A beautiful little property with the best breakfast I have had at a hotel in a long time! The room was spacious, with a great bathroom with a bath, and very pretty view over the grounds. The dining room was beautiful and we wish we had the time ti go to the bar. Only thing we wished was there was a nice walk on or from the property but it is quite small grounds, but it was pretty it was just our oversight.

Fantastic customer service from Andrea on reception. She made us feel so welcome and nothing was too much trouble. She delivered milk and cookies and got me some decaf tea and told us we could have breakfast early in our room as we had to leave just before service for a competition.
The communal areas like the bar and restaurant were very lovely and our bedroom had been upgraded so my 10 year old was delighted with a Queen sized bed all to himself. A wonderful stay and we will be back!

This was our first stay at the Audleys Wood Hotel and chose it as we had previously been there for a wedding and were impressed with the beautiful grounds. We booked two classic double rooms, one of which overlooked the gardens, and both were beautifully decorated with relaxing chairs, a desk, comfortable beds, plenty of storage space and lamps. We were happy to have a fridge and large tv in the room. The bathroom was clean, spacious and we had robes and slippers available in the room. The rooms were quiet. The hotel staff were attentive and kind, parking was free and the bar area was lovely and relaxing.
We did notice some stains on the furniture and the hotel food was overpriced so we opted to eat out for breakfast and lunch but as there were plenty of dining options a short drive away, this wasn't an issue. The hotel is close to shopping, dining and places of interest.
We will return here one day.

What an absolutely lovely hotel. Set in beautiful grounds the room was spacious, well furnished and very comfortable. The facilities in the bathroom were top notch for my disabled wife. Breakfast was a buffet style and excellent quality.

This is a beautiful hotel in beautiful grounds. The furnishings and decoration of the lounge, bar and restaurant are really nice. The rooms are large and comfortable and very well designed.

Comfortable classic country hotel. The suites are much nicer than the standard rooms.
Our room needed maintenance as the ancient windows had issues and were not fully closed. Otherwise, the room was in excellent shape.
The bar and restaurant are fun and comfortable. The staff is very pleasant and helpful.

This is a secluded place outside Basinkstoke as part of the "Hand Picked" hotel network. During the Christmas time they welcome guests by offering little perks which shows a high level of care for the guests. The breakfast is solid and done fresh. I imagine that during non pandemic times this hotel is busy and the atmosphere is different. Nevertheless we spent there 5 nights and found them as the most decent option in the area. Other highlights: good beds, superior linen and towels.

Very pleasant stay. Staff welcoming. Very nice breakfast. Bed very comfortable. Will definitely be staying here again.

My family and I had a very disappointing stay at Audleys Wood Hotel in Basingstoke. I had booked three executive rooms and paid for them upfront through Hotels.con. On arrival, the (patronising and rude) receptionist was clearly confused about our booking and insisted that she charge my credit card again for the rooms before she would provide us with room keys. This, she explained, was the only way the hotel could recover monies from Expedia! I explained that I had already paid through Hotels.com but to no avail. My card was charged with three different amounts totalling in excess of £500. Once we arrived in the rooms, they were very dusty and my daughter’s room did not have the cot previously requested. On requesting this from reception we were informed that the janitors had now left for the day. It eventually turned up and was left unmade up in the corridor. On departure, I was assured that the payments made the previous night would not be charged but were simply holding charges. Plus I was to be refunded part of the cost of the rooms as “Hotels.com had overcharged me” (this was not true) and my dinner bill. This turned out to false as the charges were realised on my credit card and despite the refunds, it meant that I had paid an additional £137. This was refunded after three tense phone calls. To add further insult, we had a beetle scurry across the floor of our room during the stay. Also worth noting - the restaurant staff were great. But overall, a dreadful experience.

Beautiful garden and building. Furnishings very dark, heavy and old fashioned. Terrible carpet in public areas.

Very nice hotel, staff friendly, food lovely, felt very covid safe!

Front of house very pleasant but restaurant staff could be better such as bringing the hot cooked breakfast before we had finished our bowls of fresh fruit

A nice quiet hotel in the countryside with an excellent resturant

We loved the hotel and had a great stay. Our only issue was that we had prepaid for breakfast however Saturday breakfast does not start until 8:00am. Since we had a flight back to the US, we had to leave at 7:00.

A beautiful hotel set in picturesque grounds. Staff were friendly and attentive.

The Hotel was very nice, I am very pleased with the staff because they were all really nice and they made us feel welcomed. The surroundings are beautiful and the hotel room was nice, we were really pleased with the breakfast.
The only thing I was not pleased about was the fact that from our room you could hear the people talking on the hall

Great front of house. Waiting staff variable. Rooms lovely and quiet and great surroundings. room could have been cleaner.Breakfast superb. Dinner a bit hit and miss.
4.5
The surroundings, but no where to sit in the sun outside & no swimming pool
4.5
True gracious living in a property which has not been ruined in its conversion to a hotel. Note: Many rooms are in the modern new wing... not all are in the old part of the house... but the public rooms are. And the hotel is set apart in beautiful grounds: A very nice respite from "the outside world.

We met here, on a recommendation, for a 50-year reunion. The staff involved in helping to organise the event could not have been more helpful, and the same was true on the day. We enjoyed to food and dinner and breakfast, and the rooms were quiet and comfortable. At times the bar service was slow (possible the staff were taking drinks to rooms where events were being held), but overall service at reception and in the dining room was excellent

Bathroom in our executive room was dirty.Soap residue around taps and shower screen. Shower screen was water marked.Pictures taken of both these. As it was 20+ °C outside we turned on the A/C which seemed to be asthmatic and didnt cool despite following the instructions on the wall. Breakfast was awful, bacon could have been revived by a good vet tomatoes hard o/j warmer than the coffee. We stayed at a Premier inn the night before (only 4 miles away) for less than half the price of Audley wood. Wish we'd stayed there both nights.Would not stay at Audley Wood again.
