location is perfect, right by the Coconut Marketplace and of course, right on the ocean. Will definitely stay there again.

Property was nice and clean. We enjoyed the close proximity to several hiking trails, beaches and other attractions.

This property far exceeded our expectations and was an outstanding value compared to anyplace else we looked at.

This place was definitely older and needs major updates. Staff was nice. TV in 3210 in master has 3 lines on broken screen which was very annoying at night to watch any tv when it was raining. 3 sliding doors were rusty and some wouldnt even lock which did not give any peace to sleep. You could hear everyone walk in the hallway on the 3rd floor and the roosters sounded like they were in the room because the glass and walls so thin. Lanai's were sketchy and railings unsafe to touch. Pool was great. Shops and food nice and close.

It wasn't a bad stay, but of the three places I stayed on Kauai I liked this by far the least. So it's unlikely I would return.
On the positive side, It's in a decent location. The back is not very compelling, but at least you can enjoy a decent view and the waves coming in etc. Dining options were mostly non-existent, but there are some decent dining options across the street in a cool little shopping center.
My room was decent sized, It offered a medium sized fridge (with small freezer), along with plates, glasses, and paper towels. The wifi was pretty good, the tv was horrible, the bed was decent.
It's a 3-story property, and there are no elevators. Meaning that if you're on the 3rd floor, you'll be lugging your luggage up flights of stairs.
Parking was a bit of an issue, because they painted the parking lines too close together, causing some chaos as guests try to squeeze in between other cars.
It may be the only hotel that I've been to that DOES NOT OFFER ICE. Owch.
They offer the services of someone who supposidly can help you find and book activities. She seemed very disinterested, and turned out to be *completely useless*. She could literally find no activities in the categories that I wanted, but 15min spent on my laptop I found lots of options.
They also have a policy where they will never clean your room or refresh any supplies unless you specifically negotiate that.

Only thing, knowing we had a 17month old and a 4 year old they put us on the 3rd floor with no elevator. Lugging all the luggage up with kids and stroller was just not easy.

We had a problem with the shower leaking on the floor. The maintenance person came out quickly to fix it. Also for older people, we think adding a grab bar to the tub would be a good safety measure, or at least provide a non slip mat for the bathtub..
Otherwise everything was great as we have experienced over the past 15 years or more.

The grounds were beautiful. The sheets were heavenly soft.

Expedia, you should follow the room descriptions that the actual properties have on their websites. I booked the incorrect room type because the descriptions were not the same. So, our guests had to spend five nights in a studio, but it wasn't called that on the Expedia site. We are Shell Vacation Club owners and sent our friends here for their anniversary. We were shocked to hear what disrepair the rooms were in, not to mention, mouse droppings, and cockroaches. Big gaps in the doors, not closing tightly. The excuse was all the visitors that were to visit Maui before the fires. However, we booked this in April. Wyndham, where are our maintenance fees going? Each year the fees increase but the condition of the properties gets worse.

The pool is nicer than the pictures, they do have a pool bar which opens daily between 12-6, which is nice.
They are open up the pool and Jacuzzi up until late - 10PM. I wish they would leave the Jacuzzi at least open later and have more convenient sitting places for night time for those who enjoy the nights (not that popular in Hawaii apparently)
The kitchen was well equipped, which was important for us for a long stay. They also have a dryer and washer in the room and supply the powder for that which is great!
They don't have a lot of "attractions" things to do on property, adding a pool table, ping pong, video games for kids could be a nice addition. They do have large 4 in a row game and "bags".
Anyone can wonder into the property and I suspect that some locals actually do, I saw one of the sellers from a nearby shop enjoy the Jacuzzi one evening - but Aloha. It didn't bother us. This is the case with all of the coastline resorts, some give your bracelet to "fight" these phenomena.
All in all was a great place to stay for a family of 6.

Great place. The mattress felt old and uncomfortable at the edges especially. Otherwise great place and would stay again for this price range. Very convenient location too.

We loved staying here. The property was beautiful and not too crowded. We had a king room and it had a living room and kitchen separated from the bedroom. The kitchen had everything we needed and saved us a lot of money from eating out. There was even a washer and dryer. Had I known, I would have packed lighter. The ocean on this side of the island was too rough for swimming, but you can drive down to Lydgate beach to swim in protected areas. Bring your mask and snorkel! I also highly recommend driving up to Koke’e state park to see Waimea canyon and the overlook at the end of the road. Absolutely beautiful!

Loved our ocean view from our room. There’s no housekeeping. You can wash your own towels or call for towel service.

We booked our ocean front room via Expedia back in late Apr/2023. Few weeks before our departure, we got a message from the hotel notifying us about the walking path construction (mid April to end of June) during our stay. For some reasons, there wasn’t any warning on the website, or else we would book another hotel. Since our booking was non refundable, the remedy from the hotel was only putting a request for 2nd or 3rd floor accommodation depending on availability. Upon our arrival, there wasn’t any availability & we had no choice but to stay at ground floor ocean front room. There’s a barrier blocking the whole ocean front. Basically we had no view…..
In addition, the kids upstairs kept running around during night time & early morning. We complaint at the front desk & requested a change of room. Again, no availability. I was told that front desk would contact the guests upstairs to keep down the noise. They only kept quiet for one night & back to the disturbance the follow nights onwards. There’s no point for us to keep complaining with inconsiderate guests!

The grounds are in need of some TLC. The pool was underwhelming and the beach access was rocky and when we visited was taped off due to construction for a walking path. The room made up for it! It was a great set up. Very clean and comfortable! We did enjoy connect 4 and corn hole while barbecuing at the outdoor area. The location is very convenient to get to many places! Overall good stay.

The room was clean & spacious.
We only stayed 2 nights. Unfortunately, our 1st night was full of loud drama for hours. I was putting my kid to bed when we heard two women hysterically screaming in hallway that they lost their kids. After the screaming went on for a long time, my kid got scared that there was a kidnapper (I assured her that the kids had probably just wandered off) but to reassure her, I texted the front desk. The front desk texted back shortly after to say that the children had been found and that it is just a misunderstanding.
A while after that situation was resolved, more screaming ensued. A man & woman were fighting loudly with each other in the hallway outside our room. They were both very intoxicated. This went on for at least 30 minutes and finally I heard the man yell, "I guess I'm going back to jail!" and then it became silent finally (after what had now been two hours of screaming from differing parties, late at night, which made it impossible to sleep).
The next day the pool was nice. However, the poolside bartender Tamera was a real downer. She kept talking out loud to an off-duty co-worker about how she "wanted out" and her vibe was depressing. She also acted offered when I said that there had been a lot of drama the night before (even though every other person at the bar instantly agreed that they had heard it all too). She was so unpleasant to interact with that we started walking to the market to buy drinks instead.
