We had to move to another room as the initial room was under construction. The 2nd room was under another room where the plumbing was bad. It sounded like a helicopter landed on the property each time the guests above us would use their restroom. Overall, the front desk did what they could considering the night shift only has 1 employee working. The hotel is dated and not near the water. There is no view of the ocean and not in walking distance of Legoland.

Room was clean and recently renovated. They should put more towel hooks in the bathroom area, there was only two small hooks. Overall a great hotel right across the outlet mall and next to some great restaurants.

Need a car or get used to taxis; aside from gas stations and fast food it’s not really near anything except legoland, for which there is a shuttle. Walking to the beach is about 20 mins, part of which is across a bridge with no sidewalk. Exciting. Had pretty bad sleep here; old plumbing making banging and howling noises when the neighbouring rooms showered (at 6am). Room was otherwise comfortable, bed good, but decor felt slightly worn. Random $40 charge for “amenities” on checkin; whatever.

I love staying here ,I come from Los Angeles for my trainings due to my business. I bring my family with me and enjoy the pool the outlets and the windmill food court is twice a year thing.

I have stayed here many times. I love the pool view and sitting on the patio. The room is clean and the bed is comfortable. The pol is nice and the grounds are well kept.

I’ve stayed in hundreds of hotels all over the planet and this place was the worst of them all. They are actively remodeling, the plumbing fixtures can’t decide if you’re getting cold or steaming hot water, the floor was dirty, and the ice machines were inoperable. I won’t even speculate as to what they were trying to fix by stuffing a partial roll of toilet paper behind the hot water line under the sink.

You cannot beat the location. The food court on property is amazing! You can easily walk to Legoland. My only challenge was the very loud air conditioner that woke me up consistently thru the night. It would also be nice if the shuttle ran more often and ended after Sea-Life closed.

Just wondering if linens are completely changed BEFORE EVERY ADMISSION... feeling itchy first night, ( and only night... stayed overnight only, thank goodness) Staff at the desk were all very nice; I liked the location too.

The room had a lot of spiders in it, which means a lot of bugs. The spiders and I came to an understanding. The bed was decent, but the couch was uncomfortable and the general furnishings were lacking. The tv was way too far from the bed, if on the couch there were no side or coffee table to set a drink. Lack of efficient lighting. Bathroom was in need of updating and the towels and soap/shampoos were not very good. THERE IS NO ELEVATOR to take your stuff up to the second floor. and last is the invasion of privacy. I left bc I felt unsafe staying. They tell you they will not do housekeeping unless requested, so no entering the room unless I ask for it. I did NOT ask and they came while I was gone. Then even worse was that they came while I was in the shower (which is next to the door) and I said 'dont come in', not only did they try to open the door, they then shut it and tried it a second time! as I was then screaming at them to not enter. I luckily had the safety latch on. I immediately called the front desk and reported it. Then the next day it happened again! I really had high hopes for this place, but I did not enjoy it at all and will not be returning and will never recommend this place.

Me and my girlfriend came for a wedding and stayed a couple extra nights. Beautiful area, awesome hotel and everything we could want was either there at the hotel or right next door. It was the perfect place for a 3 day weekend.

Our second time here. There was a problem with loud music turned on by the pool In the middle of the night caused by a computer issue. When I raised it with the front desk they allowed us a very late check out and compensation. We will definitely be back.

I arrived and the girl at the front desk was on the phone for about 15 minutes with a complaining customer. She mentioned she would offer another room but there wasn’t any available 100% booked. Pool/hot tub was not enjoyable due to about 25 teenagers being loud and running around. All the kids filled the hot tub. The room floor was dirty. After showering and walking around are socks were black and filthy wish I took a picture. Weird loud noise coming out of the ac vent which made it hard to sleep peacefully

We were in a downstairs room next to the stairs. Family with kids let them run up and down the stairs and because it was hard flooring, every sound was SO LOUD. Sounded like there was no insulation.Bed was really hard and uncomfy but the pillows were nice! Staff was super friendly and nice! Room was clean!

It waw a pretty average room. We were only given 1 washcloth for 3 of us, but the shower didn't have good water pressure and the water was lukewarm, at best. I was honestly a little disappointed. It was very convenient for shopping and going to the beach and Legoland. The staff with whom we intereacted were very friendly and professional.

Room was just okay but the night service was terrible. Staff let a massive party scream and yell in the pool until 11:30. When I called to ask what time the pool closed I was met with rude and condescending attitude from the night host. I asked if she could tell them to be quiet and she hung up on me. Love the location and that it’s dog friendly, but other services could be better.

Check in was slow. Only 1 person at the desk and took forever. She gave us our key cards and both did not work on the gate and door. The gate was unlocked when we got there. The map was misleading, we could not find our building right away. The lighting in the room are not bright. They need to put more lamps. The second day, our key cards did not work again! The jacuzzi is cold and dirty. The day of check out, there were trash in the parking lot and shoved all those trash underneath my car! This place is outdated. It's not worth the money and stay. I will not stay here again.

Cobwebs, broken bathroom fan, mildew in bathroom, lights didn’t work, drapes broken, 10 cent soap and shampoo in the shower, three days in a row our room key didn’t work, anniversary trip and instead of a king bed they put us in two queens…tv was an adventure…tree trimmings and branches hit my truck…overall, terrible

Honestly we booked last minute. With that being said, the hotel is very mid. It’s outdated and we booked a King size studio with a pull out bed. When we pulled out the couch bed there was pizza crumbs on it and a red shirt under the couch. This place needs a renovation. It has an amazing location with tons of stuff nearby (We went to LEGOLAND which is like 0.7 of a mile away) the beach is beautiful and the service was great. Just expected a little more when it came to the hotel itself. The front door would get stuck like the hinges were messed up. There’s only 3 chairs in the room two of them being outside on the balcony. The beds are really springy uncomfortably so. All in all I give this hotel like a 2.5-3 star. The staff though are amazing, they get a 5 star.

I have been wanting to stay here for years. It always looked like such a fun place in line with the name. What I didn't know is the sea/beach is across an interstate highway. Meh. In the rooms, the TV's take a half hour to figure out how to use them and they don't have a guide. Meh. The soaps and lotions are on the wall, no shower caps or toothbrushes or anything. Others in our party had to go to the front desk to get towels, etc that weren't in their rooms...one had to get toilet paper. Found out that they jacked up the prices due to Pride Week in San Diego...we were there for a wedding at their venue and had quite a few room, you'd think they'd do better for a wedding party. Supposed to have a continental breakfast. Nope. There is a wonderful seafood restaurant right next store with an unbelievable selection. That was the only outstanding thing about this place. Very disappointed. And for the price?? It was robbery.

Maybe a little expensive for what it is but overall good. My wife is a bit of a clean freak and she wasnt fully satisfied on the cleanliness around the baseboards or stairwells but it wasnt so bad that we felt we needed to find another place. The pool was nice and the laundry facilities on site were very welcome. There was lots to eat in the immediate area and just a few minutes drive into Carlsbad with great restaurants and overall nice beach town atmosphere made our family vacation good. We cane for Legoland which was super close and the shuttle from the hotel was great.
